Mathematics has an important role at every level of education and is a means of solving problems in life. Mathematics will increasingly provide benefits with the support of the ability to think logically-reflective to make rational decisions that are believed to be true. Student worksheets as a learning medium can combine mathematics and critical thinking skills in learning. This study was aimed to produce student worksheets based on realistic mathematics education to improve students critical thinking skills that are valid, practical and effective. The research was conducted by using Borg & Galls R&D design, but only eight steps were taken, in the form of preliminary research, development planning, initial product design development, initial product validation, initial product revision, trial use, product development revision and effectiveness testing product. The research subjects were 58 grade VI students of SDN Sumberagung 01 Jember. The data were collected by using documentation, interview, product validation, and test learning outcomes. After the data were collected, the data were analyzed by using the following techniques: product validation, t-test, and relative effectiveness test. The results of the study stated that the validity of the student worksheet development product showed 93.96% (very worthy), the productivity of the student worksheet product showed 74.71% (practical), the field test results showed that the worksheet product from this study was more effective than with the previous product, and the relative effectiveness level obtained was 62.57% (high effectiveness). Thus, it can be concluded that the product of developing student worksheets based on realistic mathematics education can improve students critical thinking skills on the fraction counting operation material.

Abstract: This classroom action research aims to describe the success of the RME approach assisted by origami manipulative media to improve the critical thinking skills of VA class students at SDN 1 Patrang Jember. The study was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were VA class students. Based on research in the first cycle showed that: (1) learning by teachers reached 89.7% and by students reached 88.5% (2) students' critical thinking skills reached 76.8%. The data in the first cycle have not yet reached the criteria for success of the action, so that improvements are made to the second cycle. In the second cycle showed that (1) teacher learning reached 95.9% and by students reached 93.2%, (2) students' critical thinking skills reached 88.9%. So it can be concluded that the RME approach assisted by origami manipulative media can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract: This research is motivated by low students' critical thinking ability. This is caused by the ineffectiveness of learning in the classroom in the learning process with conventional model while the students who receive it more passive and afraid to express the assumption because they think that math is hard to learn. So teachers need to apply a fun learning system and more real in improving the ability to think critically by using Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (RME) to help critical thinking of students to be more critical. This research is an experimental research. The population in this research is all students of class VII SMPN 2 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018. Sampling using Random Sampling technique, which is taken class VII A and VII D where two classes are given different treatment. This study aims to determine the difference of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to critical thinking skills of the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Kota Jambi, the subject of the set. Based on Post-test results can be seen that the critical thinking ability of students of class VIIIA (experiment) SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi on the set material, the average value is 76.84 with standard deviation 6.96 whereas in class VIIID (Control) average of 72.75 with standard deviation of 11.64. Based on these calculations there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class, this is the influence of the approach of Realistic Mathematics Edication (RME).Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach, Student Critical Thinking Ability

Profil of Student’s Mathematical Critical Thinking in Solving Trigonometry Question Viewed from Self-ConfidenceAbstractEntering the era of the Asean Economic Community (MEA) requires qualified teacher candidates to be able to prepare generations that can compete globally. One of the abilities that a prospective teacher must possess is mathematical critical thinking skills. A study concluded that critical thinking skills are influenced by self-confidence. This study aims to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of the SWCU FKIP Mathematics Education students in terms of their level of confidence. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were SWCU FKIP Mathematics Education students taken based on 2 categories, namely students with high self-confidence or S1 and students with low self-confidence or S2. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in mathematical critical thinking skills between S1 subjects and S2 subjects where S1 subjects fulfill all aspects of FRISCO (focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, and overview) while S2 subjects only fulfill focus, reason, inference, and clarity aspects.
