Letters to the Editor
Editing of advertising for publication in Pediatrics begins in the office of the Executive Director, to whom all such copy is regularly submitted. Some advertisements are stopped there as clearly unacceptable; others, considered questionable, are sent to appropriate members of the Editorial Board and to the Editor for additional opinion. These procedures have their effects. Thus, the Executive Director reported to the Editorial Board at its October 25, 1965, meeting that in the 12 months ending June 30, 1965, 25 advertisements were rejected (as compared to 20 during the previous 12 months).
