In the process of product collaborative design, the association between designers can be described by a complex network. Exploring the importance of the nodes and the rules of information dissemination in such networks is of great significance for distinguishing its core designers and potential designer teams, as well as for accurate recommendations of collaborative design tasks. Based on the neighborhood similarity model, combined with the idea of network information propagation, and with the help of the ReLU function, this paper proposes a new method for judging the importance of nodes—LLSR. This method not only reflects the local connection characteristics of nodes but also considers the trust degree of network propagation, and the neighbor nodes’ information is used to modify the node value. Next, in order to explore potential teams, an LA-LPA algorithm based on node importance and node similarity was proposed. Before the iterative update, all nodes were randomly sorted to get an update sequence which was replaced by the node importance sequence. When there are multiple largest neighbor labels in the propagation process, the label with the highest similarity is selected for update. The experimental results in the related networks show that the LLSR algorithm can better identify the core nodes in the network, and the LA-LPA algorithm has greatly improved the stability of the original LPA algorithm and has stably mined potential teams in the network.

The weights of criteria in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems are essential elements that can significantly affect the results. Accordingly, researchers developed and presented several methods to determine criteria weights. Weighting methods could be objective, subjective, and integrated. This study introduces a new method, called MEREC (MEthod based on the Removal Effects of Criteria), to determine criteria’ objective weights. This method uses a novel idea for weighting criteria. After systematically introducing the method, we present some computational analyses to confirm the efficiency of the MEREC. Firstly, an illustrative example demonstrates the procedure of the MEREC for calculation of the weights of criteria. Secondly, a comparative analysis is presented through an example for validation of the introduced method’s results. Additionally, we perform a simulation-based analysis to verify the reliability of MEREC and the stability of its results. The data of the MCDM problems generated for making this analysis follow a prevalent symmetric distribution (normal distribution). We compare the results of the MEREC with some other objective weighting methods in this analysis, and the analysis of means (ANOM) for variances shows the stability of its results. The conducted analyses demonstrate that the MEREC is efficient to determine objective weights of criteria.

A new twelfth-order four-step formula containing fourth derivatives for the numerical integration of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation has been developed. It was found that by adding multi-derivative terms, the stability of a linear multi-step method can be improved and the interval of periodicity of this new method is larger than that of the Numerov's method. The numerical test shows that the new method is superior to the previous lower orders in both accuracy and efficiency and it is specially applied to the problem when an increasing accuracy is requested.

Abstract The flatness target curve is important in the flatness control theory. The accuracy of flatness target curve is an important factor to determine the load of flatness control means and flatness quality. Aiming at the defect that crown of each pass after rolling cannot be controlled quantitatively in the traditional target curve formulation of cold rolling, a new method considering the target crown was proposed. Specifically, the target crown of each pass can be set by combining the total proportional crown change in hot rolling field to each pass and the instability discrimination model in cold rolling field. the total proportional crown change of incoming material and finished product is allocated to each pass, and the instability discrimination model is applied to ensure the stability of the plate. The purpose of new method is to control of the crown of each pass quantitatively, so that the flatness and thickness of plate can meet the production requirements. Taking SUNDWIG 20-high mill and typical rolling products as an example, the simulation results show that, on the basis of ensuring the flatness and obtaining the minimum available crown after rolling, the model can make the flatness and crown meet the production requirements at the same time and control the crown of each pass after rolling quantitatively by setting the target crown of each pass.

In the whole life cycle of production process, the stability of production manufacturing system is an important production factor. However, there were a few researches about the system stability in the past years. In this paper, for the stability of production manufacturing system, a new method is proposed based on Petri-net and analytic hierarchy process. In the proposed method, the reachability of manufacturing system is judged by using Petri-net, and the system stability is calculated by the successful probability of the key production nodes. Finally, evaluation steps of the new method are given, and the new evaluation method is applied in case study.

Community detection in complex network analysis is a quite challenging problem spanning many applications in various disciplines such as biology, physics and social network. A large number of methods have been developed for this problem, among which the label propagation algorithm (LPA) has attracted much attention because of its advantages of nearly-linear running time and easy implementation. Nevertheless, the random updating order and tie-breaking strategy in LPA make the algorithm unstable and may even lead to the formation of a monster community. In this paper, an improved LPA called LPA-INTIM is proposed for solving the community detection problem. Firstly, an intimacy matrix is constructed using local topology information for measuring the intimacy between nodes. And then, the node importance is calculated to ensure that nodes are updated in a specific order. Finally, the label influence is evaluated for updating node label during the label propagation process. In addition, we introduce a novel tightness function to improve the stability of the proposed algorithm. By the comparison with the methods presented in the literatures, experimental results on real-world and synthetic networks show the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

Pedestrian network information plays an important role in pedestrian location based service (LBS), and its completeness determines the quality of a pedestrian LBS. This study used volunteered data and BaiduMap to research how to extract pedestrian network information on the basis of pedestrian GPS trajectories. The method extracts human road information by three steps: cleaning track data, extracting the road network, and detecting and analysing the recognised pedestrian road facilities. Once the road network information is extracted, the information regarding road facilities can be obtained, e.g., pedestrian crossings, overpasses, and underground passages. This paper describes a new method for incrementally updating electronic maps.
