Microperla retroloba (Wu, 1937) is a poorly described species from Gansu Province of China and the types of which were apparently lost. Herein, a neotype of M. retroloba is designated based on new material from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region adjacent to Gansu Province. Male, female, larva and egg morphology of M. retroloba are described, illustrated and compared with all congeners.

Spiders of the genus Agroeca Westring, 1861 occurring in China were surveyed. Five species were previously known from the country, and eight species are reported for the first time, of which five are described as new: A. batangensis sp. n. (♂) from Chongqing City, A. lata sp. n. (♂ ♀) from the Yunnan Province, A. mainlingensis sp. n. (♂ ♀) from the Xizang Autonomous Region, A. nigra sp. n. (♂) from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and A. tumida sp. n. (♂) from the Gansu Province. The three described species recorded from China for the first time are A. brunnea (Blackwall, 1833) and A. dentigera Kulczyński, 1913 from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and A. coreana Namkung, 1989 from the Shaanxi Province. Two species previously described from southern Xinjiang, A. flavens O. P.-Cambridge, 1885 and A. debilis O. P.-Cambridge, 1885, probably do not belong to Agroeca.

The genus Lysiteles was established by Simon (1895) for the type species Lysiteles catulus from India. At present, it includes 56 species (Platnick 2011) that are mainly found in southern and eastern Asia (Ono 1988). Lysiteles spiders are small thomisids with body length 2.0–4.5 mm, therefore, it is difficult to collect them in the field. Almost 50% of the known species are described from single sex (Tang et al. 2008). A total of 41 species have been described from China, among them 18 species are single sex (Li & Wang 2011; Song & Zhu 1997). Xysticus minimus was described firstly by Schenkel (1953) for a male specimen from southeast of Gansu Province, China. Then Ono (1979) transferred it to the genus Lysiteles. Song and Wang (1991) described a new species named Lysiteles xianensis, but Song (1995) synonymized it with Lysiteles minimus (Schenkel 1953). While studying the Lysiteles specimens collected from Liupan Mountains, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, we found pairs of male and female Lysiteles specimens in the same locality. We identified the male as L. minimus. The female specimens have habitus and markings very similar to the male of L. minimus, and the characters of epigynum conform to the genus Lysiteles. We therefore identified it as the female of L. minimus, and describe it here.

Pima tristriatasp. nov. is described as new to science based on specimens collected from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, and P. boisduvaliella (Guenée, 1845) is also treated here for comparison. DNA barcodes of the two species are provided, together with a neighbor-joining tree for species delimitation. A key to the Holarctic species and a distribution map of the Chinese species are presented.

Three species of the family Perlodidae are newly reported or confirmed for China, Isoperla asiatica Raušer from Arxan, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Isoperla eximia Zapekina-Dulkeit from Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province, and Mesoperlina capnoptera (McLachlan, 1886) from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Based on new material, additional taxonomic notes and images of another perlodid stonefly, Rauserodes epiproctalis (Zwick, 1997) is provided.
