With every product we buy, there is an associated experience. The better the experiences, the better a user feels about his/her decision to buy and use the product; and the feelings do not stay with the product. They are indeed transferred as brand associations and imagery with the brand of the product, defined as brand equity in the marketing literature. Positive brand equity is critical for the success of a brand as it creates repeat transaction of the user with the manufacturer. It is in this context that this study attempts to understand the relation between different components of user experience and brand equity. Intrinsic and extrinsic values have been taken as components of user experience while association, perceived quality, perceived value, trust and loyalty are elements of brand equity. All the relationships between the different constructs of experience and brand equity were found significant. We also found significant evidence for the hierarchical formation of both user experience and brand equity. The study contributes to the literature of brand experience and how it is critical for brand equity and for the consumer. For marketers, we establish how important it is for them to provide a positive user experiences for their brands to be successful. A proper mix of intrinsic and extrinsic consumption values to the consumer will go every length to convince him/her to stay with the brand.

The main purpose of this chapter is to analyze the categories of brand equity assets through the prism of radical transparency. The results reveal that the brand equity requires investment and disappears over time if not maintained consistently with the selected business model and the company's values. The chapter is dedicated to systemize the theoretical and practical findings over the brand equity elements. Brand loyalty is the first element of the brand equity model. The benefits for the company which uses the radical transparency practices can be simply synthesized into one big advantage - satisfied and loyal customers who generate stable revenues and profits for the company in the long term. Radical transparency has a major impact on stimulating brand awareness as a factor that is particularly important in the sense that the brand must first enter into the considerations set. The company should be ready and open for cooperation with all interested parties and provide positive feedback whenever necessary. This enhances the perceived quality of the brand and the trust. The application of the radical transparency concept in the overall operation of the company enables the creation of a special set of brand associations that create long-lasting relationships with consumers, mixed with positive emotional mix that seals the success in the long term.

The essence of sponsorship is reciprocity. Whereas sport organizations and event promoters have increasingly relied on sponsors' resources and financial support to stage their events, many companies have also been vigorously seeking sponsorship opportunities to actualize their marketing goals, such as enhancing brand equity. This research examines the impacts of sponsorship-linked marketing activities on perceived consumer-based brand equity elements (i.e., brand loyalty, perceived quality, and brand awareness/associations) of the sponsor. This was done through a case study of how sponsorship-linked marketing strategy has shaped the development of Li Ning Company Limited, a Chinese sports apparel and equipment company. Results show that the branding effectiveness of sponsorship directly depends on event quality, perceived event-brand congruency, and brand experience, but not level of sports involvement.

The concept of destination brand equity remains an intriguing area for scholars and practitioners, yet an empirical investigation of its structural composition and interrelationship among its constituent dimensions remains inadequate. This study proposes a theoretical model where in addition to assessing a model adequacy, mediation analysis has been carried out with the help of structure equation modelling. Specifically, it investigates the interplay among five crucial dimensions of destination brand equity: destination brand awareness, destination image, perceived quality, perceived value, and tourist loyalty. A structural model with mediating role of perceived value dimension has been empirically verified for an Indian tourism destination. The results indicate that perceived value is central to the realisation of impacts of destination image and perceived quality on loyalty shown by the tourists toward the destination. Drawing on the results of the analyses several implications have been put forward.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the inter-relationship of dimensions for consumer-based brand equity and brand loyalty with customer satisfaction as a mediator for oral care segment with special reference to Delhi and connecting areas. Design/methodology/approach For achieving the objective of this study, the theoretical model was tested through structural equation modelling. Research scales from the literature were modified for suitability. Data were collected from 250 respondents. Findings The results indicate that for the oral care segment, customer satisfaction is significantly related to the perceived quality, brand trust, perceived value of cost and lifestyle congruence. Moreover, customer satisfaction partially mediates the relationship of perceived quality and perceived value of cost with brand loyalty, whereas it fully mediates the relationship of lifestyle congruence and brand trust with brand loyalty. Thus, even for low-involvement products, consumer purchases are based on the attributes of the brand rather than being merely habitual. Originality/value The literature supports the direct influence of brand equity on brand loyalty. However, no other study has investigated the mediating role of customer satisfaction on the relationship between brand equity and brand loyalty for low-involvement products.

There is a fastidious saying that “Customer is a king”. Mahatma Gandhiji has also quoted that “Customer is the most important visitor on our premises”. Marketers and firms had understood that desire of the customers is very important for their brands. Customer passion is the drive of any brands. Brand equity refers the brand value. Methodology: Undoubtedly brands are the asset of the company. Customer based brand equity is to determine the customer attitude towards a brand. CBBE model was proposed by Aaker(1991) and K.L Keller(1992). Based on the model, the researcher has proposed a questionnaire construct which is administered to the young student’s community of Chennai city regarding the apparel brands which they patronize in their everyday life. 273 samples were collected from the young college students of Chennai. 10 samples were taken for pilot study to check the validity of the questionnaire and the responses. Research Gap: Earlier studies have proved that Brand Awareness, Brand Associations, Perceived quality and Brand loyalty are the dimensions of brand equity. In this study the researcher has slightly made an alteration by adding additional constructs namely Brand relevance and Brand differentiation (Brand Asset Valuator Model of brand equity) and attempted to prove all the 5 dimensions are having impact on brand loyalty. Author proved, perceived quality is the mediation construct to achieve the brand loyalty (outcome) using Structural equation modelling. Findings: Findings proved that Brand Awareness, Brand Associations, Perceived quality, Brand relevance and brand differentiation is having an impact on loyalty among young students of Chennai city.

The purpose of this paper is to propose and test a model for getting a more comprehensive understanding of brand equity. It aims to analyze the effects of this construct on consumer’s responses using two European countries' data. SEM structural equation modelling was used through which the hypotheses were tested. Measurement invariance and stability of the model across the two national samples were fairly assessed by using multi-group confirmatory factor analysis. The results indicate that dimensions are inter-relatable to brand equity. There is a positive link between brand awareness which impacts brand associations and perceived quality. Brand loyalty is highly relatable by brand associations. At last, all of these are interlinked with brand equity linked to perceived quality, brand associations & brand loyalty. These possible findings link the positive impact of brand equity on the responses of consumers. The proposed general framework is generalized across all nations. Only a few differences were observed. A few in stock of a set of product categories, brands and countries were used. The practical implications of the study provide essential implications for brand equity management. These financial metrics can fit with consumer-based equity measures to better check brand performance over time against competitors to increase quality standards against others. Favourable feedback results in better branding. Moreover, the proposed model using data from a sample is used to study the limited international brand equity literature in two countries. It also enlightens the brand equity literature by empirically in-depth analyzing the relationships between consumer-based brand equity dimensions and their effects on consumers’ responses.

Purpose The purposes of the study are to investigate the role of brand experience in the generation of consumer-based brand equity (CBBE) in Islamic banking and to identify the important components of brand equity, in light of Aaker (1991) and Keller (1993), who combined effect on brand loyalty to effectively manage CBBE in Islamic banking. Design/methodology/approach Paper and pencil technique was used to collect data from the consumers of Islamic banking products. In total, 365 respondents were finally considered for data analysis. Convenient sampling technique was used to collect data. Correlation, multiple regression and hierarchical regression techniques were used with the aid of SPSS and AMOS to analyse the data. Findings The results show that perceived quality, brand image, brand experience, brand loyalty and brand awareness are positively associated and have a significant influence on overall brand equity. Based on the results, the study concludes that perceived quality is an important variable in the management of CBBE in Islamic banking to improve overall brand equity. Hence, it is concluded that perceived quality, brand experience and brand image are the most important focusing areas from CBBE in the management of Islamic banks’ brand equity and cannot be undervalued. Practical implications The research findings illustrate the importance of brand experience and effects of overall brand equity dimensions in the process of building strong brand equity of Islamic banks. Therefore, this research has implications not only for experiential marketing but also for human resource managers and brand managers. The scope of the present study is limited only to the consumers of Islamic banks products of Malaysia and Pakistan. Originality/value Brand management literature focused on the components of brand equity model and its importance in creating overall brand equity. Previous studies are yet to investigate the combined effect of brand equity components (perceived quality, brand awareness, brand image and brand loyalty) to manage overall brand equity. Therefore, the present research fills the gap by investigating the combination of best brand equity components that are very effective to manage brand loyalty and overall brand equity. Second, this study investigates the impact of brand experience on CBBE components in Islamic banking which has not been tested before in Islamic banking.
