Among archaeological assemblages recovered both from settlement sites and burial grounds, the presence of ceramics with traces of secondary burning is a relatively common phenomenon. The identification of such traces can nuance the interpretation of the archaeological contexts within which these ceramics occur. In case of cremation burials, it can highlight the details of the cremation process. However, most publications seem to mention secondarily burnt ceramics either when the pieces are clearly severely burnt, deformed or blistered, despite these cases being only partial representations of the whole phenomenon. Based on previous experience, three levels of secondary burning can be distinguished on archaeological ceramics: slight, moderate and severe secondary burning. This more detailed classification could aid the reconstruction of funerary rituals. The recognition and the correct identification of such ceramic pieces can provide details on whether a certain vessel (or vessel types) was/were placed on the funeral pyre or was only tangentially involved in the cremation process.

Conti: One of the main conclusions of the Wolf-Rayet symposium in Buenos Aires was that Wolf-Rayet stars are evolutionary products of massive objects. Some questions:–Do hot helium-rich stars, that are not Wolf-Rayet stars, exist?–What about the stability of helium rich stars of large mass? We know a helium rich star of ∼40 MO. Has the stability something to do with the wind?–Ring nebulae and bubbles : this seems to be a much more common phenomenon than we thought of some years age.–What is the origin of the subtypes? This is important to find a possible matching of scenarios to subtypes.

The article analyzes social and economic factors that provide Russian attorneys an opportunity to compensate the institutional weakness of their profession, to protect the independency and effectively defend the interests of the clients. As an indicator of dependent position of attorney we use the proportion of cases with plea bargaining. Using the date of representative nationwide survey of 3317 attorneys in Russia we conclude that the independence of attorney is associated with‘resources for confrontation’: previous experience, client’s demand for legal services, communication with colleagues and membership in professional associations.

Anxiety during a speaking performance is a common phenomenon experienced by any EFL learners, including students majoring in English. Focusing on the issue, this study investigates the correlation between students’ foreign language speaking anxiety and speaking achievement. Moreover, this study also observes the levels and the sources of the speaking anxiety among the English Department’s fifth-semester students of Universitas Airlangga. This study used the Foreign Language Speaking Anxiety Scale (FLSAS) by Öztürk and Gurbuz (2014). The FLSAS questionnaire was distributed to 114 students in order to explore the correlation between speaking anxiety and speaking achievement, the speaking anxiety levels, and the speaking anxiety sources. The data collected through questionnaire were analyzed with SPSS 25.0. Pearson Product Moment Correlation isused to determine the correlation, while descriptive statistic alanalys is isused to investigate the levels and the sources for speaking anxiety. Horwitz, Horwitzand Cope’s(1986) theory and Horwitz and Young (1991) about the source and the levels of foreign language speaking anxiety are also used in this study. This study found that there is a significant negative correlation between speaking anxiety levels and speaking achievement. This means the higher the speaking anxiety they experience, the lower the achievement score they get. Most of the students have moderate levels of speaking anxiety, which is mainly due to the fear of negative evaluation.This study indicates that although the EFL learners are often exposed to English, they still experience speaking anxiety. These findings suggest that the lecturers should be more aware of students’ anxiety and use strategies that might encourage the students to speak more confidently.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as queixas de nutrizes que buscaram atendimento em um BLH e fatores associados.Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, analítico, transversal, retrospectivo, cuja população é composta por 1.709 nutrizes quebuscaram atendimento no período de Janeiro a Dezembro de 2016. Para a coleta de dados, utilizaram-se as fichas deatendimento do BLH. As principais queixas que levaram as nutrizes a buscarem atendimento no BLH relacionam-se àdificuldade com a técnica de amamentação (41,9%) e a problemas mamários, como o ingurgitamento mamário (27,1%) eo trauma mamilar (18,1%). A necessidade de auxílio na técnica de amamentação esteve associada às seguintes condiçõesrelativas à nutriz: ser procedente da capital (p=0,001), apresentar mais de oito anos de estudo (p=0,040), ter uma ocupação (p=0,010), ser primípara (p=<0,001), optar pela realização de parto cesárea (p=<0,001) e ter experiência préviacom amamentação (p=0,004). Houve associação entre ingurgitamento mamário e primiparidade (p=0,038), além do fatode a nutriz ter contado com o apoio ao aleitamento materno na maternidade (p=0,021). O estudo possibilitou verificar aimportância dos BLH no processo de lactação, um período em que as mulheres ficam ansiosas, necessitam de informaçõesconfiáveis e apresentam muitas queixas em relação à lactação.PALAVRAS-CHAVES : Aleitamento materno, Bancos de leite, Saúde da mulher. Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the complaints of lactating mothers who sought care in a HMB and associatedfactors. It is a descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective study, whose population is composed of 1.709 lactating mothers whosought care in the period from January to December the 2016. For the data collection, were used the service records ofthe HMB. The main complaints that led the lactating mothers to seek care at HMB were related to the difficulty with thebreastfeeding technique (41.9%) and to breast problems, such as breast engorgement (27.1%) and nipple trauma (18,1%). Theneed for breastfeeding technique was associated to the following nutrient conditions: coming from the capital (p = 0.001),presenting more than eight years of study (p = 0.040), having an occupation (p = 0.010), being primiparous (p = <0.001), optfor cesarean (p = 0.001) and to have previous experience with breastfeeding (p = 0.004). There was an association betweenbreast engorgement and primiparity (p = 0.038), in addition to the fact that the mother had support for breastfeeding in thematernity ward (p = 0.021). Code-switching is a common phenomenon in bilingual communities, but little is known about bilingual parents’ code-switching when speaking to their infants. In a pre-registered study, we identified instances of code-switching in day-long at-home audio recordings of 21 French–English bilingual families in Montreal, Canada, who provided recordings when their infant was 10 and 18 months old. Overall, rates of infant-directed code-switching were low, averaging 7 times per hour (6 times per 1,000 words) at 10 months and increasing to 28 times per hour (18 times per 1,000 words) at 18 months. Parents code-switched more between sentences than within a sentence; this pattern was even more pronounced when infants were 18 months than when they were 10 months. The most common apparent reasons for code-switching were to bolster their infant’s understanding and to teach vocabulary words. Combined, these results suggest that bilingual parents code-switch in ways that support successful bilingual language acquisition.
