The purpose of this study was to determine and examine the effect of asset structure, profitability, firm size and company growth on the capital structure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2013 – 2017. The sampling method used was purposive sampling that was 52 companies in the criteria. Data obtained from the Financial Reports and Performance Reports published in the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD). The analytical tool that used is multiple regression. Hypothesis testing is done by the F test, t-test and determination coefficient. For the classical assumption, the test is done by the normality test, autocorrelation test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. The analysis of asset structure has a positive effect on the capital structure and not significant to the capital structure, profitability has a negative and significant effect on the capital structure, the size of the company has a positive and significant effect on the capital structure, and the company’s growth has a negative and significant effect on the capital structure.

This study has a purpose to explain the significance of the effect of capital structure, firm size, company growth, and profitability affect partially or simultaneously on the value of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. The population in this study were 144 manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange, a sample of 74 companies during the study period namely 2010-2016 using purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria. The data source used in this study is secondary data. Multiple linear regression is the analytical technique used in this study. After testing, the results of the capital structure, company growth, and profitability are obtained simultaneously and have a significant effect on the value of the company. Partially the capital structure has a negative and significant effect on firm size, company growth and profitability have a positive and significant effect on the value of the company.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of Asset Structure, Profitability, Company Growth and Company Size on the Capital Structure of Manufacturing Companies in the Goods and Consumption Industry Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Period 2017 - 2019. This study uses a sample of 26 manufacturing companies in the goods and consumption industry sector which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2017 - 2019. The data used are secondary data obtained from the site www.idx.co.id. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study, it is known that partially the structure of the Asset Structure has a Significant Effect on the Capital Structure, while the Profitability, Company Growth, and Company Size variables do not have a Significant Effect on the Capital Structure. Hasil penelitian ini, diketahui bahwa secara parsial struktur struktur aktiva memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan variabel profitabilitas, pertumbuhan perusahaan dan ukuran perusahaan tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Capital structure is the ratio between debt (foreign capital) and own capital (equity). There are several factors that affect capital structure such as dividend policy, liquidity, tangibility, asset turnover and company growth. This study aims to determine the effect of dividend policy, liquidity, tangibility, asset turnover and company growth on capital structure. In this study, the sampling method was carried out using purposive sampling and obtained as many as 14 companies in the consumer goods industry sector which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2015-2018. Thus the amount of data observed in this study amounted to 56 data. Data in this study were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 22 with multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that liquidity and asset turnover affect the capital structure while the dividend policy, tangibility and company growth do not affect the capital structure.

            This research is aimed at analyzing the effect of company growth, capital structure, and profitability on the value of the company. The object of  this research is manufacture companies registered in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2011-2015. The sample of this research is selected through purposive sampling. There are 21 companies of 146 manufacture companies selected as the samples. The data were analyzed with path analysis. The research showed that company growth did not have significant direct effect on the value of company, while the capital structure and profitability had significant effect on the value of the company. Company growth and capital structure did not have significant effect on the value of company through profitability. Company growth had negative effect on profitability while profitability had positive effect on the value of the company. Profitability is not able to be the intervening variable.Keywords : company growth, capital structure, profitability, and value of the company.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of business risk, profitability, and asset structure on capital structure. This study takes samples from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The sample used is purposive sampling. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of business risk research have a significant positive effect on the capital structure of Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the IDX in 2015-2019 while profitability has a significant negative effect on the capital structure of Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the IDX, and asset structure has a significant positive effect on the capital structure in Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. This research aims to analyze the effects of profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth, and firm size towards capital structure (DER) and the impact on firm value (PBV).This research uses secondary data from yearly financial statement of food and baverages companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange for period 2013-2017. The research design uses descriptive quantitative research and causality. Sampling method uses purposive sampling method, with some predetermined criteria, the number of sample is 17 manufacturing companies. The analysis technique used is panel data regression. The research results shows that the profitability (ROA) and firm size partially have negative effect and not significant on capital structure (DER). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative effect and significantly on capital structure (DER). Then the capital structure (DER) partially have positive effect but not significantly influences the firm value (PBV). The profitability (ROA) partially have positive effect and significant on firm value (PBV). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative and significant effect on firm value (PBV), and firm size partially have negative and not significant effect on firm value (PBV). Simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size effect on capital structure (DER). On the other side, simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size have effect on firm value (PBV).

<p><em>T</em><em>he objective of this research is to analyze: the influence of firm’s size on capital structure, the influence of profitability on capital structure, the influence of business risk on capital structure, the influence of time interest earned on capital structure, the influence of asset growth on capital structure, the influence of liquidity on capital structure, the influence of asset structure on capital structure, and the influence of managerial ownership on capital structure </em></p><p><em>T</em><em>he research was conducted in the companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange except for banks and other financial companies during 2012-2015 observation period. This research is developed based on the previous research carried out by Firnanti (2011)</em>. <em>T</em><em>he total samples taken by using purposive sampling method were 130 companies out of 351 companies. Multiple regression is used to analyze the hypothesis of this study.</em></p><em>The result of this research found that (1) the size of the company's has a positive effect on the capital structure, (2) profitability has an adversely affect on the capital structure, (3) the business risk has no effect on capital structure, (4) time interest earned has no effect on the capital structure, (5 ) asset growth has a positive effect on the capital structure, (6) liquidity has a positive effect on the capital structure, (7) assets structure has a positive effect on the capital structure, and (8) managerial ownership affect positively on the capital structure.</em>

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability mediation and capital structure on the effect of company growth on firm value. The study was conducted on manufacturing companies listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2017 with a total sample of 17 companies. The research data was analyzed using causal step regression analysis and product of coefficient models with the help of the SPSS version 19.00 application. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained by sales growth is not significant to the value of the company. Sales growth has a negative effect on profitability. Profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value. The company's growth has a significant positive effect on capital structure. Capital structure has a significant negative effect on firm value. Profitability does not mediate the influence of company growth on firm value. Capital structure is able to mediate the influence of company growth on firm value.
