AbstractTeachers’ performances also depend on whether and how they are satisfied with their job. Therefore, Teacher Job Satisfaction must be considered as the driver of teachers’ accomplishments. To plan future policies and improve the overall teaching process, it is crucial to understand which factors mostly contribute to Teacher Job Satisfaction. A Common Assessment Framework and Education questionnaire was administered to 163 Italian public secondary school teachers to collect data, and a second-order factor analysis was used to detect which factors impact on Teacher Job Satisfaction, and to what extent. This model-based approach guarantees to detect factors which respect important properties: unidimensionality and reliability. All the coefficients are estimated according to the maximum likelihood estimation method in order to make inference on the parameters and on the validity of the model. Moreover, a new multi-group test for higher-order factor analysis was proposed and implemented. Finally, we analyzed in detail whether the factors impacting Teacher Job Satisfaction are characterized by gender.

<p>The purpose of this study was to analyze the contribution of principals’ leadership to teacher job satisfaction. Using quantitative correlational research methods, which will reveal the contribution of each variable. The research sample was 86 teachers. Data collection used two instruments, namely the teacher's job satisfaction questionnaire and the principal’s leadership questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using simple regression and correlation techniques. The results showed that the principal’s leadership significantly contributed to teacher job satisfaction. It can be concluded that the Principal’s leadership is one of the most important factors because it can affect teacher job satisfaction. So that improving the quality of leadership by school principals needs to be improved.</p>

The primary goal of the study was to determine whether a relationship exists between the extent to which an employees career anchors are satisfied in his/her current position and his/her job satisfaction. A secondary goal was to determine whether satisfied career anchors can predict future job satisfaction. A Career Anchor Questionnaire, consisting of 41 items, was developed. The Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire was applied to 195 employees on Peromnesjob grades 11 and 13 jointly with the Career Anchor Questionnaire. The Career Anchor Questionnaire was statistically analysed through factor analysis and item analysis. The results indicate that a relationship exists between the extent to which an employees career anchors are satisfied in his/her current position and his/her job satisfaction. Opsomming Die doel van die studie was om vas te stel ofdaar n verband bestaan tussen die mate waarin n persoon se loopbaan ankers bevredig word en sy/haar werkstevredenheid. 'n Sekondêre oogmerk was om te bepaal of bevredigde loopbaanankers toekomstige werkstevredenheid kan voorspel al dan nie. 'n Loopbaanankervraelys, bestaande uit 41 items, is gekonstrueer. Dit is saam met die verkorte weergawe van die Minnesota Werkstevredenheidvraelys op 195 werknemers op Peromnes posvlakke 11 en 13 toegepas. Faktor- en itemondedings is op die items van die Loopbaanankervraelys uitgevoer. Dit is bevind dat daar 'n verband bestaan tussen die mate waarin n persoon se loopbaanankers in 'n bepaalde pos bevredig word, en sy/haar werkstevredenheid.

ABSTRAKSyarihub adalah pionir layanan transportasi online khusus wanita dan anak – anak di Indonesia. hadir dari keresahan masyarakat, khususnya wanita muslim yang merasakan sulitnya bermobilisasi dengan rasa aman, nyaman serta sekaligus dapat menjaga dirinya dari lawan jenis yang bukan mahrom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasaan kerja pada pengendara ojek online Syarihub. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksploratif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 50 orang pengemudi ojek online Syarihub di Kota Surabaya, Pengumpulan data menggunakan Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisa faktor dengan tahap analisis deskriptif yaitu memberikan gambaran tentang data yang dimiliki. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor determinan kepuasaan kerja pengemudi ojek Syarihub terdiri dari faktor kompensasi, faktor Supervision Human Relations, faktor kondisi kerja, faktor kebijakan perusahaan dan implementasinya, faktor variasi, faktor status sosial. Keenam faktor variabel tersebut dapat dikatakan sebagai variabel baru yang berpengaruh terhadap kepuasaan kerja pengemudi ojek Syarihub. Syarihub comes from the need of society, especially muslim women who find it difficult to find a secure and comfortabel transportation that at the same time enable them to keep herself separated from the opposite gender. This study aims to find out determinant factors are influencing job satisfaction’s female online motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Syarihub. This study is an explorative quantitative research by collecting data using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects were online Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Surabaya totaling 50 people.  Data collected using Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). The data analysis technique used in this study is a factor analysis technique with a descriptive analysis stage that provides an overview of the data held. The results showing that the determinants factors are influencing job satisfaction of Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers consist of compensation factor, human relations supervisory factor, working conditions factor, corporate policy factors and implementation, variation factors, social status factors. The conclusion of the study illustrates that the optimal six factors will increase job satisfaction of Syarihub motorcycle taxi riders.Keywords: Job satisfaction, Factor Analysis, female online motorcycle taxi riders.

Abstract:PERCEPTION OF JUSTICE: REFLEXION ABOUT HIGHER EDUCATION TEACHERAn analysis was conducted on the subject of the inverse association between perceptions of justice, job satisfaction and its association with seniority, type of institution and employment contract. Included were teachers, either under contract or lecturing at Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) and at Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde de Coimbra (ESTES). The instruments used were: Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ), Questionnaire of Teachers’ perceptions of Justice in Higher Education (QPJ) and a Socio-Demographic Questionnaire. From those surveyed, 48 of the 81 teachers (59.3 %) are female and 33 (40.7 % ) belong to the male gender. From those with a higher participation rate 58% hold a Masters degree, 66 % have an employment contract and 28.3 % began their teaching activity in the last five years. A conclusion was reached testifying the existence of highly significant correlations between QPJ and TJSQ. The relation between QPJ and TJSQ has shown that the different factors that make up the QPJ scale and factors 1 and 2 of the TJSQ reach statistical significance, and all of the factors of QPJ reach highly significant correlations with factors 3, 4 and 5 of the TJSQ scale. ISMT shows higher average values when compared to ESTES in all QPJ factors, exhibiting no significant differences. Regarding the number of years at work, ESTES teachers who have worked fewer years have higher averages than those who have worked for longer periods, and at ISMT the lowest average values belong to those who have worked for more years. Teachers working under service providing contracts show higher average values related to their perception of justice in the different factors, in view of this, significant differences between ISMT teachers with an employment contract and a contract to provide services are exhibited in factors 1 and 4 of the QPJ.Key words: perception of justice, higher education teacherResumo:Analisamos uma associação inversa entre as perceções de justiça e as dimensões da satisfação profissional e a sua relação com a antiguidade, tipo de instituição e contrato de trabalho. Incluímos os docentes, contratados e em exercício de funções do Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) e da Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde de Coimbra (ESTES). Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ), o Questionário de Perceções de Justiça dos Professores do Ensino Superior (QPJ) e um Questionário Sociodemográfico. Dos 81 docentes 48 (59,3%) são do sexo feminino e 33 (40,7%) são do sexo masculino. Quanto aos mais participativos 58% são mestres, 66% têm contrato de trabalho e 28,3% iniciaram a sua atividade docente nos últimos cinco anos. Concluímos a existência de correlações altamente significantes entre os fatores do QPJ e os do TJSQ o que permitiu verificar que os fatores que compõem a escala do QPJ e o fator 1, 2 da TJSQ atingem significância estatística e os fatores do QPJ correlações altamente significantes com o fator 3, 4 e 5 da TJSQ. O ISMT apresenta médias mais elevadas que a ESTES em todos os fatores do QPJ não havendo diferenças significativas. Em relação aos anos de trabalho os docentes da ESTES que trabalham há menos anos apresentam médias mais elevadas que os que trabalham há mais e no ISMT as médias mais baixas são dos que trabalham há mais anos. No contrato de trabalho os docentes em regime de prestação de serviço apresentam nos diferentes fatores médias de perceção de justiça mais elevadas pelo que há diferenças significativas entre os docentes do ISMT com contrato de trabalho e com contrato de prestação de serviços ao nível do fator 1 e 4 do QPJ.Palavras-chave: perceções de justiça, docentes de ensino superior

Iklim organisasi dan kepuasan kerja guru memainkan peranan penting dalam menentukan kejayaan sesebuah sekolah.  Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap iklim organisasi yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru mengikut kategori sekolah. Ianya juga untuk mengenal pasti sama ada terdapat hubungan yang signifikan di antara iklim organisasi sekolah berkenaan berdasarkan pandangan guru dengan kepuasan kerja guru.  Ianya juga bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti dimensi iklim organisasi yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru. Kaedah yang digunakan adalah kaedah tinjauan dan data diperolehi daripada kaedah soal selidik yang menggunakan Skala Likert lima mata. Instrumen Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire (OCDQ-RS) yang telah dibangunkan oleh Hoy et al. (1968) digunakan untuk mengukur iklim organisasi. Manakala instrumen Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) yang dibangunkan oleh Lester (1987) digunakan untuk mengukur kepuasan kerja guru. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 252 orang guru dari 9 buah sekolah menengah dalam Daerah Kuala Terengganu. Sampel kajian dipilih secara rawak mudah berstrata. Data yang diproses melibatkan statistik deskriptif iaitu pengukuran frekuensi, skor min, sisihan piawai dan peratusan. Data juga diproses menggunakan statistik inferensi iaitu Ujian-T, ANOVA Sehala, Pekali Korelasi Pearson dan Regresi. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap amalan iklim organisasi mengikut kategori sekolah, tetapi menunjukkan perbezaan yang signifikan tahap kepuasan kerja guru mengikut kategori sekolah.  Berdasarkan kajian, tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap iklim organisasi mengikut kategori umur. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan signifikan tahap kepuasan kerja guru mengikut jantina. Hasil kajian juga mendapati terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap iklim organisasi dengan tahap kepuasan kerja guru. Berdasarkan kepada dapatan kajian, beberapa cadangan kepada sekolah, guru-guru dan pengkaji pada masa akan datang boleh dibuat bagi mempertingkatkan lagi tahap iklim organisasi dan juga kepuasan kerja guru di sekolah.

Job Satisfaction has been the focus of thousands of studies and published articles in industrial-organizational psychology (Resnick & Bond, 2001).In general, Job Satisfaction is defined as a positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one’s job and is linked to the characteristics of one’s work (Dressel, 1982; Butler, 1990; Arches, 1991, cit in Sari, 2004), that is to say Job Satisfaction is usually treated as a collection of feelings or affective responses associated with the job situation, or “simply how people feel about different aspects of their jobs” (Spector, 1997, p.2). In 1967, Weiss, Dawis, England & Lofquist developed the short version of the MSQ - Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, a 5-point Likert-type scale with 20 items. This scale has been widely used in the literature being a well-known and stable over the time instrument (cf. Mathiew and Farr, 1991, Moorman, 1993, Hart, 1999, etc. cit in Fields, 2002); previous researches have been yielding coefficient alpha values ranging from .85 to .91. This instrument is also quite parsimonious, (in comparison with the 72 items of the JDI – Job Descriptive Index, for example). In this study we developed an exploratory factor analysis to assess the factor structure of this scale in a Hospital Workers sample, with N=140, recurring to IBM – PASW. Following this procedure, we conducted a Confirmatory Factor Analysis using AMOS, where our exploratory structure was compared with other structures found in previous studies, namely Martins (2008) and Sousa, Martins and Cruz (2011). This work aims at improving our understanding of the nature and assessment of Job Satisfaction in the Portuguese health care context, providing a more stable ground for future research in this area.
