In different spheres of everyday life it is very important to determine the weight of substances, objects and peoples. Strain gauges are widely used in load cells for electronic scales. However, the signal from these transducers presents noise due to various factors. This work presents a virtual instrument developed in LabVIEW for acquisition and processing of the AC108B/BW load cell signal. A moving average digital filter was developed, in order to decrease the amplitude of the signal noise.

This article presents the development of a distributed fault diagnosis and monitoring system whose remote nodes are responsible for data collection and distributed analysis to identify problems that could lead to critical faults in industrial processes or systems. The developed intelligent remote node was implemented with MCU LPCXpresso54114 connected to a ZigBee protocol wireless sensor network through XBee communication module. The gateway node is a Raspberrry PI with HTTP communication and JSON format to the PI System industrial monitoring system database. Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) was implemented and validated to identify interturn faults of induction motors. The developed platform is a tool to perform comparison and validation of analysis techniques, indicators, and fault classification, because there are different combinations that can be applied to improve diagnosis reliability, fault observability, differentiation between fault conditions, classification accuracy, tolerance to transients, sensitivity, among others.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) occurs in 16% of the Colombian student population and estimates that between 30-70% of these children continue to show symptoms in adulthood. Thus, a tool is proposed for the professional to support his diagnosis according to the criteria offered by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DMS). An omnidirectional platform is implemented, striking for its design, for children, adolescents and that becomes a concentration challenge for adults. With an Electroencephalography (EEG) helmet a brain wave reading is made; with the help of a Computer Brain Interface (BCI) you can have the reading of facial gestures, having said reading is implemented to control the omnidirectional platform, with the same BCI you also have the reading of concentration, stress, excitation, etc. of individuals; Thus, the professional in the area can support his diagnosis according to several factors, such as: EEG interpretation, emotional data (concentration, stress, excitement ...), and the observation of the individual. The evaluation of the patient makes the health professional, generating some challenges to overcome the platform and interpreting the different data according to their professional criteria.

The use of the Internet has Reached a point in the world in Which it has Become essential in everyday life, the need to Have information at hand in the shortest possible time has generated a technological revolution That incurs the constant connection to this tool, from our Personal life to the same objects That we use in daily life, creating a need to check what surrounds us to Improve our quality of life, reason for the birth of the Internet of Things (IoT, for acronym in English), as well as the convergence of our environment through the creation with Technology of smart cities (Smart City in English). In view of the above, this article addresses concepts about the future of smart cities in collaboration with the Internet of things, the advantages and Disadvantages of these, their comparison, reception, adaptability.

In this document, the variation of temperature and radiation in a 100 kW photovoltaic assembly is connected to a 25 kV network through a DC-DC booster converter and a three-phase three-phase voltage source converter (VSC). Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is implemented in the elevator converter using a Simulink® model that uses the technique of 'Incremental Conductance + Integral Regulator'. The switching duty cycle is optimized by an MPPT controller that uses the technique of 'Incremental Conductance + Integral Regulator'. This MPPT system automatically modifies the duty cycle to generate the voltage required to extract the maximum power.

The following document applied to the investigation and reconstruction of traffic accidents, seeks to conceptualize the serious errors that exist in many public and private institutions when considering that the reconstruction of a traffic accident is to determine the vehicle speed, with one or more physical equations or in the worst case, a 2D or 3D animation of an alleged traffic accident dynamics, as well as explain confused concepts and procedures in the field of criminal investigation, specifically in the reconstruction of traffic accidents. Starting from the premise that the reconstruction of a violent  in traffic death essentially seeks the identification and clearancing of variables in the investigation, also exposing not very clear concepts regarding the topic of interest; from the above, important errors are determined in the concepts that we have of what is a forensic reconstruction, the hypotheses that are used in the sketch of traffic accidents in Colombia and the great errors that exist in the matter of fixing physical evidence (EF).

In recent years, the Internet has evolved till become the Internet of Things (IoT for its acronym). This is one of the most important and significant inventions of all humanity, generating a direct impact on the way of how people live, think and act. It is one of the most used terms by anyone who talks about intelligent connectivity. Internet of things changes everything, is the answer to connect to the network an incredible number of people and link everyday objects, which are equipped with sensors, actuators and communication technologies and they are used to exchange information from the physical world through the Internet, offering data in real time and monitored through the network. Thanks to IoT, more and more companies are integrating small sensors to real-world objects, which provide information about almost everything that can be measured, so the amount of information circulating through networks grows exponentially. Smart cities are a good example of the benefits that IoT brings, by improving the quality of life of people with the services that are offered in an efficient and sustainable way. The installation of IoT brings great challenges focused on information security in organizations, but also opportunities for development in all areas of daily life and excellent ideas for innovation.
