Traditional English teaching practice often centers on the teacher and implements the teaching mode of “exemplifying by the teacher-answering by students-evaluating by the teacher”. This inflexible teaching mode fails to fully exert student’s subjective function; at the same time, due to the lack of necessary guidance and help from teachers, students are more likely to suffer from learning burnout and low self-confidence. With this regard, an English multimedia teaching mode was proposed in this study based on Krashen’s “Language Input Theory”. The theory is characterized by emphasizing the analysis of English language learning from the perspectives of “acquisition” and “learning”, advocating “understanding” of knowledge and using student-centered teaching methods. In this study, Krashen’s theory was combined with interactive learning methods and multimedia information technology to form an English teaching mode focused on “teacher-student”, “student-student” and “student-computer” interactions and build an “in class- after class” and “online-offline” English learning environment. This mode was practically applied in the teaching of “College English” at Hohai University in Jiangsu Province, China. The results show that the English multimedia teaching mode based on Krashen’s theory is more effective than the traditional teaching mode in improving students’ interest and self-confidence in learning.

Under the background of quality education, it not only emphasizes training more professional and technical talents, improving their knowledge and practical skills, but also paying attention to the moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor aspects to improve the overall quality of college students. Therefore, the integration of ideological and political courses into relevant courses of teaching practice is an issue that is being actively explored and practiced in colleges and universities at present. In terms of the integration of the ideological and political education and higher mathematics courses, it is also of great significance. This paper mainly introduces the positive function of the integration of the ideological and political education into higher mathematics courses and explores the effective countermeasures of the integration of the ideological and political education into higher mathematics teaching.

<p><em>Students at higher education institutions are definitely adults who should be encouraged and given motivation </em><em>to be</em><em> the 'adult' learners. Each student has diverse characteristics that will make them ultimately bring different perspectives to the class (different types of backgrounds, learning styles, experiences, and aspirations). Therefore, educators are no longer possible to use conventional methods in cultivating the values to students to get them to be adult learners. The psychological condition of adults will encourage the teaching and learning process to be more directed to the Student-Centered Learning. This method is built on the principles of active learning constructive, some social activity, mental reflection, implementation of prior knowledge, and so forth. The learning process is a reflection cycle (about what happened), the idea of a thing (or something that needs to be tested), action (trial to do something), and outcomes (concrete experience). Problem-Based Learning method is an option that can be used to support the activities of Student-Centered Learning for the use of problems in the learning process can trigger the curiosity of students that will lead them to be able to solve their own problems by giving a definition of a certain problem and specify the collected information. In this way, students will try to associate the information they have and be able to specify the topics they will learn more.</em></p>

The national conference for college ideological and political work emphasizes that we should make good use of the main channel of classroom teaching, and that all kinds of courses should go with ideological and political theory courses in the same direction to form a synergistic effect. As a basic course in colleges and universities, college English will play an irreplaceable role in the process of "all staff, whole process and all-round education". By analyzing the significance of ideological and political education in college English course, this paper puts forward the idea of integrating ideological and political education into college English teaching. In order to realize the "ideology and politics course" in college English teaching, we should rely on the course of ideological and political education.
