Abstract A spectral shift function (SSF) is an important object in the scattering theory which is related both to the spectral density and to the scattering matrix. In the paper, it is shown how to employ the SSF formalism to solve scattering problems when the continuum is discretized, e.g. when solving a scattering problem in a finite volume or in the representation of some finite square-integrable basis. A new algorithm is proposed for reconstructing integrated densities of states and the SSF using a union of discretized spectra corresponding to a set of Gaussian bases with the shifted scale parameters. The examples given show that knowledge of the discretized spectra of the total and asymptotic Hamiltonians is sufficient to find the scattering partial phase shifts at any required energy, as well as the resonances parameters.

Neutron star is an important object for us to verify the equation of state of hadronic matter. For a specific choice of equations of state, mass and radius of a neutron star are determined, for which there are constraints from observations. According to some previous studies, since the strong magnetic field acts as a repulsive force, there is a possibility that neutron stars with strong magnetic fields may have relatively heavier masses than other non-magnetized neutron stars. In this paper, the structure of a neutron star with a strong internal magnetic field is investigated by changing its internal functional form to see how much the neutron star can be massive and also how radius of a neutron star can be within a certain range.

In the current conditions of increased retail trade competition, which include the pandemic, further decrease in consumers’ purchasing power, tougher competition between federal and regional retail chains and digitalization, it is crucial to improve the customer experience quality, ensuring its compliance with new customers’ requirements and the opportunities presented by digital technologies. In this context, the need to solve the problem of improving the validity of the assessment of the customer experience quality, which is considered the most important object of sales management and a factor of competitiveness of trading companies, becomes particularly relevant. The study of various approaches to conducting this assessment made it possible to identify such problems as lack of consensus on the essence of the concept of ‘customer experience quality’, incomplete accounting of factors affecting the customer experience quality, lack of systematization of indicators of its assessment, insufficient development of approaches to assessing the customer experience quality compared to the competitors. The author clarified the definition of ‘customer experience’ from the standpoint of the interests of trade companies interested in assessing the customer experience quality as a tool that provides an increase in the level of sales management and competitiveness. Based on the proposed approach to the systematization of indicators for assessing the customer experience quality, an integrated approach to its assessment is presented, which allows not only calculating integral indicators for assessing the customer experience quality and comparing it with that of competitors, but also private indicators that allow identifying directions of its improvement.

Traffic signs object detection has gained great interest in recent years, as one of the most important object detector applications. Traffic signs detection is based on deep learning, which gives it the benefit of high detection precision and timely response to condition changes of the traffic. Therefore, this paper shows an efficient method for detecting traffic signs in real-time. Hence, it implements a new Iraqi Traffic Sign Detection Benchmark (IQTSDB) dataset based on Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (Mask R-CNN). The results show that the implementation of IQTSDB dataset with Mask R-CNN has a great efficiency in different conditions such as sunny, cloudy, weak light, and rainy conditions. In addition, the real video captured for traffic signs in Baghdad has been taken and compared to the German Traffic Signs Detection Benchmark (GTSDB) dataset. The IQTSDB dataset has a better performance than GTSDB dataset based on the performance parameters training loss and mean Average Precision (mAP).

The analysis was performed while participating and doing research in a project “Villages on the Move Go (VOMGO)” which is focused on one of the main objectives of EU sport policy: promote awareness and healthenhancing physical activity (HEPA). Motivation is widely-researched in sport psychology and other fields. Motivation for participation in sport is an important object of sport research, therefore it is important to apply reliable research tools. Aim of the research – to identify trends of “Fire Souls” motivational factors related to sport club establishment. Method. This paper analyses the results of open-ended questions, which are presented in quantitative terms (descriptive statistics) and statistical correlation analysis. Participants. The study involved 43 persons who are strongly related with the activities of sport clubs. They have established these clubs and are currently the enthusiasts of these clubs, as they represent them by participating or managing their activities, organizing various activities at the national and / or international level. In the “Villages on the Move Go” project and in this article, they are named as “Fire Souls”. Fire Souls are representing seven European countries: Finland, Lithuania, Cyprus, Slovenia, Hungary, Belgium and Portugal. All of the “Fire Souls” involved in this study were experts with extensive experiences in sport and physical activity. Results. The most frequently mentioned motivational factors for “Fire Souls” to run the sport clubs were participation in sport activities from childhood and search for innovative sport activities or benefits to the community. “Fire Souls” who once volunteered at the sport clubs practiced winter sports. The factor “personal life changes” is related to activities with vulnerable groups, implication of the sport education is related to gymnastics, acrobatics, active lifestyle and achievements are related with cycling. The factor “search for the innovative sport activities for the community” correlates with dancing, search for the innovative sport activities for the community is related with the occupation as physical education teacher. The most common motivational factors for men and women “Fire Souls” are participation in sport activities from childhood, search for innovative sport activities and benefits to the community. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors were almost indistinguishable from “Fire Souls” experience in sport activities. Conclusions. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors of “Fire Souls” determine sport and active leisure activities for individuals seeking professional and nonprofessional athletic performance, contributing to the promotion of public health and quality of life.

AbstractIn this paper we study global properties of the Wigner caustic of parameterized closed planar curves. We find new results on its geometry and singular points. In particular, we consider the Wigner caustic of rosettes, i.e. regular closed parameterized curves with non-vanishing curvature. We present a decomposition of a curve into parallel arcs to describe smooth branches of the Wigner caustic. By this construction we can find the number of smooth branches, the rotation number, the number of inflexion points and the parity of the number of cusp singularities of each branch. We also study the global properties of the Wigner caustic on shell (the branch of the Wigner caustic connecting two inflexion points of a curve). We apply our results to whorls—the important object to study the dynamics of a quantum particle in the optical lattice potential.

Abstract One strategy of communities to easily embrace ecological awareness is by involving directly in the improvement of their environmental quality. This paper discusses the case study research of the co-design process of the neighborhood regeneration project in Kampung Tongkol at the Ciliwung riverbank, Jakarta. This project is carried out collaboratively involving residents of the area and facilitated by ASF (Architecture Sans Frontières) Indonesia. The main important object of this regeneration project is the construction of a self-supporting sample house. This house aims as an ideal model which another neighborhood can replicate. Residents are directly involved in the organizing, the design process, to the construction stage. The primary purpose of regeneration is to improve the quality of the residential environment. The principles of sustainable design are employed as the main guidance from the beginning of the process. This study concludes that the final achievement of this project not only results in a higher quality environment but also raises the ecological awareness of the residents of the neighborhood.

In the circumstances of development and functioning of the innovative model of economy, and necessity of creation and introducing of new technics and advanced technologies in manufacture the patent law is of a great importance in the intellectual property law system. The issue of patent law has repeatedly been the subject of researches in the national civil law science, but the question of its objects still remains unresolved. Therefore, the task of this article is to determine the range of the objects protected by patent law, as well as to describe their features. The article draws attention to the existence of different approaches to understanding the concept of «patent» in national legislation and international acts. The invention is analyzed as the most important object of patent-law protection. The inexpediency of defining the invention and its objects by pointing to all fields of technology is emphasized. Regarding to the utility model, the latest legislative changes in the definition of its objects are analyzed, as well as, some considerations are expressed regarding the prospects of introducing the criterion of inventive step for it. As for the industrial design, taking into account the latest changes in the legislation in this area, it is stated that it is inexpedient to refer it to the objects of patent law. It is argued that a plant variety and a breed of animals as the results of selection cannot be attributed to the scope of patent law. It is emphasized that patent law should not be equated with industrial property law – the latter is a broader concept, which, in addition to the objects of patent law, also includes other categories of objects (industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications, etc.). It is concluded that the objects of patent law are inventions and utility models. In this regard, it is proposed in the process of recoding the rules on industrial designs to be allocated in a separate chapter of the Civil Code of Ukraine.

Deferred taxes are an important object of accounting observation to judge the degree of discrepancies between financial and tax accounting. Meanwhile, the information discloses to users the effects arising from the tax planning tools usage for corporate management and forecasting cash outflows associated with the payment of income tax in the future. The paper formalized two concepts of accounting for deferred taxes in the form of models: temporary and timing differences associated with accounting ideologies. The author ha structured the logic of reflecting deferred taxes on accounting accounts using the balance sheet and “cost” methods. Analysis of foreign experience and domestic practice made it possible to conclude that there are controversial issues on the assessment of deferred taxes in reporting, including at present value. Also, the author revealed discrepancies in Russian Accounting Standard (PBU) 18/02 which were conceptually different from a similar international standard and conflicting with it in a number of theoretical and methodological positions. The research results are aimed at scientific and practical workers in the field of financial accounting, taxation and audit.

Shifts in the bioclimatic range of Anchomenus dorsalis – specialized entomophage – were modeled in the MaxEntsoftware package and are presented on habitat maps. For the prediction, we used two climatic scenarios – mild (RCP2.6) and extreme (RCP8.5). Under the considered scenarios, the further warming would lead to shift and extension of the range to the north, northeast and east and decrease in the number of populations in the southern regions of Europe. The most important bioclimatic indicators which describe the geographic distribution of A. dorsalis are mean annual air temperature, mean daily amplitude of temperature for each month, overall amount of precipitations in the coldest quarter of the year, minimum temperature of the coldest month, mean temperature of the warmest quarter of the year, and annual amount of precipitations. Global warming causes the bioclimatic range of A. dorsalis to shift northeast and east in intracontinental territories, and west and northwest on islands. This species of ground beetle is an important object in monitoring of the condition of natural and agrarian ecosystems, sensitive to the growing global climate changes.  Poikilothermic animals may suffer from overheating, and even if they live far in the northern hemisphere, the ability of their organism to withstand increase in the environmental temperature is limited. Mild winters (with higher temperatures) may increase the mortality of A. dorsalis by exhausting their energy reserves.
