Background: Small fiber neuropathy (SFN) is a challenging subtype of peripheral neuropathies. Once the diagnosis has been established, there is an uncertainty how SFN may progress, whether larger fibers will become involved over time, whether quality of life may be compromised, or whether repeated diagnostic workup in patients with unknown underlying cause may increase the yield of treatable causes of SFN. Methods: We evaluated 16 patients with documented long-time course of idiopathic SFN. Results: Clinical and electrophysiological course remained stable in 75% of the patients, while 25% SFN-patients developed large fiber neuropathies. Conclusions: Our data suggest that SFN represents a benign disease course in the majority of patients without severely limiting the quality of life.

: Epilepsy is a devastating neurological disorder that affects nearly 70 million people worldwide. Epilepsy causes uncontrollable, unprovoked and unpredictable seizures that reduces the quality of life of those afflicted, with 1-9 epileptic patient deaths per 1000 patient occurring annually due to sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). Predicting the onset of seizures and managing them may help patients from harming themselves and may improve their well-being. For a long time, electroencephalography (EEG) devices have been the mainstay for seizure detection and monitoring. This systematic review aimed to elucidate and critically evaluate the latest advancements of medical devices, besides EEG, that have been proposed for the management and prediction of epileptic seizures. A literature search was performed on three databases; PubMed, Scopus and EMBASE. Following title/abstract screening by two independent reviewers, 27 articles were selected for critical analysis in this review. These articles revealed ambulatory, non-invasive and wearable medical devices such as the in-ear EEG devices, the accelerometer-based devices and the subcutaneous implanted EEG devices might be more acceptable than traditional EEG systems. In addition, extracerebral signal-based devices may be more efficient than EEG-based systems, especially when combined with an intervention trigger. Although further studies may still be required to improve and validate these proposed systems before commercialization, these findings may give hope to epileptic patients, particularly those with refractory epilepsy, to predict and manage their seizures. The use of medical devices for epilepsy may improve patients' independence and quality of life and possibly prevent sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP).

The article discusses the principles of social justice in time and space. The emphasis is on transforming the understanding of social justice in Russia’s social policy. Currently, the principle of social justice is implemented by the state in programs for the preservation and development of human capital. The national project «Human Capital» is focused on improving the level and quality of life of citizens, the accessibility of material and social capital, creating opportunities for self-realization and disclosing the talent of each person, and developing a system of social elevators. The authors analyze the change in perception of social justice in Russia for a long time. It is noted that at the beginning of the Soviet period the concept of «social justice» was practically not used. The term «justice» appeared in the Great Soviet Encyclopedia only in 1953, which is currently one of the most popular in public policy. Combining the economy with politics, social policy determines the direction of the main political forces and trends in the Russian Federation.

Abstract Background: Musculoskeletal complaints are discomforts to the pain experienced by someone that is triggered by a body that receives statistics, or performs activities in a less ergonomic position repeatedly for a long time. One result of musculoskeletal is a decrease in quality of life. Efforts that can be made to improve the quality of life with musculoskeletal complaints are a combination of low-impact aerobics with routine stretching exercises. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Aerobic Low Impact with Stretching Exercise on the Quality of Life of Mothers with Musculoskeletal Complaints in Ngegot Selokaton Gondangrejo Karanganyar Hamlet. Method: The design of this study was a pretest-posttest experimental design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Quality of life complaints data was taken using the WHOQOL-BREF instrument. Results: The results of research through the Wilcoxon statistical test and paired t-test on the domain of quality of life obtained the same results, namely p value = 0.001. Conclusion: The combination of low impact aerobics with stretching exercises is effective to improve the quality of life of mothers with musculoskeletal complaints about Ngegot Selokaton village. Gondangrejo Karanganyar sees from 4 domains of quality of life on the WHOQOL-BREF instrument (health, psychological, social, social, and social)   Keywords: Low impact aerobics, stretching exercises, quality of life

Aim. To find out the problems in children health in long-time postoperative period after cardiosurgery using the comprehensive method for creating rehabilitation program.Methods. A prospective investigation of group of children was done before (n = 88) and in a year (n = 115), in 2 years (n = 90) and in 3 years (n = 58) after the surgical correction of congenital heart defects on the base of Kuzbass cardiological center. The anamnesis, clinical and hemodynamic aspects were studied as well as the postoperative period, residual problems after the correction, social status of the family and the comprehensive assessment was done in the both groups.Results. Before the correction the most part of children had low and very low levels of physical functioning, but there was a positive dynamic right after the surgery: the most part of children had high and middle levels (13% and 44% in a year), while the amount of children with low and very low data were reduced. Nevertheless, in 3 years after the surgery the amount of children with low and very low data was increased while the hemodynamic became better. Such tendency was mentioned with all aspects of the health.Conclusion. Despite of hemodynamic normalization the quality of life with all aspects still suffers. It predicts dangers in development and quality of life in general.
