Plasticizers are the binding substances used to increase the elasticity of materials. In this research work, bioplastic is extracted from banana peels using various plasticizers such as, glycerol, urea, distilled water and glucose. The prepared bioplastics were characterized by using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectroscopic analysis which showed that the peak at 3355 cm-1 indicate the H-bonding formation between N-H urea and starch. The physicochemical properties such as water absorption test, soil decomposition and load test of synthesized bioplastics were analyzed at ambient temperature. The water uptake analysis showed that bioplastic absorbs water for up to 4 days without being decay. The load test showed that urea plasticized bioplastic has a high tensile strength of 2.3 KPa. The result revealed that the bioplastic with glucose as a plasticizer showed the effective result in water uptake and soil decomposition test whereas the urea plasticized bioplastic showed relatively good tensile strength.

Aflatoxins represent aggressive group of mycotoxins. They are really toxic, carcinogenic and dangerous for human health. There are mechanical, physical and chemical methods for their detoxification. Aflatoxins could be also neutralized by means of various adsorbents as well. We do some research work in the direction of aflatoxin adsorption by presence of lignin, which is quite affordable and gives an effective result.

Spirulina sp. is the most common cyanobacteria commodity used in the bioindustry for functional food, source of protein, bioactive compounds, and biopigment. Production of Spirulina sp. still facing several problems such as high cost of culture medium with the less effective result, especially in developing countries. The medium was modified with commercial chemicals and fertilizers locally available in Indonesia to reduce the production cost. This study aimed to assess the biological, technical, and financial feasibility of Spirulina sp. biomass production using a modified commercial medium. Based on the biological feasibility study, the modified commercial medium (ZK1 and ZK2) gives a similar result to the standard medium, equal for growth rate and protein content. However, the result contains lower fat, carbohydrates, and biopigment. The financial feasibility analysis suggested that the system is feasible starting from 1.2-1.5 kg biomass production in a month. The best result gained on the production capacity of 5 kg biomass using ZK2 medium, with NPV of IDR 183,208,962 (US$12,769), IRR of 73%, B/C ratio of 7.8, and payback period in 7 months. It can be concluded that modified commercial medium was biologically, technically, and financially feasible to be applied in industrial biomass production of Spirulina sp.

Classification of fruits is a growing research topic in image processing. Various papers propose various techniques to deal with the classification of apples. However, some traditional classification methods remain drawbacks to producing an effective result with the big dataset. Inspired by deep learning in computer vision, we propose a novel learning method to construct a classification model, which can classify types of apples quickly and accurately. To conduct our experiment, we collect datasets, do preprocessing, train our model, tune parameter settings to get the highest accuracy results, then test the model using new data. Based on the experimental results, the classification model of green apples and red apples can obtain good accuracy with little loss. Therefore, the proposed model can be a promising solution to deal with apple classification.

Abstract We shall consider sections of a complex elliptic scheme ℰ {{{\mathcal{E}}}} over an affine base curve B, and study the points of B where the section takes a torsion value. In particular, we shall relate the distribution in B of these points with the canonical height of the section, proving an integral formula involving a measure on B coming from the so-called Betti map of the section. We shall show that this measure is the same one which appears in dynamical issues related to the section. This analysis will also involve the multiplicity with which a torsion value is attained, which is an independent problem. We shall prove finiteness theorems for the points where the multiplicity is higher than expected. Such multiplicity has also a relation with Diophantine Approximation and quasi-integral points on ℰ {{{\mathcal{E}}}} (over the affine ring of B), and in Sections 5 and 6 of the paper we shall exploit this viewpoint, proving an effective result in the spirit of Siegel’s theorem on integral points.

The object of this research is personnel management in the hotel industry. The paper considers theoretical and practical aspects of the features of phased personnel management in the hotel industry, taking into account the specifics of the industry. The importance of the attitude of each employee to their responsibilities and the company as a whole was emphasized, and it was established that the minimum number of employees can provide the highest quality of service. In any case, there is a need for effective personnel management, in the purposeful activities of the management of the organization to develop its own concept, strategy of personnel policy and management methods. The main purpose of personnel management is formed. There are three groups of methods for personnel management, which almost completely reveal the step-by-step process of personnel management in the hotel industry. The necessity of application of complex technologies for achievement of more effective result is considered. A number of measures of nine stages of personnel management are prescribed. Rational use of service personnel is a prerequisite that ensures the continuity and proper quality of the service process, and, as a consequence, the successful implementation of the production program of the hotel industry. The study of the main indicators of labor should begin with an assessment of the dynamics of the number of personnel of the enterprise, the intensity of its movement and structure over a period of three to five years. Based on the study, a model of personnel management in the hotel industry, which determines the object and subject of management, their impact on each other, takes into account the stages of employee management. It will increase productivity, performance, organize work, monitor performance tasks, teamwork.

Ethical awareness is vital for business organizations to gain the trust of customers and the sustenance of business. Inner purification is a prerequisite for developing ethical personification, thus, helping an individual demonstrate the culmination of morality. At the same time, we need to transform self-purification into organizational behaviour. In this case, Usul-e-Sab’a (the seven principles) originated by “Khatam ul Awliya '' Gauth al-Azam Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Ahmad Ullah (R.) can play a vital role. The seven principles’ methods can assist the business community to bring business sustenance through awakening morality and ethics. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to bring sustainability in the business and in the organizational behaviour through Usul-e-Sab’a (the seven principles) which is an effective method of self-purification and also the attainment of morality. In order to draw an effective result, the exploratory research design has been applied. For collecting data, a survey questionnaire was developed and was administered to the chosen traders. The findings of the study show business sustainability of those SME traders have been increased who practice ethics for their business. The study will assist the trader’s community, in general, to build up a moral life and organize their business with honesty and integrity.

The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) Directorate of Higher Education issued Circular No. 1 of 2020 regarding the prevention of the spread of covid 19 in the world of education, in which the Kemendikbud instructs the Ministry of Education and Culture to conduct distance learning and advises students to study from their respective homes. This study aims to determine the perception of IAIN Kudus’s Tadris Biologi Students regarding the implementation of online learning. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The result of this study are the perception of most student towards the use of media shows effective result, students understand the mechanism of online learning but find it difficult in online learning because of the obstacles they face, namely te difficulty of internet acces, and student are not enthusiastic in learning because they do not like online learning. So it can be concluded that judging from the 3 indicators used, namely learninf media, obstacles faced and student enthusiasm, student perception are quite good. With this research, it is hoped that there will be an increase in the enthusiasm of students so that online learning can run well and can understand the learning material as a whole.
