The purpose of this research paper was to find the impact of the supply chain on firm performance in Textile firm of Pakistan. Data was collected through questioners in the month of March 2018, Approximately 30 questioners were distributed among the managers of the ten textile organizations in Faisalabad which are expected to have the best knowledge about the supply chain operations and its impact on the performance of the organization, all of them responded positively. It is found that dimensions associated with SCM methods as well as explain the connection amongst SCM methods, aggressive benefit, as well as firm performance. The actual study focuses on the causal associations in between SCM exercise, aggressive benefit as well as firm performance as well as ignores the actual feasible recursive associations.

ABSTRACT Purpose: The study aims to explore and describe the mediation of green marketing in the relationship between supply chain management and corporate performance. Originality/gap/relevance/implications: The prior intention was to fill an epistemological gap about green marketing. The presence of green marketing in regression decreases the magnitude of the relationship between supply chain management and performance in Brazilian construction companies. Key methodological aspects: The study was carried out using quantitative method with exploratory and descriptive purposes. An exploratory research was conducted through in-depth interviews with ten managers working in the construction business. A descriptive survey involved the application of a questionnaire answered by a sample of 133 respondents. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, linear regression and structural equation modeling. Summary of key results: Data showed that green marketing mediates, in part, the relationship between supply chain management and corporate performance. Key considerations/conclusions: As theoretical implications, the study reinforces positive correlations between the constructs used in the surveyed sector. It resorted to models previously developed that, combined, could be reproduced or falsified, in order to obtain, finally, convergent measurement models. As a practical application, it identified the involvement of employees in environmental issues, missions and visions with explicit statements on energy and water saving and green marketing initiatives to improve the corporate image, such as obtaining environmental certifications. In conclusion, it appears that the civil construction companies have room to improve the communication and image to stimulate both the supply and consumption of green products.

This paper examines whether companies’ sustainable supply chain efforts are related to the companies’ corporate governance and economic performance. Data from Bloomberg’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Financial Analysis (FA) databases were used to empirically test the relationships. The paper is an effort to contribute to the body of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) literature by being amongst the first in India to use the secondary data source for investigating financial and corporate governance (CG) benefits’ association with social and green supply chain management practices. After collecting data of Indian manufacturing companies listed in the Bloomberg’s ESG terminal, we first tested the relationship of the three ESG factors: environmental, social and governance with the companies economic returns (ER). In the next level, we extended the study to find whether firms’ CG initiatives mediate the relationship of green supply chain management (GSCM) and socially responsible supply chain management (SRSCM) practices with the firms’ ER. In the study, it was observed that CG activities mediate the relationship between SRSCM and ER whereas it has a negligible mediation effect on the association between GSCM and ER.

Contracts are a formal mode of governing interorganizational relationships. They specify the terms and conditions of the agreement between two parties, interpret and adapt the relevant legal and industrial norms, serve as framing devices, and establish the rules and norms underpinning the relationship. The objective of this chapter is to synthesize the extant literature on interorganizational contracting to guide future research and practice. This chapter focuses on the three phases of contracting: (1) designing the contracting portfolio; (2) negotiating initial contracts; and (3) managing the relationship using contracts. The chapter explores the key decisions in each phase and the criteria involved in making these decisions. In doing so, it draws on existing research and theoretical frameworks that have contributed to the development of the contracting literature. The chapter also identifies some important and interesting directions for future contracting research and offers suggestions regarding how selected theoretical lenses might guide these endeavors. The principal conclusion is that while the existing research has primarily focused on the structural issues guiding contracting design, a more processual, social, and behavioral focus is required in future developments of the contracting literature.
