The genus Nagustoides Miller, 1954 is recorded for the first time from China. Nagustoides lii is described as new to science. A key to the species of genus is provided. The diagnostic characters of the genus Nagustoides are revised. The abnormal venation of left fore wing of a female is noted. The type specimens are preserved in the Entomological Museum of China Agricultural University, Beijing.

A new species of water scavenger beetle, Laccobius (Glyptolaccobius) yinziweii sp. nov. is described from Yunnan, China. Diagnostic characters are illustrated. Laccobius (Cyclolaccobius) nitidus Gentili, 1984 is reported from Guizhou, Laccobius (Microlaccobius) hammondi Gentili, 1984 from Hubei, and Laccobius (s. str.) inopinus Gentili, 1980 from Guizhou for the first time. Additionally, an identification key to Laccobius (Glyptolaccobius) of the world is updated.

The Anthaxia (Anthaxia) midas Kiesenwetter, 1857 species-group is defined and revised. A new species from Turkey, A. (A.) cebecii sp. nov., is described and compared to its most similar species. A. midas oberthuri Schaefer, 1938 is elevated to the rank of species, and a lectotype is designated. A. (A.) spathuligera Obenberger, 1924 and A. (A.) midas muelleri Obenberger, 1925 are reconfirmed synonyms of A. midas Kiesenwetter, 1857.All species of the new species-group are illustrated, including the hitherto unknown male of A. (A.) patsyae Baiocchi, 2008, all type specimens and original data labels. In addition to diagnostic characters, informations on the distribution, biology and taxonomic position of each species are also presented, together with a short definition of the new species-group, and a key to its species.

The genus Ludioctenus Fairmaire, 1893 hitherto included only L. cyprius (Baudi di Selve, 1871) from the eastern Mediterranean and L. pakistanicus Schimmel & Tarnawski, 2012 from Pakistan. Here, we describe L. afghanicus sp. nov. from the Nuristan Province in eastern Afghanistan. The distribution and morphological diversity of Ludioctenus is discussed, main diagnostic characters for all species are figured, and an identification key to the species of this genus is provided. Female pregenital segments and genitalia are figured for the first time for Ludioctenus, and the systematic position of this genus and its relatives is discussed.

Papagona Ball, 1935 was originally described based on two species from the USA (Arizona). Both species of Papagona (P. papoosa Ball, 1935, type species of genus, and P. succinea Ball, 1935) are redescribed herein based on type specimens, including their previously unknown internal male genitalia. A new species from Brazil (Roraima) is described herein including the male and female terminalia. A taxonomic key to all included species is provided and additional diagnostic characters for this genus are proposed.

The leafhopper genus Plumosa was erected by Sohi (1977). It belongs to the tribe Erythroneurini of Typhlocybinae with Plumosa emarginata Sohi, 1977 from India as its type species. Until now, there have been no further reports on this genus. Here the genus is reported for the first time from China and a new Chinese species is described and illustrated. The type specimens are deposited to the collection of the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, Guizhou (IEGU) and Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS).

We review and summarize the present knowledge of the Neotropical genus Euthycerina Malloch, 1933. Habitus and male terminalia are described and figured in detail for the first time. Euthycerina uachi sp. nov. is described, based on two males and four females from two locations in the province of Valdivia, Chile. An illustrated key is given for the three described species of Euthycerina, together with maps, phenology plots, and a summary of diagnostic characters that will enable researchers to confidently identify all species of Euthycerina.

A new species of Darwin wasp of the genus Dicamptus Szépligeti (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Ophioninae), D. curvus Pham, Matsumoto & Shimizu sp. nov., is described on the basis of type specimen from Lai Chau Province, northwest Vietnam. The new species probably belongs to the giganteus species group and is easily distinguishable from the other species of the group by the smaller indices of fore wing AI and CI as well as the form of sclerites. Two species, D. cantoni Gauld & Mitchell and D. reticulatus (Cameron), are recorded for the first time from Vietnam; and additional distribution records for D. nigropictus (Matsumura) in Vietnam are provided. Through the present study, a total of four Dicamptus species have been recognized in Vietnam and illustrated.

We report a new species of Spermophilus ( Rodentia: Sciuridae), here designated as S. torosensis sp. nov., distributed in the Taurus Mountains in southern Anatolia, Turkey. A total of 161 specimens of the genus Spermophilus from Turkey and Iran were analyzed for their morphological, morphometric, and karyological characteristics. Uni- and multi-variate statistical analyses of morphologic data for 95 adult specimens yielded 4 distinct groups. Taxonomic evaluations classified the specimens into 4 species Spermophilus citellus, S. xanthopymnus, S. fulvus and S. torosensis sp. nov. Morphometrics, coat coloration, a brush-shaped tail, and a NFa value of 72 are diagnostic characters that distinguish S. torosensis sp. nov. from the other species. In Turkey, S. torosensis sp. nov. was found in 6 locations. The karyotype of S. fulvus also is described for the first time as 2n= 36, NFa= 70 and NFa= 66; new karyotypic data is reported for S. xanthoprymnus from Iran and Turkey.

The subgenus Mimencaustes Heller is recorded from mainland China for the first time. One new species, Micrencaustes (Mimencaustes) acridentata sp. nov., is described in this paper. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China and the Museum of Hebei University, Baoding, China.

The description of a new species of the genus Chrysochromulina, C. chiton, includes for the first time some evidence from the electron microscopy of sections in addition to the techniques previously used. Important diagnostic characters are the exceptionally large scales, which are shown to be of two kinds, the larger being saucer-shaped, and the smaller plate-like with a narrow rim flexed towards the upper surface; the structure and arrangement of the two types of scale on the body are described. Anatomical facts are given for the first time for the internal structure of the haptonema; in this species this organ consists of three concentric membranes surrounding a ring of seven fibres or tubes, the centre of the haptonema being hollow; this combination of characters distinguishes the organ fundamentally from a flagellum. Microanatomical facts are also given for the following major cell organs: the nucleus, the chromatophores including the pyrenoids, mitochondria, putative golgi material, muciferous bodies, the flagellar bases (preliminary observations only). Other distinguishable cytoplasmic components include the surface membrane, unsaturated fat bodies, vesicles of various kinds and granular protoplasm in the interstices.
