The goal of the current study was to replicate the confirmatory factor analysis of Little et al.'s (2003) aggression measure in an American sample of 69 children (mean age = 12.93 years; SD = 1.27). Although an exact replication of the original model could not be estimated given the small sample, a modified model representing a conceptual replication provided a good fit to the data. Findings suggest that this child self-reported aggression measure can be used with American samples to distinguish four domains of aggressive behavior (relational, overt, instrumental, and reactive).

The purpose of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of a brief version of the AF5 questionnaire (García & Musitu, 2001) using exploratory and confirmatory techniques on a preadolescent population in the Valencian community (Spain). The sample was made up of 541 participants between 10 and 12 years old, 55.1% (298) boys and 44.9% (243) girls. After observing the results of different reliability and validity analyses (exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA)), it was found that the reduced scale consisting of 20 items showed a similar reliability and validity to the original scale. The factorial structure also fits that of the original model established a priori. According to the results of the study, the use of this diagnostic tool with Spanish children seems justified.

In 1993 Adwere-Boamah and Curds replicated a 1988 study by Violato and Holden of a four-factor model of adolescents' concerns. Employing confirmatory factor analysis, they concluded that the model did not fit the data well. In a re-analysis, it is suggested in the present paper that on the contrary, the results support the original model.

The research aims to examine the validity of four factors (course structure, course learning outcomes, Constructiveness of learning environment, and instructors' skills) about student engagement at the University of Hail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The research applied the Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) technique to confirm and validate the four factors. The data of the small sample size of 380 students of business administration took place for analysis. These four factors consisting of 18 variables, have considered from the existing literature for examination. The research uses a survey questionnaire to collect the students' perception of these factors to validate the four-factor model. The study uses Convergent validity and Discriminant validity to construct validity. The research finding supports the construct of four-factors to confirm the model is adequately fit. The results of the research contribute to existing literature from the perspective of the students of the University of Hail, Saudi Arabia, and other similar institutions of the country and outside world. The research also has created the scope for further improvement by adding some more factors along with variables of equal importance.

Abstract This study aimed to adapt the Children’s Natural Environment Signaling Scale to the Brazilian context, gathering evidence of validity and precision. Specifically, it sought to verify the presence of violent behavior in the adolescents’ family environment and to identify the victims of this type of violence. A total of 249 adolescents, between 13 and 19 years old, participated this study. The results pointed to the existence of few situations of intrafamily violence, with the most frequent victims being children and adolescents. As for the instrument, the confirmatory factor analysis revealed adequate adjustment indexes, confirming the original model of the scale, composed of four factors: physical abuse, emotional abuse, coercion, and control. The reliability, assessed using Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega coefficients, showed similar satisfactory indicators ranging from 0.69 to 0.81. The importance of having a psychometrically robust instrument is highlighted, making it possible to assess intrafamily violence in the Brazilian context.
