Setelah melalui revisi, desain meteri pembelajaran Sosiologi dianggap bermanfaat dan dapat digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar Kata Kunci: Perangkat pembelajaran, mata pelajaran Sosiologi, siswa Madrasah Aliyah Abstract [Tittle: The Development of Sosiology Instructional Material for The Students fo Islamic Senior High School] . The research aims at developing a set of instructional material for teaching Sociology in order to motivate the students. The researcher employed a research and developing method to formulate a product and to measure its effectiveness through validation and trial-out by the experts of content-material and material-design. There were three types of trial to test the design; one to one, small group, and field test. Based on the test result, it was found that students in average can achieve 84% of overall score which indicate that the designed material is effective. After being revised several times in each stage, the design of instructional material for Sociology subject is considered as beneficial and able to be used in the teaching learning process

IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARANPENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DENGAN PENDEKATANKONTEKSTUAL SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KUALITASPEMBELAJARAN DI SMP NEGERI 13 KOTA MALANGOleh :Romlah *)Fakultas Agama Islam UMMABSTRACTIslamic Education teaching and learning process considerably applied traditional teaching modelsresulting low student’s interest in the subject. It influenced the internalization of Islamic Educationvalues to students. According to the above background, contextual approach was assumed to create amore meaningful and effective teaching and learning process. The study revealed that most teachersdeveloped instructional material merely based on Teacher Association for Islamic EducationReference, a discrepancy between lesson plan and the implementation was found due to insufficienttime and too-much material, and a problem in applying various methods was found due to student’sbasic competence diversity ranging from the 75-80% to 20-25% mastery creating less conduciveatmosphere for effective teaching and learning process. Accordingly, Islamic Education teachersneeded to review the previous materials using questioning technique and point particular students toanswer the questions during the review time to attract more attention. Keywords: Implementation of IslamicEducation Teaching Model, ContextualApproach, Improving the Teaching andLearning Process

The need to retrieval specific information on videos and find complementary content in large databases has become notorious given the amount of media that are produced and stored at every moment. In this scenario, education also has encountered in the ease of production of novel instructional material a way to disseminate knowledge. On the other hand, it is not easy to retrieval such materials in large repositories. To expand the possibilities of the user to find resources of interest, this paper proposes an approach to identify similar resources in instructional resources repositories through the use of DBpedia categorizations. A benchmark composed by video lessons from Rede Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa (Brazilian National Educational and Research Network) was used to evaluate the approach.

Under achiever pupils were found to have low motivation level in learning mathematics. Pupils avoid Trigonometry and consider this topic as tough for them to master. The objective of this research is to measure under achiever motivation level towards Teaching and Learning (T&L) Trigonometry II topic using GeoGebra Learning Module (GLM). This research has used explanatory mixed methods which is survey and interview to answer the research questions. Pupils were exposed to GLM in Trigonometry II topics for a duration of two weeks. Motivation level are measured using questionnaire adapted from Instructional Material Motivational Scale (IMMS). Five pupils then were interviewed by the researcher to gauge pupils motivation towards GLM. Respondents are from 21 under achiever pupils from one intact class in Muar, Johor. Data analysis showed overall pupils’ motivation level are high (M = 4.16, SD = .279). The level of motivation of pupils for each subscale in ascending order is the Confidence (M = 3.92, SD = .268), Relevant (M = 4.07, SD = .357), Attention (M = 4.25, SD = .320), and Satisfaction (M = 4.50, SD = .436). Girls are significantly motivated [t (19) = 2,401, p <0.05, r = 1.07] compared to boys in using GLM. Result from the interviews were found similar to the surveys result. Pupils were found to be attracted to self access learning concept and slider function in the learning process. It is recommended that mathematics teachers should use GeoGebra by developing learning module that combine mathematics dynamic software and written module to help under achiever pupils further improve their motivation in T&L.
