Is presented the dynamics and kinematics of the semi-leptonic decays with interaction  V-A calculating the decay width and the fraction of decay for each process using spectator model. The results are compared with the experimental data of the table particle data group, which show that the model prediction for this type of decay can be considered as a first approximation. This type of analysis is particularly important because it allows one hand, introduce to the beginner students to the study of particle physics and on the other gives the possibility to use strategies to address topics modern in physics courses at university level.

The new experimental data of kaon photoproduction on the nucleon γp → K+Λ have been analyzed by means of a multipoles model. Different from the previous models, in this analysis the resonance decay widths are constrained to the values given by the Particle Data Group (PDG). The result indicates that constraining these parameters to the PDG values could dramatically change the conclusion of the important resonances in this reaction found in the previous studies.

Is investigated the top quark decay (t) two bodies using the spectator model. Is analyzed the decay (t→bW⁺) calculated theoretically the width of decay and decay fraction of the particle whose result is compared with the experimental data of the table Particle Data group. The model prediction on the decay process can be considered good as a first approach to this class of decay. This type of analysis is particularly important because it allows one hand, familiarize students with the decays of particles and on the other, open a space to introduce topics of particle physics in the introductory courses at university level.

The possible violation of CP, T and CPT symmetries in the [Formula: see text] system is studied in a way as phenomenological and comprehensive as possible. For this purpose, we first introduce parameters which represent violation of these symmetries in mixing parameters and decay amplitudes in a convenient and well-defined way and, treating these parameters as small, derive formulas which relate them to the experimentally measured quantities. We then perform numerical analyses to derive constraints to these symmetry-violating parameters, with the latest data reported by KTeV Collaboration, NA48 Collaboration and CPLEAR Collaboration, along with those compiled by Particle Data Group, used as inputs. The result obtained by CPLEAR Collaboration from an unconstrained fit to a time-dependent leptonic asymmetry, aided by the Bell–Steinberger relation, enables us to determine or constrain most of the parameters separately. It is shown among the other things that (1) CP and T symmetries are violated definitively at least at the level of 10-4in 2π decays, (2) CP and T symmetries are violated at least at the level of 10-3in the [Formula: see text] mixing, and (3) CPT symmetry is at present tested to the level of 10-5at the utmost.

Considerable information has been obtained about neutrino mixing matrix. Present data show that in the particle data group (PDG) parametrization, the 2–3 mixing angle and the CP violating phase are consistent with [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. A lot of efforts have been devoted to constructing models in realizing a mixing matrix with these values. However, the particular angles and phase are parametrization convention dependent. The meaning about the specific values for mixing angle and phase needs to be clarified. Using the well-known nine independent ways of parametrizing the mixing matrix, we show in detail how the mixing angles and phase change with conventions even with the 2–3 mixing angle to be [Formula: see text] and the CP violating phase to be [Formula: see text]. The original Kobayashi–Maskawa and an additional one belong to such a category. The other 6 parametrizations have mixing angles and phase very different values from those in the PDG parametrization although the physical effects are the same. Therefore one should give the specific parametrization convention when making statements about values for mixing angles and phase.

This introductory chapter examines the early career of Vincent de Paul between 1581 and 1611, moving from his birth and education to his arrival in Paris in 1608, and his immersion in the dévot environment there. It begins with a summary of his birth in south-west France and his years of education to university level. It then outlines his appointment as an almoner in the royal household of Marguerite de Valois in early 1610, after he had taken up residence in Paris two years earlier. It concludes with an analysis of the other aspects of his material livelihood during these years, including his acquisition of the abbey of Saint-Léonard-de-Chaumes in western France.

Abstract A coherent study of e+e− annihilation into two (π+π−, K+K−) and three (π+π−π0, π+π−η) pseudoscalar meson production is carried out within the framework of resonance chiral theory in energy region E ≲ 2 GeV. The work of [L.Y. Dai, J. Portolés, and O. Shekhovtsova, Phys. Rev. D88 (2013) 056001] is revisited with the latest experimental data and a joint analysis of two pseudoscalar meson production. Hence, we evaluate the lowest order hadronic vacuum polarization contributions of those two and three pseudoscalar processes to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. We also estimate some higher-order additions led by the same hadronic vacuum polarization. Combined with the other contributions from the standard model, the theoretical prediction differs still by (21.6 ± 7.4) × 10−10 (2.9σ) from the experimental value.

Using a new Hamiltonian of interaction we have calculated the cohesive energy in three-dimensional structures. We have found the news dependences of this energy on the distance between the atoms. The obtained results are in a good agreement with experimental data in ionic, covalent and noble gases crystals. The coupling constant γ between the interacting field and the atoms is somewhat smaller than unity in ionic crystals and is some larger than unity in covalent and noble gases crystals. The formulae found by us are general and may be applied, also, to the other types of interactions, for example, gravitational interactions.

AbstractMany experimental data along with their theoretical interpretations on the rf low-temperature cylindrical plasma have been issued until today. Our Laboratory has contributed to that research by publishing results and interpretative mathematical models. With the present paper, two issues are being examined; firstly, the estimation of electron drift caused by the rf field gradient, which is the initial reason for the plasma behaviour, and secondly, many new experimental results, especially the electron-neutral collision frequency effect on the other plasma parameters and quantities. Up till now, only the plasma steady state was taken into consideration when a theoretical elaboration was carried out, regardless of the cause and the effect. This indicates the plasma's complicated and chaotic configuration and the need to simplify the problem. In the present work, a classification about the causality of the phenomena is attempted; the rf field gradient electron drift is proved to be the initial cause.
