Nowadays, science education has been extensively criticized mainly due to the fact that teaching science procedures have not allowed the formation of individuals that use science knowledge to solve problems on their daily lives. The low quality of science education certainly is responsible for the stereotyped view that population has about science and scientist, and also for the inadequate conceptions about the nature of scientific knowledge.Consequently, the development of methodologies that can enhance the quality of science education are needed. In the present report, the effect of a short course (40 hours) based on the resolution of problems (and that can be classified as apprentice centered) of high-school teachers and students from Santa Maria and surroundings were evaluated. The Nature of Scientific Knowledge Scale (NSKS) was used and this scale is sub-divided in 6 conceptual subscale (amoral, creative, developmental, parsimonious, testable, and unified). The results showed that the experimental courses (muscle contraction, digestion, respiration, and photosynthesis), in which the apprentices are engaged in solving their own problems, improved the students and teachers understanding about the nature of scientific knowledge. The improvement on the test (NSKS) occurred predominantly within the creative subscale, presumably due to the fact that the apprentices had to be creative in order to solve the proposed or generated problems during the course. These results suggest that it would be useful to teachers in service (as well as preservice teachers) to experience problem-based and experimental courses, because a better understanding of the nature of scientific knowledge by science teachers certainly will improve science education, at least with regard to the high-school students understanding.

The Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic has a huge impact in every aspects of people's lives. One of the aspects is education. Currently, educational institutions are implementing online learning.  This research is about the issue of high school students' perception about online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research uses qualitative research with a case study method. The techniques used for data collection is interview. The  subjects of this research are students of SMA Santa Maria Medan based on their grade level. In this research, the researcher conduct an interview. The results showed that students of SMA Santa Maria Medan experienced difficulties during online learning. The difficulties faced is that high school students are required to independently understand the lessons that have been explained by the teacher, besides that unstable network is also considered as one of the factors that creates misunderstanding (miss communication) of the meaning received by students.  Students also find it so hard to interact with other students during online learning and students are not feeling motivated because the teacher learning system only provides material and assignments that absolutely makes students tired and bored of learning.

Introduction: Given the importance of adolescent health, especially for girls, and the inadequacy of dairy consumption around the world, there is a need to examine the psychological factors associated with dairy behavior. Therefore, this study was performed on high school girls. Methods: Descriptive-analytical research was performed on 385 female high school students in Shaft city in the academic year of 2019 in the census method. The survey questionnaire consisted of demographic information, knowledge structure, perceived self-efficacy, and dairy consumption behavior completed by students. To analyze the results, 21 SPSS software and Chi- Square tests, Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple logistic regression were used. Results:n total, 221 people (57.7%) consumed less than 2 units and 162 people (42.3) consumed more than 2 units per day of dairy products. The average score of self-efficacy structures was 23.20 ± 6.6 (average) and knowledge 19.1± 3.05 (at a good level). There was no significant correlation between perceived self-efficacy and dairy consumption behavior r = 0. 199, but significant p <0.05, and no significant correlation was observed between knowledge and behavior (p> 0.05, r =- 0.25). The results of multiple logistic regression showed the predictive power of the perceived self-efficacy structure in dairy consumption behavior with a chance ratio of 1.052 (with a confidence interval of 95%: 1.089-1.016). Conclusion:Understood self-efficacy predicted the behavior of dairy consumption in the students studied, educational interventions in schools should focus more on promoting perceptions and nutritional attitudes.

A modification of the Paired-Stimuli Parent Program (Florance, 1977) was adapted for the treatment of articulatory errors of visually handicapped children. Blind high school students served as clinical aides. A discussion of treatment methodology, and the results of administrating the program to 32 children, including a two-year follow-up evaluation to measure permanence of behavior change, is presented.

Summary: This article describes a triarchic analysis of an aptitude-treatment interaction in a college-level introductory-psychology course given to selected high-school students. Of the 326 total participants, 199 were selected to be high in analytical, creative, or practical abilities, or in all three abilities, or in none of the three abilities. The selected students were placed in a course that either well matched or did not match their pattern of analytical, creative, and practical abilities. All students were assessed for memory, analytical, creative, and practical achievement. The data showed an aptitude-treatment interaction between students' varied ability patterns and the match or mismatch of these abilities to the different instructional groups.

This study examined how social opportunity structure influences identity exploration and commitment of Albanian high school students. A total of 258 students completed a questionnaire that gauged their identity exploration and commitment in three domains: education, occupation, and family. ANOVA results indicated that, overall, students scored highest in exploration in the domain of education and in commitment in the domain of family. Students' exploration and commitment were linked to gender. Albanian female students scored higher than male students in exploration and commitment regarding education and family. Perceived work opportunities in Albania or abroad also significantly moderated participants' exploration in the domain of education and were associated with commitment in education and occupation. As one of the first studies to explore Albanian youth's identity development in relation to social opportunity structure, findings are discussed in light of furthering the field of Albanian adolescent and youth development.
