This paper describes a study starting from an analysis of typical energy demand profiles in a hospital setting followed by the case study of a cogeneration system (CGS) by an ESCO (Energy Service Company) project. The concept is a future autonomous system for the combined generation of electrical, heating and cooling energy in the hospital. The driving cogeneration units are two high-efficiency gas engines; this is used to produce the electrical and heat energy. Gas engine is used as a driving unit because of high needs for electrical and heating energy. The natural gas-fuelled reciprocating engine is used to generate 735kW of power. In our case electrical energy will be used only in the Hospital. A deficit in electricity can be also purchased from the public network. The generated steam will be used to drive three steam-fired absorption chillers and delivered to individual consumers of heat. This system is capable of doing simultaneous heating and cooling. No obstacles were recognized for the technical feasibility of CGS. The average ratio between electric and thermal load in the Hospital is suitable to make CGS system operate. An analysis performed for a non-optimized CGS system predicted a large potential for energy savings.

In recent years, Energy Service Company (ESCO) has been vigorously promoted around the world to engage the challenges of energy efficiency and security, as well as the intensification of the sustainable environment management. Since ESCO were launched in 1980s, ESCO has gradually integrated various service innovation elements, may including innovation sources, service value activities and service externalities. This study aims to assess the service innovations and the service package structure within ESCO. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) is used to resolve the multi-goal problem for achieving our research purposes. That is, this research attempts to reveal the service package structures for the purposes of ESCO with having service innovation elements. The results first show that service value activities is the most important object to the development of service innovations within ESCO, followed by the service externalities and innovation sources. Additionally, selective service package structure would be the more advantageous service package structure utilized in meeting the ESCO goals.

Energy service industry (ESI) has grown quickly recent year in China. A main and important role in ESI is Energy Service Company (ESCO) which engages in reducing energy consumption through retrofitting the existing facilities. This survey focuses on the development of energy service industry in Zhejiang involving opportunities and barriers of the growth of ESCO. The results show that generating a third-party finanicing network, building more perfect policies and regulations and raising credit awareness are significant factors for healthy development of ESI.

Introduction. Sustainable economic development, increasing the role of e-commerce, receiving of fast access to information and multichannel of information exchanging enhance of the innovation activity at enterprise. According to this, topical question is the improvement the approaches to components of management system of innovative activity of energy service company. Purpose: the study of components of innovative management at energy service company on the basis of including of modern tendencies of economy and society development. Method (methodology). Methodological basis of the research were the following methods: induction and deduction – for considering the essence of the concepts «innovation system» and «innovative enterprise»; system-functional – for determining the components of the innovative management system of the energy service company; logical generalization – for distinguishing the place and role of innovative management in the activity of the energy service company. Results. The article is explored approaches to defining an innovation system and an innovative enterprise. Energy service companies are seen as innovating businesses. It is noted that the innovation management system is treated as a separate management mechanism, as a subsystem of the innovation system, as an element of the overall management system of a company, organization or institution. The place and role of the innovative management system in the activity of the energy service company is established. The results of research the components of the enterprise innovation management system is the basis for further scientific research in the direction of defining the tasks of innovative management of energy service companies.
