After more than a century, the genus Lepthercus Purcell, 1902 is revised. Lepthercus dregei Purcell, 1902 and L. rattrayi Hewitt, 1917 are redescribed; with the female of L. dregei described for the first time. Nine new species of Lepthercus are described. A phylogenetic analysis with morphological characters using implied weights and parsimony as optimality criteria, suggests the separation of the genus in two clades. The first clade is formed by L. dippenaarae sp. nov., L. engelbrechti sp. nov., L. haddadi sp. nov., L. rattrayi Hewitt, 1917 and L. sofiae sp. nov., here denominated “Group haddadi”. The species L. confusus sp. nov., Lepthercus dregei Purcell, 1902, Lepthercus filmeri sp. nov., Lepthercus kwazuluensis sp. nov., Lepthercus lawrencei sp. nov. and Lepthercus mandelai sp. nov., form the second clade, here denominated “Group dregei”. The “Group haddadi” is characterized by males with a curved metatarsus I, and a swollen tibia I. The “Group dregei” is supported by the presence of small maxillary cuspules in males. A new diagnosis is provided for Lepthercus as well as an identification key for all species of the genus. New distribution maps for the genus in the country are also presented.

The dragon millipede genusDesmoxytess.l. is split into five genera, based on morphological characters and preliminary molecular phylogenetic analyses. Four species of Mycena possessing a colored lamellar are reported. Of these, Mycena entolomoides is described as new and is distinguished by an incarnate color of the whole lamellae, and M. citrinomarginata, M. purpureofusca, and M. strobilinoidea are recorded for the first time in China. A complete description, drawings and photographs of the morphological characters of M. entolomoides sp. nov. are accompanied by comparisons with closely related taxa. The three species newly recorded in China are considered in agreement with those species in Europe and North America. Phylogenetic analysis based on ITS sequences showed that M. entolomoides sp. nov. forms a monophyletic clade, well supported by maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference.

The large New Worldgenus Messatoporus Cushman is diagnosed, redefined, described, and its species revised. A total of 89 valid species are recognized, of which 65 are described as new. All previously known species are redescribed and illustrated. The following synonyms are proposed: M. jocosus (Provancher) and M. rufiventris Cushman under M. discoidalis (Cresson), syn. nov. and M. tricolor (Szépligeti) under M. variegatus (Szépligeti) syn. nov. As well, a lectotype is designated for M. townesi Alayo and Tzankov, and Messatoporus nigrispina (Cameron) is transferred to Prosthoporus Porter, comb. nov.. A key to species based on both sexes is also presented, and new distribution records and distribution maps are provided. The validity and relationships of the genus are investigated cladistically using 162 morphological characters for 27 species of Messatoporus and 105 outgroup taxa. Tree search was conducted using TNT under implied weighting, with values of 1–6 for the concavity constant (K). All analyses recovered Messatoporus as a monophyletic group, supported by 7–11 synapomorphies. The results also support the monophyly of the six studied genera of Osprynchotina, in a clade including also Dotocryptus Brèthes. Messatoporus is diagnosed by the combination of the following features: apicolateral corners of clypeus projected; mandible long and tapered, ventral tooth much shorter than dorsal one or indistinct; transverse sulcus at base of propodeum long and shallow; anterior margin of propodeum concave; posterior area of propodeum almost always transversely wrinkled; first metasomal spiracle placed approximately on midlength; median dorsal carina of first metasomal segment absent; ovipositor basally cylindrical, apically depressed, with ventral valve enclosing completely dorsal valve as a sheath. A second analysis including all species of the genus was performed SANTOS & AGUIAR 4 · Zootaxa 3634 (1) © 2013 Magnolia Press to evaluate the phylogeny at the genus level. The character set for that analysis included 104 characters considered of phylogenetic importance within the genus, and used the same tree searching protocol as the first one. A distinct and gradual transition is detected, from species more similar to the remaining Osprynchotina to a significantly different morphotype with several convergences with the Gabuniina. These convergences are interpreted as adaptations to host location and substrate perforation, and may be related to use of more deeply concealed hosts.

Neurolarthra Fischer, 1976, is a small braconid genus with two described species. The genus is revised using morphological characters and a phylogenetic analysis of COI sequence data; GenBank accession numbers of seven COI sequences from two species are included. A new species from Thailand is described and illustrated: N. karensharkeyae Yao n. sp. Neurolarthra Fischer and N. procera are reported for the first time from Thailand. A key to species of the genus Neurolarthra is presented.

The mirid tribe Saturniomirini is redescribed, based on material from Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. One new genus and ten new species of Saturniomirini are described: Kallosmiris gen. n., Kallosmiris avena sp. n. , Kallosmiris geminus sp. n., Kallosmiris solis sp. n., Cheesmaniella australiensis sp. n., Garainamiris ganymedis sp. n., Trilaccus forrestae sp. n., Trilaccus luteoscutellatus sp. n., Trilaccus mica sp. n., Trilaccus mimeticus sp. n. and Trilaccus stewartensis sp. n., Cheesmaniella (Cheesmaniella australiensis sp. n.) and Garainamiris (Garainamiris ganymedis sp. n.) are recorded from Australia for the first time. All existing Saturniomirini genera, including their type species and previously described species are redescribed as follows: Cheesmaniella Carvalho, 1984, Garainamiris Carvalho, 1981, Imogen Kirkaldy, 1905, Saturniomiris Kirkaldy, 1902, Synthlipsis Kirkaldy, 1908 and Trilaccus Horváth, 1902. Four previously described species (Garainamiris antennatus Carvalho, 1981, Synthlipsis ternatensis (Distant, 1904), Trilaccus marginatus (Distant, 1904) and Trilaccus perversus (Reuter, 1905)) were not examined directly but photographs of types were available for observation. A dichotomous key to Saturniomirini taxa, colour habitus photographs, scanning electron micrographs, illustrations of male genitalia and distribution maps are provided. A phylogenetic analysis of morphological data was conducted, resulting in the Saturniomirini and all included genera recovered as monophyletic taxa.

The genus Astichus Förster (Eulophidae: Entiinae) is recorded for the first time from sub-Saharan Africa and four newspecies are described from South Africa: A. micans n. sp., A. silvani n. sp., A. gracilis n. sp. and A. naiadis n. sp. .Astichusspecies are known as parasitoids of Ciidae (Coleoptera) tunnelling and living in bracket fungi. The South African speciesemerged together with Ciidae from a variety of bracket fungi from many localities in the region. They are easily separatedfrom known Astichus species from other regions in the world by their distinctive colour and patterning. A key to the SouthAfrican Astichus species, distribution maps, and notes on biology are included, as well as identifications of Ciidae and bracket fungus specimens encountered in the study.

Abstract Rhinomirini (Insecta: Heteroptera: Miridae: Cylapinae) is a heterogeneous tribe of uncertain systematic position. We provide a phylogenetic analysis of this tribe based on morphological characters and molecular markers. Monophyly of the tribe was not supported by our findings. The Rhinocylapus complex and Rhinomiriella complex are transferred to Fulviini. Rhinomirini are restricted to the Rhinomiris complex. The record of Rhinomirini in Australia is considered dubious. The genera Punctifulvius and Yamatofulvus are transferred to the Rhinocylapus complex. The Rhinocylapus complex is recorded from Australia for the first time, with four new species: Mycetocylapus alexeyi sp. nov., Punctifulvius austellus sp. nov., Punctifulvius aquilonius sp. nov. and Rhinocylapoides valentinae sp. nov. The Philippine species Mycetocylapus major is synonymized with Mycetocylapus minor. The Australian species Rhinomiriella tuberculata is redescribed, and females of this species are described for the first time. Rhinomiriella aidani sp. nov. is described as new to science. The female genitalia of Proamblia elongata, Rhinocylapidius velocipidoides and Rhinomiris conspersus and the male genitalia of Rhinomiris conspersus and Rhinomiridius aethiopicus are illustrated and discussed. Sexual dimorphism in the Rhinocylapus complex and wing modifications in Cylapinae are discussed.

Agaricus is a genus of saprophytic fungi in the Basidiomycota. As part of ongoing studies on the genus Agaricus in Pakistan, we here describe and discuss two new species, A. pakistanicus sp. nov. and A. sparsisquamosus sp. nov. Morphological characters and phylogenetic analysis of ITS sequences were used to clarify their taxonomic affinities. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that both species belong to A. sect. Brunneopicti. This palaeotropical section, which has been recently reconstructed, is reported in Pakistan for the first time. Interestingly, these two new species exhibit a reddish or brown discoloration. With these two new species, the distribution of this section, which was previously restricted to tropical and subtropical humid regions, now extends to semi-arid and desert climate regions and the total number of species in the section increases to 20, including eight unnamed species.

A taxonomic revision and phylogenetic analysis of the spider genus Epicratinus Jocqué & Baert, 2005 is presented. The phylogenetic analysis is based on a data set including 16 Epicratinus species plus 9 outgroups representing by five related zodariid gen­era and one of them considered most basal as the root. These taxa were scored for 49 morphological characters. Parsimony was used as the op­timality criterion and a sensitivity analysis was performed using different character weighting concavities. Five unambiguous synapomorphies support the monophyly of Epicratinus. Some internal clades within the genus are well-supported and their relationships are discussed. Epicratinus includes 16 species, all with males and females. A species identification key and distribution maps are provided for all. New morphological data are also pre­sented for five previously described species. All 16 species occur only in the New World. The following species are transferred to Epicratinus: E. perfidus (Jocqué & Baert), comb. nov. from Tenedos; Epicratinus perfidus Jocqué & Baert comb. nov. and newly synonymized with E. santacruz Grismado & Izquierdo and this last species is treated as the junior synonym. Epicratinus petropolitanus (Mello-Leitão) has the male described for the first time. The following 11 species are newly described as new: E. zangief sp. nov.; E. pegasus sp. nov.; E. pikachu sp. nov.; E. stitch sp. nov.; E. ehonda sp. nov.; E. anakin sp. nov.; E. vader sp. nov.; E. omegarugal sp. nov.; E. zelda sp. nov.; E. dookan sp. nov. and E. mauru sp. nov., all from Brazil.
