The paper represents the studies of the process of carbonaceous raw material gasification. The initial material is represented by bituminous coal of grade H with the carbon (C) content of 79.2-85.3 %. Experimental studies have been used to substantiate the parameters of combustible generator gases (СО, Н2, СН4) output depending on the temperature of a reduction zone of the reaction channel and gas flow velocity along its length. It has been identified that the volume of the raw material input to be used for gasification process changes in direct proportion depending on the amount of burnt-out carbon and blow velocity. The gasification is intensified in terms of equal concentration of oxygen and carbon in the reaction channel of an underground gas generator. The gasification rate is stipulated by the intensity of chemical reactions, which depend immediately on the modes of blow mixture supply. Moreover, they depend directly on the intensity of oxygen supply to the coal mass and removal of the gasification products.

Abstract Recycling and rational use of wood-processing industry waste is an urgent task for the economy and industry. On the basis of experimental studies on the oxidative pyrolysis of Siberian pine and Downy birch, a basic technological scheme for components of motor fuels obtaining is proposed. It is shown that the main components of liquid products of wood pyrolysis in water vapor are aromatic and saturated hydrocarbons, as well as oxygen-containing compounds that need to be hydrogenated.

Biomass gasification is influenced by many factors, such as temperature, air equivalent ratio, steam/carbon mole ratio, etc. Mostly, these factors are affected each other during the gasification process. It is needed to study the gasification characteristics and the action mechanism of each factor. Firstly, a moving gasification bed is adopted to investigate the biomass gasification characteristics and mechanism in this paper. The pine sample is evenly distributed in a long tray and be sent into the furnace at a certain speed. At the same time, with a furnace temperature, linearly increasing from the entrance to the center of the furnace, the pine sample can be gradually heated up. Based on these, the experimental studies of pine gasification on different ER (air equivalent ratio), S/C (steam /carbon mole ratio) and the temperature T are carried through in this paper. The gas production rule and low calorific value of the syngas have been gotten with heating rate 25°C/min. At last, this paper gets the kinetic parameters of air gasification with different ER. The article presents the preliminary results of numerical simulations of the densification process of shredded waste wood. The purpose of the simulation was to evaluate the possibility of using the Drucker-Prager-Cap model in the field of modeling plastic deformation of shredded biomaterials. The experimental studies allowed the verification of numerical simulations. In the research, the stamp-cylinder assembly of a special construction was used, adapted for assembly on a strength machine. The tests carried out are to constitute guidelines for the construction of machinery and devices for compacting biomass.

The increased development of residential areas and community facilities in the South Kalimantan region, especially in Banjarmasin and its surroundings, increased demand for wood, The research objectives were to identify the problems of small industry entrepreneurs with waste wood/sibitan raw material. The research period was 5 (five) months, from the end of January 2020 to the end of April 2020, which included the preparation of research proposals, research, data processing, and reporting. The results of the research were: a) the high level of community demand for sawn wood as a basic material for building houses and the dependence of the Banjarmasin Utara Subdistrict community on the presence of the wood industry was important factors for the existence of the wood industry with raw material from industrial waste wood; b) Laws and Ministerial Regulations stipulated that the licensing authority for a logging industry is carried out by the forestry service, while for every other industry it is regulated by the Industry and Trade office; c) the solution to fulfilling the requirements for obtaining a small industry license is a guarantee that the supply of raw materials can be obtained from three alternatives, namely; source of raw materials from the waste of business permit for the Primary Industries of Timber Forest Products (IUIPHHK), People’s Plantations (HTR), and rejected wood, and d) draft policy on the legality of the wood industry with raw material from waste wood. An industrial company can obtain a permit by meeting the requirements,
