Abstract The aim of this paper is to present aspects of mathematical modeling for the hierarchization of study programs from universities, based on several quality characteristics. The tools used pertain to multicriterial optimization, to the different methods of assessing importance coefficients, to the utility theory, the fuzzy formalism, and to the fuzzy simple additive weighting method. The conclusion is that multicriterial decision-making methods can be efficiently used in assessing the quality of study programs, noting that, just like other methods from the decision theory, the multicriterial decision-making methods highlight aspects of problems differently, therefore, there can be no comparison or competitiveness between them, and choosing one over the other is up to the decision-maker.

Maintaining the required cut height minimizes losses and ensures continuous shoe contact with the surface. Thus the excessive pressure of the shoe destroys the stubble and leads to its accelerated wear, and insufficient pressure is accompanied by increased losses and provokes the galloping of the header. An analytical solution to the problem of modeling the mechanism of the KPP-4.2 hanging is an iterative execution of the analysis procedures based on the formed hypothesis, as well as the procedures of comparison and selection of options in the procedure of parametric synthesis. It is a choice of a combination of internal parameters of the flattening device, which, while satisfying the functional limitations, simultaneously stabilize the whole mechanism. A study and analysis of the hanging mechanism of a mower-conditioner trailed KPP-4.2 using methods of theoretical mechanics, differential and integral calculus, probability theory, mathematical modeling and computer software. A geometric model has been created for calculating and optimizing the operation of the hanging mechanism. The MVA KPP-4.2 output parameters were calculated for three different cut heights.

The article discusses methods for determining the hydraulic resistance of units of an accident-resistant fuel system. A detailed description of the need to create such fuel systems for modern helicopters is given. The development of such systems today is impossible without the use of the method of mathematical modeling, which allows to qualitatively solve problems arising in the design process. To obtain accurate research results, it is necessary to have a complete description of all elements and assemblies of the system. Methods for determining the hydraulic characteristics of AFS elements using the drag coefficient, reference literature and CFD codes are considered. As the investigated AFS units, a drain valve and burst fitting were studied in the article. A hydraulic calculation of these AFS elements ware performed, the simulation results are presented in the ANSYS CFX software package. Also as the calculation results of bursting fitting, the pressure distribution fields of full and static pressure, velocity and streamlines are also shown. An experimental setup for validating the results obtained using the mathematical modeling method is considered, as well as a methodology for conducting a full-scale experiment to determine the hydraulic resistance of the unit. Materials have been prepared for inclusion in a one-dimensional mathematical model of an accident-resistant fuel system.
