Illustrated descriptions and data on host plants and distribution for 21 species of Oncopsis of Russia and adjacent countries are given, and O. abdykulovi sp. n. from Central Asia is described. Conspecificity of O. planiscuta from East Siberia and Sakhalin,of O. tristis from Moscow Area, Alati Mts., and Sakhalin, and of O. burjatica from East Siberia and Sakhalin is corroborated by male calling signal analysis.

In Russia, Kazakhstan, and Central Asia the Neoaliturus fenestratus species group includes eight species. Illustrated descriptions, oscillograms of male calling signals, and data on host plants and distribution for all species are given. One new species from European Russia and two new species from Kazakhstan and Central Asia are described, and the synonymy N. fenestratus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1834) = N. lituratus Dubovskiy, 1966, syn. n. is established. Considerations concerning possible modes of diversification of species of this group are provided.

Study of isolated leaf compressions from Prisayan Formation outcrops on the right side of the Irkutsk reservoir resulted in identification of a new species: Marskea cuspidata sp. nov. The species has a strong morphological affinity with M. heeriana N. Nosova et Kiritchkova and T. ketovae Teslenko. The epidermis original texture differs well the Marskea cuspidata sp. nov. from other representatives of the genus Marskea which are known from the Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous sediments of Europe, Central Asia and Siberia.

Chinese species of the genus Gibberifera Obraztsov are reviewed. G. tetracornata sp. nov. is described as new to science with illustrations of adult and genitalia. Other species are summarized with detailed references cited and information about host-plants and distribution. A key to Chinese species of Gibberifera based on characters of male genitalia is given.

A new species of tree cricket, Neoxabea mexicanasp. nov., is described from northeast Mexico. Although it has morphological similarities to two other species found in Mexico, there are distinguishing characters, such as a well-developed tubercle on the pedicel, black markings on the maxillary palpi, one of the two pairs of spots on the female wings positioned at the base of the wings, stridulatory teeth count, and the pulse rate of the male calling song. The calling song description and pre-singing stuttering frequencies are provided. Character comparisons that rule out other species in the genus are presented. The common name given to this new species is Mexican tree cricket. Sound recordings and video are available online. We also make some clarification of the status of Neoxabea formosa (Walker, 1869), described as Oecanthus formosus, and present a key of Neoxabea in North and Central America.

The genus Pseudasphondylia (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae: Asphondyliini: Asphondyliina) comprises ten Palearctic, Oriental and Australian species associated with various hosts belonging to at least ten plant families. A new species, Pseudasphondyliatominagai Elsayed & Tokuda n. sp., that induces flower bud galls on Eleutherococcusspinosus (L.f.) S.Y.Hu (Araliaceae) is described. This species is considered to alternate between host plants seasonally. A key to males of known Pseudasphondylia species is provided.

The genus Saga is a genus of generally large predatory bush-cricket species. It includes 13 taxa in the Palaearctic region. In this research, eight species belonging to Saga (Tettigoniidae, Saginae) were sampled during field studies in different regions of Anatolia of Turkey between 2010 and 2018 (except one specimen). The bioacoustic parameters of these species recorded during the field or in laboratory conditions and the male calling song descriptions, as well as the oscillographic illustrations and distribution maps are given. A new population of Saga found from the South-Eastern Taurus (Hakkari province), which is affiliated to a new species and shows similarity to S. ephippigera, along with the morphological and bioacoustical descriptions of Saga hakkarica sp. n. Şirin & Taylan from Turkey, are also given. The relationships between the new species and the closest taxa are discussed using morphological and bioacoustical characters. The structural investigations of the male calling songs reveal three different bioacoustic groups affiliated to eight Anatolian Saga species; as (i) Ephippigera group (S. syriaca + (S. ephippigera + Saga hakkarica), (ii) Natoliae group (S. natoliae + (S. beieri + (S. longicaudata + S. puella) and (iii) S. cappadocica.

Nameriophyes sapidae Xue & Zhang (Acari: Eriophyidae) was found on transplanted nikau palms, Rhopalostylis sapida (H. Wendl. & Drude) in Auckland, New Zealand and described as a new species (Xue & Zhang 2008). Although R. sapida is a native plant species, it was not known if this mite species was indigenous or adventive because it was collected only from transplanted palms in unnatural gardens in Auckland. A survey was undertaken of R. sapida and the Kermadec Island palm, Rhopalostylis baueri (Hook. f.) Wendl. & Drude in the northern part of the North Island and Chatham Island.

A new clearwing moth species, Toleria vietnamica sp. nov. from Ba Bể National Park, Bẳc Kan Province, North Vietnam is described and illustrated. An annotated catalogue of Asian members of the tribe Cissuvorini is added to this paper. The catalogue contains the following information: the references to the original descriptions, information on name-bearing types, complete bibliographies of the presented taxa, distribution and available data on host plants. The type series of the new species is deposited in the collection of National Museum of Nature and Science, Tsukuba (formerly Natural Science Museum Tokyo).

The adult female of the scale insect Stictococcus vayssierei Richard is described and illustrated. The species feeds on the root system of cassava (Manihot esculenta) (Euphorbiaceae) in Equatorial Africa, affecting tuber formation of the plant. Although damage has been reported only recently, the species has probably remained unnoticed because of its subterranean habit. The distribution and host plants of this species are listed and the segmentation of the adult female of Stictococcus is discussed to help describe the characters in detail when specimens are prepared on microscope slides. Six other species of Stictococcus are described or discussed: S. formicarius Newstead, S. intermedius Newstead, S. pujoli Richard, S. sjostedti Cockerell & Cockerell, S. subterreus Williams, Matile-Ferrero & Miller sp. n., and S. formicarius var. tuberculata Laing which is here raised to specific rank as S. tuberculatus Laing.
