In order to eliminate thermal deformation of large-scale precise machine tools caused by ambient temperature change, self-alignment design principle and key points are proposed for a large-scale precise machine tools, Self-alignment simulation experiment, machined parts experiment and compared results for self-alignment rail grinder and other similar products are analysed, the present analysis show that self-alignment rail grinder has many advangtages of good precision, straightness stability.

At the construction of complex concrete structures of the laser centre, the client required verification of casting procedures on large scale models. Models of the thick floor slab and of the thick wall were built in the scale 1:1, where the temperatures induced by heat of hydration and shrinkage strains were measured. The results of the experiments showed that the measured strains were larger than those expected on the basis of prediction according to European codes. Experimental results were compared with the results of numerical analysis.

This article presents the concept of a method of improving the dynamics of combustion in boilers operating in power plants, cogeneration plants, and heating plants by introducing a catalyst that is fed with a carrier in the form of droplets. Thanks to the proposed method, a greater degree of fuel burnout can be obtained, which, in turn, results in lower energy consumption in the case of producing the same amount of power. The parameters of the emitted exhaust gases and ash are also improved. The method described in the article involves the adding of a catalyst to the dust pipe of the boiler, which improves the combustion parameters. The catalyst was implemented using a sprayer/nebulizer. In order to obtain the correct flow parameters, the sprayer was modeled using CFD calculations. The calculations include trajectories, velocities and concentrations with regards to various flow parameters. Particular attention should be paid to the model of the evaporation of moving droplets. The results of these calculations enable the parameters that guarantee that the catalyst reaches the dust channel outlet in the desired form to be assessed. The analysis is an introduction to experimental research that is carried out on a medium and large scale.

Target acoustic scattering is the primary characteristic of target echo stealth performance, and it is an important sign of the viability of large-scale complex targets underwater. In a test band, owing to the superposition of scattered waves and the elastic echo produced by shells, liquid tanks, partition plates, ribs, etc., a target exhibits an extremely complex echo phenomenon. Accurate measurement and evaluation of the acoustic scattering characteristics of underwater complex targets can be achieved via experimental research on the echo characteristics of large-scale scaled models. In this study, the contribution and regularity of the strong reflection source of underwater complex targets in various azimuths, structures, and locations were analyzed quantitatively as a basis for in-depth research and understanding of the echo characteristics of underwater complex targets.
