Decentralized industrial sectors occupy a prominent place in many developing economies. This paper explains the rationale for setting up decentralized sectors and illustrates the employment and developmental significance of such sectors in the Indian context. The conceptual framework attempts to illustrate an operating scheme by which various functions like marketing, etc., can be split into purely commercial, purely developmental and development oriented commercial sub-functions.

In today’s world of competitiveness and innovation, leading the world technologically is very important. Many economies have identified that patent protection is a very crucial strategic decision to lead in a technological industry. Patent insurance is one of the tools to support this thought. In this conceptual research paper, a trail has been to find the possibility of acceptance of patent insurance as a financial tool of securing the patents from infringements in India. Also, a conceptual framework is also framed in the form of suggestive measures to support the importance of such concept in Indian context.

In addition to contributing to the small, but fast growing, literature on CSR in emerging and developing economies around the world, this thesis draws on prior research and goes further to investigate the competitive advantage of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for transnational corporations (TNCs) in Mexico. It seeks to build a conceptual framework to understand the benefits that CSR has brought to society and corporations, investigates what is driving CSR globally and locally, analyses how global conditions unfold over local CSR, and assess how CSR is shaped by local culture, the economic and political history in Mexico.

Digital networked technologies are currently at the forefront of contemporary innovation, driving changes in sociotechnical practices across industrial sectors and in everyday life. Yet technical innovation has been outpacing our capacity to make sense of these technologies and the fundamental changes associated with them. This sense-making enterprise is the focus of our current research in developing a design philosophy for changing things. We describe a conceptual framework developed around the concept of things as fluid assemblages to investigate and articulate what is going on with things, and how their development might be (re)directed toward preferable futures. Specifically, we here examine the important role of design philosophy in innovation, using the conceptual framework developed as a way to point toward potential sites for innovation in the current sociotechnical landscape. The line of investigation we pursue suggests that doing philosophy should become a central part of innovative design practices.

The paper discusses in detail the importance of agro based industries. This whole debate of the agro based industries can be traced back to the economic development of the developing economies around the world. India has been basically an agriculture driven economy, the story of the development of the other agriculture driven economies suggest that they stated their development story with the view of also taking agriculture growth into account. They led to the path of development i.e. industrial sector and services sector but also took along agriculture with itself. This step was taken to make the growth process inclusive, that is development of all the sectors composing the economy at that point in time. But in india the growth process has not been inclusive that is, the urban centers has marched ahead while the rural sector stays behind. The development of industrial sectors has been centralized along the urban areas. This imbalance has led to a flourishing urban centre and a ruining rural centre. Now this imbalance has led to the problem of migration, unemployment in rural centres, underemployment in rural centres, acute poverty. So to tackle this problem of rural distress industrialization of rural india is a necessity and along with it growth of agriculture is also required. To tackle this dual problem the development of agro based industries is a necessity. Now there are several aspects involved in the development of an industry, I am taking into account the problem of economic viability of such rural units.

The present study examines the impact of two shopping values and three website characteristics and e-trust on shoppers' e-satisfaction. Earlier studies have identified various factors that affect shoppers' online satisfaction. It is pertinent to validate those factors in the developing economies and none of the earlier studies have explored this. To fill this gap, the study validates the scales of these constructs in the Indian context. The results reveal a positive and significant impact of utilitarian shopping value, web entertainment, effectiveness of information content, web informativeness and e-trust on shoppers' satisfaction. This paper did not find any impact of hedonic shopping values on shoppers' satisfaction. From managerial perspectives, the study can be used as a guide for online retailers in encouraging e-shopping by creating conducive websites that attract shoppers. For future researchers, this has validated scales in Indian context.

SMEs are vitally important enterprises as they are a source of income and employment in both developed and developing economies. However, despite their importance, only a small part of them survive for many years. Therefore, identifying the factors that enable SMEs to survive will play an important role in attracting entrepreneurs’ attention and encouraging them to take steps to ensure the survival of their enterprises. In the literature, these factors are considered independently of each other. In this context, there is a gap in the literature that requires to demonstrate the relationship between these factors. This article aims to contribute to the literature by identifying factors affecting the survival of SMEs in Turkey and providing a conceptual framework that explains their relationships. In the proposed framework, managerial practices, entrepreneurial traits, market adaptation, growth management and finance management were considered as the main constructs. If this conceptual framework, which was revealed as a result of field observations and detailed literature reviews, is empirically supported by further studies, it can create an alternative perspective that will inspire SME owners in Turkey to keep their companies alive for years.
