The results of many years of research on the cultivation of crops in fodder crop rotation on dried peat soil are presented. A productive and agroecological assessment of crop rotation with various saturation with perennial grasses is given. The data on the reduction of peat reserves and changes in the agrochemical properties of the soil are presented.

AbstractThe post-anthropogenic and soil cover transformations of former agricultural soils on the abandoned lands in the Russian Arctic territory are poorly investigated due to the active growth of the city complexes and increasing area occupied by agricultural lands. That is lead to an increase in the area of the arable lands surrounding the polar urbanized territories. Today, most of that land allocated for agricultural needs has been abandoned or affected by other types of land use. This study aimed to investigate the abandoned lands surrounding some of the settlements in the central part of the Yamal region. The soil diversity, morphology, and chemical and agrochemical properties were investigated with special reference to the specific transformations that occur to fallow lands under permafrost-affected cryogenic-ecosystem conditions. Analysis of data show that these soils are characterized by features relating to both, previous (and existing), anthropogenic impacts and natural processes such as cryogenic mass transfer. The degradation of the arable humus-enriched horizon was not as pronounced as it has been in more humid boreal environments over recent decades. The organic carbon content in topsoil depends on the land use and varied considerably among the soil types. The former arable topsoil horizon has been stable over time in terms of its morphological features and agrochemical state. Despite the high soil acidity levels, thenutrient content in the anthropogenically impacted soils was still high, even though being abandoned for 20 years.

Fundamental reforms are being carried out in many spheres of the national economy in our republic. In particular, the development of the agricultural sector in the liberated territories is one of the main goals today. It is very important to reorganize the agrarian sector on the basis of the adopted laws, to use lands efficiently, and to organize agricultural land management in a modern form. The article studied the agrochemical properties of meadow-gray soils in the territory of Aghdam region and determined that the 0-100 cm layer of soils is poorly supplied with common and active forms of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements. Key words: Mil-Garabagh, Ağdam district, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, meadow-gray soils, cadastre, fertility

Ecological and agrochemical certification of farm land and forage landof such agriculturalenterprises as LLC «Zhyva Zemlia Potutory» in the village of Potutory, Berezhany district, Ternopil region and LLC «Krona» in the village of Zhukiv, Berezhany district, Ternopil region has been conducted. Soil has been characterized according to the content of humus, nitrogen (which is easily hydrolyzed), moving phosphorus, exchange potassium, moving type of sulphur as well as according to the soil acidity (pH and hydrolytic). The dynamics of weight indices of the main agrochemical characteristics of ashen–gray soil have been determined. It has been determined, that the indices have greater variability at the level of a separate field and it is less at the level of an enterprise. Having analyzed the indices of the agrochemical state of the soil of farm land and forage land of such agricultural enterprises as LLC «Zhyva Zemlia Potutory» in the village of Potutory, Berezhany district,  Ternopil region and LLC “Krona”in the village of Zhukiv, Berezhany district, Ternopil region, is has been determined, that the soil have satisfactory agrochemical properties and are characterized by optimum conditions for growing crops and obtaining full value yields. The limiting factor is low content of  nitrogen, which is easily hydrolyzed.
