The time-bound hierarchical key assignment scheme provides a cryptographic solution for the access control problem in distributed systems (e.g., Pay-TV and cloud computing applications). Most time-bound hierarchical key assignment schemes can be divided into two types: adopting tamper-resistant devices and utilizing public values. Despite the fact that adopting tamper-resistant devices can easily resist to collusion attacks, utilizing public values is much cheaper and more suitable for cloud environment. In this paper, we proposed a new time-bound hierarchical key assignment scheme, which can effectively defeat the collusion attack. Besides, the proposed scheme utilizes public values instead of tamper-resistant devices, which will restrict user’s convenience. Compared with the previous works, our scheme requires fewer public values and has better performance.

This article describes how nowadays, cloud computing is one of the advanced areas of Information Technology (IT) sector. Since there are many hackers and malicious users on the internet, it is very important to secure the confidentiality of data in the cloud environment. In recent years, access control has emerged as a challenging issue of cloud computing. Access control method allows data accessing of an authorized user. Existing access control schemes mainly focus on the confidentiality of the data storage. In this article, a novel access control scheme has been proposed for efficient data accessing. The proposed scheme allows reducing the searching cost and accessing time, while providing the data to the user. It also maintains the security of the user's confidential data.

Cloud computing is based on years of research on various computing paradigms. It provides elasticity, which is useful in the situations of uneven ICT resources demands. As the world is moving towards digitalization, the education sector is expected to meet the pace. Acquiring and maintaining the ICT resources also necessitates a huge amount of cost. Education sector as a community can use cloud services on various levels. Though the cloud is very successfully running technology, it also shows some flaws in the area of security, privacy and trust. The research demonstrates a model in which major security areas are covered like authorization, authentication, identity management, access control, privacy, data encryption, and network security. The total idea revolves around the community cloud as university at the center and other associated colleges accessing the resources. This study uses OpenStack environment to create a complete cloud environment. The validation of the model is performed using some cases and some tools.

Cloud computing is becoming a de facto standard for most of the emerging technology solutions. In a typical cloud environment, various tenants purchase the compute, storage resource, and would be sharing the resource with other tenants. Sharing of the resources among various tenants is not popular due to the security concerns. There are few solutions that try to solve the security problem of resource sharing among tenants. Having a trusted mediator between multiple tenants is one of the methods. Few research papers have been written, and this chapter attempts to enhance one of the published solutions: Cross-tenant access control model for cloud computing. Most of the existing research papers explore the theoretical way to solve the problem. This project develops a working prototype and proves how resource sharing can be achieved. This research develops the concept of resource sharing activation, where the resource can be shared with multiple cloud tenant and the deactivation where the shared resources can be removed from the shared resource pool.

Cloud computing is a highly demanding zone in the present IT enterprise. The key characteristics are adaptability, productivity, pay-per-utilize, and cost viability. Access control and information security are the significant issues in cloud computing. Various access control strategies are present. The major problems of storing data in expandable access control and access rights from users are not used in this scheme. This chapter presents a generic survey on scalable and secure access control systems and schemes in cloud computing with a key focus on cloud security. Research gaps in the existing literature on cloud security are presented.

Abstract Cloud computing has emerged as the most dominant computational paradigm in recent times. There are tremendous benefits for enterprises adopting cloud technologies. It provides resources and services on demand, pay-as-you go basis. This includes infrastructure, platform and software services. But there are still a number of security threats and challenges associated with utilizing cloud computing. A proper access control is the fundamental security requirement in any cloud environment, to avoid unauthorized access to the cloud systems. As cloud computing supports multi-tenancy and has a various categories of users with different sets of security requirements, traditional access control models and policies cannot be used. This paper discusses on various access control models used for cloud environment and presents a detailed requirement analysis for developing an access control, specifically for the cloud. A comprehensive study on various security problems associated with outsourced data on the cloud and their existing solutions are also described, with the future research directions.

The homomorphic proxy re-encryption scheme combines the characteristics of a homomorphic encryption scheme and proxy re-encryption scheme. The proxy can not only convert a ciphertext of the delegator into a ciphertext of the delegatee, but also can homomorphically calculate the original ciphertext and re-encryption ciphertext belonging to the same user, so it is especially suitable for cloud computing. Yin et al. put forward the concept of a strong collusion attack on a proxy re-encryption scheme, and carried out a strong collusion attack on the scheme through an example. The existing homomorphic proxy re-encryption schemes use key switching algorithms to generate re-encryption keys, so it can not resist strong collusion attack. In this paper, we construct the first lattice-based homomorphic proxy re-encryption scheme with strong anti-collusion (HPRE-SAC). Firstly, algorithm TrapGen is used to generate an encryption key and trapdoor, then trapdoor sampling is used to generate a decryption key and re-encryption key, respectively. Finally, in order to ensure the homomorphism of ciphertext, a key switching algorithm is only used to generate the evaluation key. Compared with the existing homomorphic proxy re-encryption schemes, our HPRE-SAC scheme not only can resist strong collusion attacks, but also has smaller parameters.

Load balancing makes cloud computing greater knowledgeable and could increase client pleasure. At reward cloud computing is among the all most systems which offer garage of expertise in very lowers charge and available all the time over the net. However, it has extra vital hassle like security, load administration and fault tolerance. Load balancing inside the cloud computing surroundings has a large impact at the presentation. The set of regulations relates the sport idea to the load balancing manner to amplify the abilties in the public cloud environment. This textual content pronounces an extended load balance mannequin for the majority cloud concentrated on the cloud segregating proposal with a swap mechanism to select specific strategies for great occasions.

In Cloud computing environment QoS i.e. Quality-of-Service and cost is the key element that to be take care of. As, today in the era of big data, the data must be handled properly while satisfying the request. In such case, while handling request of large data or for scientific applications request, flow of information must be sustained. In this paper, a brief introduction of workflow scheduling is given and also a detailed survey of various scheduling algorithms is performed using various parameter.

In order to solve the trust problems between users and cloud computing service providers in cloud computing services, the existing trust evaluation technology and access control technology in the cloud computing service are analyzed. And the evaluation index of cloud computing is also analyzed. Users can calculate the relevant indicators of cloud computing service according to their own business goals, and choose the appropriate cloud computing services according to their own trust need. In addition, the reliability assessment method of users based on the service process is proposed. Cloud computing access control system can be used for user credibility evaluation, and it can handle user access requests according to user's creditability. In the study, a cloud computing service trust evaluation tool is designed, and the modeling and architecture designs of trust evaluation are also given. The effectiveness of the method is verified by experiments on cloud computing service evaluation methods.
