Virtual reality (VR) based therapy is an alternative technique available for stress treatment. In this technique, virtual reality is used as a tool to assist users to reduce stress and induce relaxation. Many previous literatures published have acknowledged the effectiveness of virtual reality based therapy as compared to other techniques such as breathing exercise and imagination. However, previous studies available only focused on proving the effectiveness of virtual reality application in reducing stress, but are lacking discussions on factors that should be taken into consideration when designing its virtual environment. In previous study, initial framework containing possible factors to be considered when designing virtual environment for stress therapy has been proposed. In this paper, an expert review was conducted to validate the usefulness of the identified factors. Findings from the validation process has resulted in the improved version of the initial framework and their application in virtual environment.

This paper discusses about comparing different sound types used in stress therapy among Malaysians. The aim of the stress therapy is to reduce stress among users, thus a virtual reality environment was used which replaces the traditional guided therapy sessions. Two sessions were conducted at different timings; each session using different sound type, (zikr and classical music). By the end of each session, comparisons of stress level were made. Stress therapy with zikr as background sound produced better impact on reducing stress level among participants. This paper focuses on the effect of sound towards reducing stress.

Given that stresshas affected many people and is becoming an important issue to address, the development of an application that can help people to relax and therefore reduce stress is becoming important. One of the solutions is the use of virtual reality (VR) in stress therapy. In this paper, we evaluate a virtual reality application developed for stress therapy, and highlighted the issues associated with such application. Based on the issues, we proposed a component framework which can be used to develop a VR application for stress therapy which provides holistic experience to the users.

Abstract. In this paper, we analysed and tested the possibilities for the use of low-cost VR (Virtual Reality) headsets, with a focus on cartographic visualization. Low-cost devices were compared and classified into three categories (low-end, mid-range and high-end). We also created a pilot virtual environment, called “Carthoreality”, and conducted simple pilot user testing using this virtual environment and the three low-end headsets. Our pilot test shows a few drawbacks to these devices, including weight of the headset and penetrating light. Some problems in terms of user aspects were also identified, such as nausea while wearing headsets or disorientation after removing them, which occurred for all users.

Virtual reality is a combination of technology that are used to visualize and provide interaction with virtual environment. These environment often depict three-dimensional space which could be realistic or imaginary. One of the problem to build a virtual reality application is not yet available an approach as development lifecycle to build this virtual reality application. In this study we implement a software development project management approach which is Scrum to build a virtual reality application to be a new media for learning English. The goal is to find out how this system development approach is providing a new guide as a project management to build virtual reality application right from the project started, until the application is reach production stage or final release. Also in this study we using the unity 3D to create the virtual environment and C# as the backend programming language to build a mobile application which is made this virtual application is build using cross platform mobile development. The study concludes that mobile learning applications increase student motivation and place students as the main subject in English Lessons to support the teaching and learning process in an educational context.

Abstract. In the context of this paper, a virtual reality application that allows each user to perform basic topographic processes on an already created 3D model inside a virtual environment was developed. Specifically, it is an application that allows the user to perform measurements of distances between two points in three-dimensional space and measurement and extraction of the three-dimensional coordinates of any point inside the virtual reality environment. Furthermore, the created application was evaluated in terms of its functionality, its usability and metric accuracy. Before the developing stage a research was done in order to determine which virtual reality system and which game engine is most suitable to use and finally the HTC Vive® virtual reality system and the Unreal Engine 4 game engine were used. Before all that, the concept of the virtual reality science was defined and also the virtual reality technologies in today's world were analyzed.
