<p>Seasonality is one of the significant features in tourism market. This study employs the X-13 ARIMA-SEATS method to tourism market in Taiwan. Tourists who had come to Taiwan from 1981 to 2016 mainly came from Asia, followed by the Americas and Europe. In Asian area, tourists from Mainland China account for the highest percentage, followed by Hong Kong and Japan, whose overall resources provide favourable conditions for industrial development. Rapid growth in the number of tourists coming to Taiwan gives rise to the issue of uniform distribution of tourists during the year, namely, tourism seasonality. The empirical results show that tourism seasonality of tourists coming to Taiwan is randomly changing. Analysis should be conducted concerning sustainable planning, environmental dynamic carrying capacity and sustainable development. The high tourism seasons are March, April, November and December. However, January, July and September every year are off-season in Taiwan’s tourism market, with gradual decreasing number of tourists compared with those in high-season months. The contribution of this research is the analysis of data from high-season and off-season months, The local transport routes and environmental facilities can be planned for the high-season months, in order to develop diversified tourism marketing and strategies, improve the utilisation of space, and enhance business performance. During off-season months, Stay at Home Economic may be developed through Internet or platform marketing to provide distance-free remote services. For the overall environment, The analysis between off-season and high-season months not only helps to generate economic development, but can provide a sustainable planning direction, and link environmental dynamic carrying capacity and sustainable development. </p>

The paper is devoted to the current issue of 2020 on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry in general, Azerbaijan in particular, and overcoming this crisis, taking into account the main aspects and goals of sustainable development. The primary purpose of the article is to form recommendations for compliance with the goals of sustainable development in the tourism industry of Azerbaijan with the levelling of events caused by the influence of COVID-19. A review of the scientific literature concluded that the issue of tourism marketing in crisis conditions is always complicated and multifaceted. The development of the tourism sector is a positive change for the host countries, which helps to solve problems in other areas of the economy. During the preparation of the material, a marketing survey of Azerbaijani citizens was conducted to study the potential impact of COVID-19 on the tourism industry. The analytical method of the article analyzes the goals of sustainable development, announced following the Resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on September 25, and which become most relevant in the context of 2020 and are a challenge for modern society and Azerbaijan in particular. As a result of this study, recommendations were made to restart the tourism sector in Azerbaijan, given compliance with and implementation of sustainable development goals. The results of this study can be useful for the governing institutions of Azerbaijan and other countries in which the tourism industry has developed dynamically and rapidly over the past few years.

In sustainable development, tourism plays a vital role, with a high contribution in Romania's economic recovery and relaunch. Raising the tourism product of the values enshrined in the corresponding standards and preferences of foreign tourists involves initiating and promoting actions that include, on one hand, workflows education and training of a mentality appropriate current type of development, and on the other hand , emphasizing sustainable development in regions of tourist’s reception. Based on these considerations, this paper aims to determine how the tourism products must be designed from the point of view of marketing, to comply with the principles of sustainability. To this end we analyzed research on consumption of tourist’s services in Romania, made by INSOMAR, and an analysis of the Romanian tourism seen by strangers.

During the last three years, the research project: “Geosites, geoparks contribution to sustainable development” aiming at recording and designating geosites and potential geoparks, as a means to sustainable development, funded from the 3rd Community Support Framework (CSF) programme, is developing at the Institute of Geology and Mineral Exploration of Greece (IGME). The project, according to its objectives, is divided in the following five sub-projects: 1: Identification, characterization, evaluation of geosites 2: Compilation of a DataBase and a Geographic Information System (GIS) for the geosites, geotrails and potential geoparks in the country. 3: Planning of walking and motoring geotrails around the geosites, in combination with other attractions of biotic, archaeological and cultural interest. 4: Specifications of the geoparks’ studies and planning for interpretation, tourism, marketing, development, operation and management. Drafting of complete management proposals for selected areas, in view of their development into geoparks and of their participation in international networks. 5: Promotion of the project’s objectives and benefits in international, national level and the local community, businesses and institutions. Compilation of interpretative, marketing material for tourism purposes, and for the community awareness on geological heritage conservation. The whole project is based on the systematic inventory of the geosites and the compilation of a GISaided database for the geosites, geotrails and potential geoparks. The framework of the research materialization, the procedural steps, as well as the methodological approach for its accomplishment, will be presented in this paper, focussing mostly in the first sub-project methodology as Geosites registration is the base for the whole project. The geosites, geotrails, potential geoparks Registry compiled with this project will function as a source of information for various uses: national and international level public or private sector projects regarding planning and conservation of nature, education and tourism.
