This paper provides a method to numerically measure the quality of working life based on the reduction of human resource risks. It is conducted through the improved metaheuristic grasshopper optimization algorithm in two phases. First, a go-to study is carried out to identify the relationship between quality of working life and human resource risks in the capital market and to obtain the factors from quality of working life which reduce the risks. Then, a method is presented for the numerical measurement of these factors using a fuzzy inference system based on an adaptive neural network and a new hybrid method called the improved grasshopper optimization algorithm. This algorithm consists of the grasshopper optimization algorithm and the bees algorithm. It is found that the newly proposed method performs better and provides more accurate results than the conventional one.

Due to the lack of inertia and uncertainty in the selection of optimal Proportional Integral (PI) controller gains, the voltage and frequency variations are higher in the islanded mode of the operation of a Microgrid (MG) compared to the grid-connected mode. This study, as such, develops an optimal control strategy for the voltage and frequency regulation of Photovoltaic (PV) based MG systems operating in islanding mode using Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA). The intelligence of the GOA is utilized to optimize the PI controller parameters. This ensures an enhanced dynamic response and power quality of the studied MG system during Distributed Generators (DG) insertion and load change conditions. A droop control is also employed within the control architecture, alongside the voltage and current control loops, as a power-sharing controller. In order to validate the performance of the proposed control architecture, its effectiveness in regulating MG voltage, frequency, and power quality is compared with the precedent Artificial Intelligence (AI) based control architectures for the same control objectives. The effectiveness of the proposed GOA based parameter selection method is also validated by analyzing its performance with respect to the improved transient response and power quality of the studied MG system in comparison with that of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Whales Optimization Algorithm (WOA) based parameter selection methods. The simulation results establish that the GOA provides a faster and better solution than PSO and WOA which resulted in a minimum voltage and frequency overshoot with minimum output current and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).

Należy nadmienić, że teoriopoznawcze rozważania oparto na podstawowych wskazaniach pedagogiki pracy dotyczących kierowania zespołami ludzkimi i jednocześnie nawiązujących do idei programów zwanych Quality of Working Life, oznaczających „jakość życia w pracy”.

This work addresses the deployment problem in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) by hybridizing two metaheuristics, namely the Bees Algorithm (BA) and the Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (GOA). The BA is an optimization algorithm that demonstrated promising results in solving many engineering problems. However, the local search process of BA lacks efficient exploitation due to the random assignment of search agents inside the neighborhoods, which weakens the algorithm’s accuracy and results in slow convergence especially when solving higher dimension problems. To alleviate this shortcoming, this paper proposes a hybrid algorithm that utilizes the strength of the GOA to enhance the exploitation phase of the BA. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, it is applied for WSNs deployment optimization with various deployment settings. Results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid algorithm can optimize the deployment of WSN and outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of coverage, overlapping area, average moving distance, and energy consumption.

Abstract Background Nurses have a vital role in the healthcare system. One of the basic steps to increase their happiness is to recognize factors such as job satisfaction and quality of working life. Therefore, the goal of the present study was to examine the relationship between happiness and quality of working life and job satisfaction among nursing personnel. Methods This descriptive study was carried out on 270 hospital nurses who worked in emergency departments in Iran. Nurses were recruited through the census method. Data collection instruments included the Oxford Happiness Inventory (OHI), the Quality of Work Life Questionnaire (QWL), and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (JSQ). Data were explored using descriptive statistics, and stepwise multiple linear regression analysis. Results The mean age of participants was 30.1 ± 6.26 years. The mean happiness score was 38.5 ± 16.22, the mean Quality of Working Life (QWL) score was 84.3 ± 17.62, and the mean job satisfaction score was found to be 45.5 ± 13.57); corresponding to moderate levels of attributes. The results obtained from the ordinary least-square (OLS) regression indicated that happiness significantly was associated with economic status and satisfaction with closure (R2: 0.38). Conclusion Overall the current study found that nurses who work in emergency departments did not feel happy. Additionally, the findings suggest that their happiness were associated with their economic status, and closure over their duties.
