This paper presents the description of Ennearthron victori sp. nov. In contrast to all known species of this genus, E. victori is the first one occurring in the Southern Hemisphere (Neotropical Region, Brazil, Minas Gerais and São Paulo States) and, the only one in which males lack a fovea on the first ventrite.

Three New Species

New data about slender orb-weaving species of the cosmopolitan genus Tetragnatha are presented. Tetragnatha chauliodus (Thorell, 1890) and Tetragnatha tenuissima O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1889 are redescribed, including one synonymy for each species and the first record of the first species to the Neotropical region. Also, three new species are herein described, all based on males and females. Tetragnatha megalocera new species is recorded exclusively from Brazil (Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo states), while Tetragnatha renatoi new species is recorded from Venezuela, Argentina (Misiones) and Brazil (Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Santa Catarina and São Paulo states). Finally, Tetragnatha chiyokoae new species is described from Yunnan province (China) and Okinawa (Japan), with an additional record for Taiwan. Furthermore, Tetragnatha exilima (Mello-Leitão, 1943), Tetragnatha filigastra Mello-Leitão, 1943 and Tetragnatha lactescens (Mello-Leitão, 1947) are nomina dubia.

The genus Coelinius (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Alysiinae) is reported for the first time from Brazil and the Neotropical region. The genus occurs in southeastern Brazil, in the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Four new species of Coelinius are described and illustrated: C. canastra sp. nov, C. itamonte sp. nov., C. kali sp. nov. and C. lux sp. nov.

Aimed at extending the incipient knowledge of Dicranocentrus in Brazil, in this study we describe and illustrate the morphology and chaetotaxy of four new species from Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and São Paulo States and also two new records of D. heloisae for Minas Gerais and São Paulo States. The new species D. magnus sp.n., D. albicephalus sp.n. and D. marimutti sp.n. belong to the gracilis-group and D. pikachu sp.n. to the marias-group. A map with their distribution in Brazil and a table with Neotropical species’ main characteristics are also provided. The species herein reported represent the first record of Dicranocentrus for São Paulo State.

Ameerega flavopicta is a dart-poison frog (Dendrobatidae) widely distributed throughout rocky habitats in the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, Goiás, Tocanthins, Pará, and Maranhão. Here we repoert for the first record of a dendrobatid frog in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, based on individuals of A. flavopicta found in the Municipality of Pedregulho, and also describe the advertisement calls of a male from this population. A taxonomic discussion is provided.

Leptodactylus sertanejo is a mid-sized frog that inhabits areas of the Cerrado Biome, in natural and artificial grassland areas, in the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Bahia, Goiás and Tocantins, Brazil. Herein, we provide the first species record for the state of Maranhão, northeastern Brazil, expanding the known distribution of L. sertanejo ca. 420 km northeast from the Parque Estadual do Jalapão, Tocantins state.

A New Species

In this paper a new species of Cryptachaea Archer, 1946 based on males and females is described from Brazilian caves: Cryptachaea pilar Santanna & Rodrigues, new species from the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo. The females of Cryptachaea parana (Levi, 1963) and C. schneirlai (Levi, 1959) are described and illustrated for the first time. Cryptachaea uviana (Levi, 1963) is synonymized with C. migrans (Keyserling, 1884). The species Cryptachaea alacris (Keyserling, 1884), C. benivia Rodrigues & Poeta, 2015, C. parana (Levi, 1963) and C. schneirlai (Levi, 1959) are recorded for the first from Brazil; and C. migrans for the first time from Bolivia. Additionally, new records from Brazilian caves are provided for Cryptachaea parana, from the states of Tocantins, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo; C. schneirlai and C. alacris from the state of Pará; C. dea (Buckup & Marques, 2006) and C. rioensis (Levi, 1963) from Pará and Minas Gerais, C. jequirituba (Levi, 1963) from Minas Gerais and C. benivia from São Paulo.

Corotoca Schiødte, 1853 is a Neotropical genus of termitophiles beetles, with five species, and its description marks the first record of insects associated with termites. A new species, Corotoca fontesi sp. nov., from Brazil, is described and illustrated, and a taxonomical problem regarding to the identification and nomenclatural status of two species, Corotoca phylo Schiødte, 1853 and Corotoca seeversi Fontes, 1977, is solved. Therefore, Corotoca seeversi is proposed as a new junior synonym of C. phylo, and the material identified as C. phylo housed in the Museum of Zoology of the University of São Paulo, Brazil (MZUSP) is recognized as a new species, Corotoca fontesi sp. nov. New morphological and sexual dimorphism data in the species, and solution of some messy informations about the genus present in the literature are also present.

Twenty-seven new species of the genus Neoxyphinus are described, all from Brazil, raising the total number of species of the genus to 48. This is the first record of the subfamily Simognathinae for the Brazilian coast. Two new species are described, Acaromantis vespucioi sp. nov. and Simognathus euphractus sp. nov. The description of Simognathus fuscus Viets, 1936 is extended with the inclusion of juveniles description.

Six new species of the genus Desmopachria Babington, 1841 are described and illustrated from Brazil: D. anauine sp. nov., D. carranca sp. nov., D. francischettii sp. nov., D. nigrasphera sp. nov., D. nigricoxa sp. nov. and D. yanomami sp. nov. Desmopachria varians is redescribed and illustrated from syntypes photos and material identified by Dr. Frank Young.
