There are a lot of factors affecting employee motivation in the company. Some of them are supported by law, while others result from voluntary activities of the company, and the way to some of them still have not been found. Our research dealt with one of the possibilities, the S-LCA indicators as employee motivation factors. The attention is usually paid to companies and their system of employee stimulation. This research is supported by in-depth literature review in the field of S-LCA. Our research addressed employees of one medium-sized company to find out what they think of the activities of their management in the area of stimulation of their employees. Using a factor analysis, we found seven basic motivation factors, i.e. Safety at Work, Fair Remuneration, Social Security and Benefits, Work Climate, Basic Rights and Freedoms, Corporate Image, and Equal Opportunity. In the context of social impacts of manufacturing on employees, individual employee groups are motivated to work in different ways.

AbstractEmployees who have a high level of engagement can be a solution to performance problems, because they feel tied to the organization and work enthusiastically. The study aims to determine the condition of engagement and analyse the factors that can affect the level of engagement of employees of bank front lines in the city of Bandung. The method used in this research is descriptive method by applying exploratory factor analysis to 42 factors that influence employee engagement. The results of the study found that the 42 factors were quite influential in increasing the engagement of Bank front liner employees in the city of Bandung. And 5 new factors are formed which consist of: Individual Factors Facility Factors; Motivation Factors; and Career Factors.

Background: Hospitals are considered the most important consumer units in the health system. Based on the effect of the hospital network in optimal and efficient hospital management, this study aimed to identify and explain the role of factors influencing hospital network management in the Iranian Social Security Organization (ISSO). Methods: This study was conducted by a mixed method in 2018. First, variables and factors affecting the management of hospital networks were extracted from the literature review and through interviews with 15 experts, and a questionnaire with 40 questions was developed. Then, it was distributed among 448 experts in the healthcare section of the ISSO all over the country, and 405 questionnaires were completed and collected. Data were analyzed via exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations using SPSS23 software and AMOS24 software. The validity of the questionnaire was determined via expert judgment (CVRs = 0.40) and reliability was estimated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α = 0.87). Results: Based on the confirmatory factor analysis, financing, monitoring and evaluation, accountability, strategic planning, and decision rights were identified as key factors affecting hospital network management. Financing with standard coefficients of 0.83 had the highest and decision rights with standard coefficients of 0.44 had the lowest effect on hospital network management of the ISSO. Conclusion: To efficient hospital network management of the ISSO, while emphasizing all identified factors, special attention should be paid to financing and modifying the method of budgeting and using suitable monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence employee job satisfaction at PT Astra Medan Branch. The benefits of research help provide input to the leadership of the company in determining policies for the progress of PT Astra Medan Branch and can be used as reference material in enriching and deepening science. The number of samples was 105 respondents, the types of data used were primary and secondary data, and the method of data collection through questionnaires and documentation, the method of data analysis used factor analysis. The results showed that the KMO Measure of Sampling Adequacy (MSA) figure of 0.825 was above 0.50, with a significance of 0,000, so the variables were worthy of further analysis. Scree plot shows the graph, where from factor 1 to factor 2 (source line component number = 1 to 2), the direction of the line decreases sharply. Then from number 2 to number 6, the direction of the line is still decreasing with slope getting smaller. The seventh to twenty-first factors are below the number of the Y axis (eigenvalues). This shows that the six factors are best for summarizing the twenty-one factors that influence employee job satisfaction at PT Astra Medan Branch. The dominant factors affecting job satisfaction of employees of PT Astra Medan Branch are incentives or bonuses, work policies and procedures, promotion of positions, intrinsic of work, social security and official vehicles. The most dominant factor influencing employee job satisfaction is incentives or bonuses. Suggestions that are recommended to company leaders should the company increase the amount of incentives or bonuses, pay attention to the establishment of work policies and procedures, maintain the provision of social security and official vehicles. The company should provide the greatest opportunities for employees with the best performance to be promoted to higher positions.

Employee motivation is a prerequisite for the effective development of the potential of human resources. Therefore, motivation processes are important. The aim of the paper was to define the motivational priorities of white-collar employees in forest enterprises. Following the research results, cluster analysis statistical methods were used to define employee groups with similar motivations. The research was carried out in 11 forest enterprises with 195 total respondents. The results indicated that it is possible to create a unified motivation program with selected motivation factors for white-collar employees in forest enterprises. Defined groups had similar levels of motivation in individual motivation factors. Three significant motivation factors were determined: basic salary, working environment, and fair appraisal system. These motivation factors can be systematically implemented as a tool to improve the level of motivation of individual groups. It is important to consider that conditions and work environments change over time, so an effective motivation program must be updated regularly in order to produce sustained benefits.

Research background: The globalization affects the labour requirements. Therefore, it is important to distinguish, for example, the composition of the workforce in terms of age. The ageing population is a global problem and labour shortages in the labour market force employers to address the diversity of the age structure of their current as well as potential employees. Purpose of the article: The goal of the article is to compare the importance of motivational factors of different age groups of employees. The conclusion of the article also compares the significance of factors in terms of the age structure of employees. Methods: In the article, the method of analysis of available resources was used. Then the method of synthesis was used in finding out the connection between the resources. The sample of employees is divided into groups according to age categories. By using factor analysis, the factors affecting them are identified for each age group of employees. Primary research, as a basis for factor analysis, was carried out using a questionnaire. Findings & Value added: Motivation is one of the key elements of human resource management. It can contribute to increasing employee performance and satisfaction. It is essential to the effective functioning of each organization and achievement of strategic goals. By knowing the preferences and values of employees, the article can bring recommendations for improving the current motivation systems in organizations. This can contribute to the efficient use of employers´ money they spend on employee benefits.

The improvement of transit service quality is an essential role in developing urban and interstate transportation. The local government, as well as bus service companies, should understand the behavioral intention of passengers to meet their expectation and requirements. This paper aims to highlight such behavioral decision and investigate dominant factors that influence the customers’ decision to use the express bus. The study explores the case of express bus companies in Tay Ninh province, Vietnam. By using the structural equation model approach to analyze the data collected from 295 passengers, who have experienced in using the express bus, the results reveal that service quality has a significantly positive relationship with both perceived value and corporate image. Specifically, customer satisfaction and organizational image also positively influence behavioral intention. Meanwhile, service quality indirectly affects on behavioral intention throughout perceived value and corporate image. Based on the findings, we provided some insightful managerial implications and recommendations to managers of bus carriers, and valuable practical suggestions to policymakers in the local government of Tay Ninh province to improve the service quality to encourage more citizens to use the express bus.

The purpose of this paper is to proffer an enrichment of the workplace spirituality (WS) construct using tenets of Indian philosophy, and to select and execute an instrument for empirical validation of the construct to assess its cross-regional universality. The literature review was undertaken and the most accepted construct and its accompanying instrument, both developed by Ashmos and Duchon, were identified. The chosen construct was then evaluated and critiqued by leveraging tenets of Samkhya, Yoga and Vedanta, the three most influential Indian philosophies. Subsequently, a survey was conducted on Indian managers working across various industries and regions in India. Factor analysis resulted in validation of cross-geographical universality of the WS construct. However, participants’ responses throw up factors with distinctively contrasting difference vis-à-vis the previous study. A plausible explanation built on the essence of Indian philosophy is attempted, and opportunities for future research are identified.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of construction professionals relative to factors that affect the delivery of optimum health and safety (H&S) on construction projects during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach The study adopted a quantitative design which entailed the distribution of a web-based questionnaire among construction professionals, namely, architects, construction/project managers, engineers, H&S managers and quantity surveyors working for contractors and construction consultants in Zimbabwe. The data were analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics. Factor analysis was used to reveal interrelated significant sets of factors affecting the delivery of optimum H&S. Findings Factor analysis revealed nine components/factors: change and innovation-related, monitoring and enforcement-related, production-related, access to information and health service-related, on-site facilities and welfare-related, risk assessment and mitigation-related, job security and funding-related, cost-related and COVID-19 risk perception-related factors as the significant factors affecting the delivery of optimum H&S during the COVID-19 pandemic in Zimbabwe. Research limitations/implications The results highlighted the need for social dialogue among construction stakeholders to support initiatives that will enhance the delivery of H&S on construction projects. Construction stakeholders may find the results useful in highlighting the areas that need improvement to protect workers’ H&S during the pandemic. However, the small sample limits the generalisability of the results to construction sectors in other regions. Originality/value The study investigated factors affecting the delivery of optimum H&S during the COVID-19 to inform interventions to enhance H&S.
