The Evaluation of Affective Domain Learning Outcome in Students’ Basic Learning of Electrical Circuit in Vocational Education School

Bloom Taxonomy consists of three domains namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Successful learning activity on cognitive and psychomotor aspects needs to be supported by affective domain. This research aims evaluate affective domain in to basic Electric Circuit learning of students in Vocational Education School. This study employed survey research by observing students learning process in BEC subject. Research finding shows that students’ affective domain in BEC learning was categorized high. Recommendations for this research were: (1) in BEC learning, teacher needed to develop students’ affective domain, (2) headmaster as leadership instruction needs to guide teacher so that they will be able to develop students’ affective domain, and (3) headmaster must monitor teacher’s teaching activity.

The paper is devoted to the theoretical and experimental analysis of an electric circuit consisting of two elements that are described by fractional derivatives of different orders. These elements are designed and performed as RC ladders with properly selected values of resistances and capacitances. Different orders of differentiation lead to the state-space system model, in which each state variable has a different order of fractional derivative. Solutions for such models are presented for three cases of derivative operators: Classical (first-order differentiation), Caputo definition, and Conformable Fractional Derivative (CFD). Using theoretical models, the step responses of the fractional electrical circuit were computed and compared with the measurements of a real electrical system.

The module is one of the teaching material media that is intact and systematic. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching thematic modules based on the Qur'an and Hadith with the thematic package book on the 4th class religious character in SDN Janti 2 Tarik Sidoarjo. The type of research is experimental research with samples taken by class 4 A (experimental class with thematic learning module based on qur'an and hadith) and 4 B (control class with thematic package book). The data were obtained from the students' learning outcomes of the cognitive and affective aspects of my dream ideals by analyzing using SPSS program statistics. The result of cognitive domain using SPSS Independent Samples Test shows the significance of 0.000 <0,05 then Ho is rejected so it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of thematic teaching module based on qur'an and hadith with thematic package book to the result of fourth grade student learning at SDN Janti 2 Pull Sidoarjo. Likewise, the affective domain results show the percentage of 90% so it can be concluded to increase students' religious kararkter. Learning module has a high influence, seen from the cognitive domain learning results obtained by an average score of 80, while affective domain average value 4. For thematic package books have a lower effect because of the cognitive domain learning results obtained an average of 75,  while affective domains result in an average value of 3.

Paper-based microfluidic devices have the potential of being a low-cost platform for diagnostic devices. Electrical circuit analogy (ECA) model has been used to model the wicking process in paper-based microfluidic devices. However, material characteristics such as absorption capacity cannot be included in the previous ECA models. This paper proposes a new model to describe the wicking process with liquid absorption in a paper strip. We observed that the fluid continues to flow in a paper strip, even after the fluid reservoir has been removed. This phenomenon is caused by the ability of the paper to store liquid in its matrix. The model presented in this paper is derived from the analogy to the current response of an electric circuit with a capacitance. All coefficients in the model are fitted with data of capillary rise experiments and compared with direct measurement of the absorption capacity. The theoretical data of the model agrees well with experimental data and the conventional Washburn model. Considering liquid absorption capacity as a capacitance helps to explain the relationship between material characteristics and the wicking mechanism.

With an attempt to achieve high-density fine organic stripes for potential applications in solution-processable organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), we have performed slot-die coatings using a shim with slit channels in various shapes (rectangular-shaped narrow, rectangular-shaped wide, and reversely tapered channels) in the presence of narrow µ-tips. Based on hydraulic-electric circuit analogy, we have analyzed the fluid dynamics of an aqueous poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly (4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). It is observed that the coating speed can be increased and the stripe width can be reduced using a shim with rectangular-shaped wide slit channels. It is attributed that the hydraulic resistance is decreased and thus more fluid can reach a substrate through µ-tips. This behavior is consistent with the simulation result of the equivalent electrical circuit with a DC voltage source representing a pressure source. Using the shim with 150-µm-wide slit channels, we have successfully fabricated 200 PEDOT:PSS stripes within the effective coating width (150 mm) and 160 OLED stripes (34 stripes per inch) with the luminance of 325 cd/m2 at 5 V.

The article examines the case of integration of an intellectually gifted adolescent with autism spectrum disorder in a general education school. It provides results of the applied behavioral analysis aimed at developing general learning skills. The child, diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at early school age, encountered difficulties related to the inability to study effectively at school in spite of the clear evidence of intellectual giftedness (including such motivational and instrumental preconditions as high levels of cognitive interest, verbal and abstract reasoning, and educability). The article reflects on the risks and advantages of the developmental work with the “twice exceptional” adolescent following an individual behavioral plan. Based on the results of the study, the article outlines the possible ways of forming the learning behavior skills: learning activity-based, communicative and organizational. The article discusses the necessity of further support of the “twice exceptional” adolescent based on an integrated approach with regard to the special learning needs of the intellectually gifted adolescent.

The article discusses the problem of modernization of teachers’ training programs in the context of bringing them into line with the requirements of the professional standard of the teacher. The author distinguishes two basic tasks of professionalization of pedagogical programs aimed at achieving this goal: to strengthen the practical training of future teachers on the basis of the networking of educational institutions of general and higher education (school and university partnership), and to develop research competencies of future teachers, providing them the opportunity to carry out professional development (restructuring of their professional actions) on the basis of a mini-research embedded in professional practice and reflection of their bases. The author substantiates the basic positions of the activity approach in preparing teachers and shows the place of this approach in the context of modern practitioner-researcher and reflective teacher approaches. The article defines the basic requirements for the development of vocational education teachers’ training programs developed by the author on the basis of the activity approach in the context of tasks and professionalization of such programs, in accordance with the requirements of the professional standard of the teacher.

Cosmic rays modify current flow in the global atmospheric electrical circuit. Charging at horizontal layer cloud edges has been observed to be consistent with global circuit vertical current flow through the cloud, which can modify the properties of small and pure water droplets. Studies have been hampered by the absence of cloud edge observations, hence cloud base height information is investigated here. Cloud base height measured at the Lerwick Observatory, Shetland, UK, is analysed using threshold tests and spectral analysis. The cloud base height distributions for low cloud (cloud base less than 800 m) are found to vary with cosmic ray conditions. Further, 27 day and 1.68 year periodicities characteristic of cosmic ray variations are present, weakly, in the cloud base height data of stratiform clouds, when such periodicities are present in neutron monitor cosmic ray data. These features support the idea of propagation of heliospheric variability into layer clouds, through the global atmospheric electric circuit.
