Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a multivariate statistical analysis technique that is used to analyze the structural relationships between observed variables and latent constructs. SEM has several methods one of which is Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). An empirical application concerning the relationship between renumeration and work motivation on employee performance is presented to illustrate the usefulness of the GSCA method. Data were collected by a questionnaire distributed to lecturers and staffs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The result showed that the remuneration variable had a significant and positive impact on work motivation. Also, the work motivation variable had a significant and positive effect on employee performance.

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between environmental, behavioral, health services, education, and economic variables to health status in the Province of Bali. These variables are constructs (latents ) that can not be measured directly by observation. If there was a relationship between latent and its indicators, it is recomended to use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In this research we used variance-based SEM i.e. Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). This method not based on many assumptions such as the data does not have a multivariate normal distribution, the sample size does is not necessary large. Moreover, GSCA provides by overall goodness-fit of the model. The result of this research indicates that the environmental, behavioral, economic and educational variable influenced health status, but health service does not significantly affect the health status; economic does not significantly affect the environment; and education does not significantly affect the behavior. The result of the FIT value ?0.450 and the AFIT value 0.429 showed that overall model in this research is not good enough because of both of these values are under 0.50.

AbstractGeneralized structured component analysis (GSCA) is a technically well-established approach to component-based structural equation modeling that allows for specifying and examining the relationships between observed variables and components thereof. GSCA provides overall fit indexes for model evaluation, including the goodness-of-fit index (GFI) and the standardized root mean square residual (SRMR). While these indexes have a solid standing in factor-based structural equation modeling, nothing is known about their performance in GSCA. Addressing this limitation, we present a simulation study’s results, which confirm that both GFI and SRMR indexes distinguish effectively between correct and misspecified models. Based on our findings, we propose rules-of-thumb cutoff criteria for each index in different sample sizes, which researchers could use to assess model fit in practice.

We conceptualize that safety culture (SC) has a positive impact on employee’s safety performance by reducing their psychosocial hazard. A higher level of safety culture environment reduces psychosocial hazards by improving the employee performance towards safety concerns. The purpose of this study was to evaluate how psychosocial hazard mediates the relationship between safety culture and safety performance. Data were collected from 380 production employees in three states of Malaysia from the upstream oil and gas sector. Structural equation modeling was implemented to test the suggested hypotheses. The proposed model was evaluated using structural equation modeling. A stratified sampling with a Likert 5-point scale was used to distribute the questionnaires. Furthermore, the proposed model was tested using the simulation of the structural equation and partial. All hypotheses results showed strong support. According to our findings, all hypotheses are significant. A review of prior studies was used to select the items of the dimension for the data collection. Safety culture was assessed with psychosocial hazard to determine its direct and indirect impact on safety performance. Results suggested that to enhance safety performance (leading and lagging), psychosocial concerns in the workplace environments should be taken into consideration by employees. In addition, the findings showed that the psychosocial hazard fully mediates the relationship between safety culture and safety performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on employee performance. The effect of organizational commitment mediates the relationship between work motivation on employee performance and job satisfaction on employee performance and psychological capital, which moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. The object of this research is the employees of the state civil apparatus. They work in government agencies in the education sector of the Directorate of Senior High Schools in Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with one hundred and ten respondents, sampling using a saturated sample technique, and a questionnaire as a measuring tool. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the model's suitability in this study with the help of the SmartPLS version 3 application. The results of this study conclude that work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction affect employee performance, organizational commitment can mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance but cannot mediate the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, and psychological capital can moderate the relationship between job satisfaction with employee performance.

This study examines the driving factors that can enhance tourist destination loyalty. Respondents used were 184 domestic tourists who had traveled to Bali. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. Amos version 21 is used to process data. These results indicate that destination personality can improve the relationship destination but memorable tourist experience can not enhance it. The personality of a tourist destination enhance self-congruity. The study also found that memorable tourist experiences and the relationship destinations has a positive impact on increasing destinations loyalty. Self-congruity has a negative effect on destination loyalty. One contribution of this research related to showing the memorable tourist experience is more likely to influence loyal decisions than destination relationships.

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of work motivation, competence and workload on the performance of employees in the Municipality of Semarang. Population in this research is 147 administrators of local property in Semarang City Government. Using the Slovin formula, 108 samples were obtained. The analysis tool in this study using the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling with the help of software applications SmartPLS version 3.2.7. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance, competence has a positive effect on employee performance, workload does not affect employee performance, work discipline does not affect employee performance, work discipline strengthens the influence of work motivation on employee performance, and work discipline cannot moderate the influence of competence on employee performance
