A miniature sorting of material quality has been made, aided by a prototype of the controller system based on the Mitsubishi FX1N-24MR Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). A number of stages include the manufacture of the conveyor system unit, the electrical system, PLC programming, and performance measurement. The conveyor unit assembling was processed by installing the conveyor belt, dc motor, pneumatic cylinder, solenoid valve, and sensors. The electrical system is an integration of the Mitsubishi FX1N-24MR PLC, switched-mode power supply, miniature circuit breaker (MCB), dc voltage regulator circuit, relays, digital counters, pushbuttons, and selector switches arranged in a 20 x 30 x 15 cm panel box. Mitsubishi PLC system programming is based on algorithmic determination and ladder diagram arrangement assisted by GX Developer (GX Work). Performance measurement in the form of pulse readings is carried out by setting and manufacturing ladder counters and shift registers to count the number of pulses for each material and the accuracy of sorting when the material is detected simultaneously. The system performance is indicated by pulse reading accuracy and sorting timing accuracy. The reading of the pulse from the proximity switch affects the counter calculation to activate the pneumatic cylinder unit in sorting. Sorting for material-A takes 11 pulses, while for material-B, it takes 19 pulses. The synchronization measurement functions when an error occurs in the system in order to maintain the input received is the same as the output in the PLC-based control system.

Programmable logic controllers (PLC) have been one of the most widely used controllers in industry. They have a graphical programming language interface resambling the relay panels which they are intended to replace so that the transition from relay panels might be swift and smooth. Although learning this programming language is easy, real life experiments are essential for students to gain greater understanding of the logic behind the language. However, it is generally too expensive to provide an experimental set-up for students to test their theoretical knowledge. For this reason, a conveyor and feeder system was developed as a low cost 3D printable design using a CAD program and implemented for use in a control laboratory. Using this conveyor set-up, students can experience how to program a practical example of a PLC devices used in industry together with an introduction to actuators and sensors. Reading actual sensors and using actuators via the inputs and outputs of a PLC to control a real life system will be far more effective than simulator alternatives.

This article investigates an inverted pendulum on a mobile cart (mobile inverted pendulum) controlled via a programmable logic controller and actuated by a double-acting pneumatic cylinder. The study is conducted both theoretically, by modeling and simulating the entire system, and experimentally, using a specially developed test bench. Four low-cost 2/2 proportional valves are used for cylinder control. The control architecture consists of two nested control loops with proportional–integral–derivative compensators. To reduce cost, a programmable logic controller was used to manage both the system control and data acquisition. The results of the simulations carried out using linear and nonlinear models of the system were validated by comparison with those obtained experimentally.

Hendy Pradika, Moediyono, in paper thermal overload relay as a overload safety in miniature of substation based on programmable logic controller (PLC) CP1E-E40DR-A  explain that at the substation there is a protective device that is very vital function, which we often refer breaker Power (PMT) or also called Circuit Breaker (CB). The function of the PMT itself is to connect or disconnect current / power corresponding branches if there is interference in substations or other transmission device or in the event of overload. At the substation's miniature PMT function is replaced by a contactor that functions more or less the same. Contactor performance is governed by OMRON CP1E PLC-E40DR-A which had previously received input from the Thermal Overload Relay in the event of overload. Thermal Overload Relay works on the principle of expansion and bimetal objects. When exposed to high current object, then the object will expand so it will bend and break the current. Excessive current will generate heat, so it can bend bimetal.Hal object will cause the contactor is connected to the Thermal Overload Relay will decide the electric current through the contactor. With this tool, we can realize the expected electric power system more secure in terms of security and reliability so as not to harm humans and the environment. Keywords: substations, protection, PMT, overload, contactors, Thermal Overload Relay, Omron PLC CP1E-E40DR-A

Abstract. To this day, researchers are debating the adequacy of using financial incentives to bolster performance in work settings. Our goal was to contribute to current understanding by considering the moderating role of distributive justice in the relation between financial incentives, motivation, and performance. Based on self-determination theory, we hypothesized that when bonuses are fairly distributed, using financial incentives makes employees feel more competent and autonomous, which in turn fosters greater autonomous motivation and lower controlled motivation, and better work performance. Results from path analyses in three samples supported our hypotheses, suggesting that the effect of financial incentives is contextual, and that compensation plans using financial incentives and bonuses can be effective when properly managed.
