Optimal principles of energy efficient management of natural gas transport using electric drive units along gas pipelines based on the existing regulatory and technical documentation are considered. The methodologi-cal basis of the control principles is the apparatus of the theory of experiment planning and invariant systems using strategies of low-population technologies and intelligent electric drive systems. The scheme and modern technical means of frequency-controlled electric drives and algorithms for optimal control of the main techno-logical units of compressor stations of the main gas transportation are presented, which ensure the stabiliza-tion of the parameters of the pumped gas at the optimal level.

This paper examines the main requirements for the electric drive systems of a class of boring machines with digital program control. On this basis, a methodology for choice of the spindle drives is offered. The algorithm takes into account the specific features of the technological processes, the treated materials, the tools used and their wear, as well as the mechanical gear types. The experimental studies of the implemented electric drives for the spindle are presented and discussed. The research carried out and the results obtained can be used in the development of such drives for the studied class of machine tools.

<p>In the paper describes the AC electric drive, which consists of the induction motor and the semiconductor converter. Structure of the frequency converter, which includes a three-phase bridge inverter on based fully controlled transistors, is considered. The algorithm of pulse width modulation, which used in the majority of the electric drives, is discussed. The characteristics and shortcomings of the algorithm is shows. Algorithmically methods to improve the efficiency of the inverter – promodulation control signal. The efficiency of this method in different variations is given. The level electromagnetic compatibility inverter and efficiency various control algorithms are analyzed. The conclusions about feasibility of using the method promodulation.</p>

The authors present the study of synthesis methods for simulating the models of semiconductor rectifiers. Simulation of semiconductor rectifiers is quite studied today, but many authors carry out synthesis in their own unique way. The need to apply high technologies in variable speed drives with the development of mechanisms and working machines is growing, the automated variable speed drive is being introduced increasingly, making the energy substrate for aggregates and working machines. The relevance of this work is explained by the fact that currently developing technologies make it possible to manufacture more advanced semiconductor elements. The more relevant and significant is the study of refined digital models of electric drives containing semiconductor converters. This paper will summarize known approaches to the development of rectifiers’ digital models, as well as it will offer the authors’ own vision of this issue – taking into account as many individual features of semiconductor elements and the entire electric drive system as a whole as possible. The option proposed for consideration differs in that when developing in Matlab environment the parameters of real existing power elements and their digital analogues are consistent. The article also examines the issue of creating a digital model of the electric drive reverse system including a thyristor transducer and an engine; the transition characteristics of the refined model are illustrated. The result of this study is the analysis of different approaches to modeling semiconductor converters in electric drive systems. In this regard, a refined approach to modeling semiconductor rectifiers was considered, consisting of maximizing approximation of the model structure to real implementation, taking into account all elements, included in the structure of the ventilated electric drive. The study suggests that the developed simulation models can be used for the design of a real power converter in the conditions of a production enterprise.

AbstractEnergy aspects are fundamental to the design of electric drive systems. This article describes energy performance for asynchronous electric drives based on various control methods. These electric drives comparison shows that vector control methods have a significant advantage over scalar control methods. The asynchronous electric drive mathematical description is based on vector control theory and main component method. Equations, obtained by mathematical description, allow calculating of the currents, voltages and electric power at the output when the electromagnetic torque and speed machine are set. Energy characteristics of the asynchronous drive were obtained with the use of the MATLAB-SIMULINK simulation program.

The main negative factors affecting the starting modes of synchronous electric drives of pumping units of irrigation water supply systems were identified, computer simulation of direct and soft start of synchronous electric drive was made, the simulation results are shown in graphs and a brief conclusion was made on the study.
