This paper has a focus on Urban Regeneration, with the "still-active" industrial complex as the main element, on the Eastern outskirt of the City of Smederevo. It includes revitalization and networking with the cultural assets of the city, emphasizes their importance in terms of traditional and tourist conditions, in direct communication with a necessary urban methods for the revitalization of the entire area and the City of Smederevo. Due to the Comparative analysis of the "good practice" examples of the similar cities in Italy, the valorization of space and approaching the basic goal of the research has been performed. The aim of the research of this paper is to achieve the most effective urban regeneration and the new level of intervention along with the settings of guidelines for improving the quality of the completely coverage of the zone in which the complex is located, not only the certain zone of the industrial complex.

This article presents a comparative analysis of methods for keypoint detection that is a part of the research on the development of a surround camera system for large vehicles. Since the night time is the most dangerous for driving and the most difficult for image stitching, particular attention will be given to keypoint detection and image stitching in low light conditions. A comparative analysis of methods for keypoint detection has been made, a relevant technique has been developed and a series of experiments has been conducted to detect keypoints using the SURF, MSER, BRISK, Harris, FAST, and MinEigen methods. During the research, a search for identical keypoints for a pair of images, an analysis of their number and different methods of image stitching at different illumination levels were carried out. The results of the experiments are shown in graphs and tables.

The aim of the current study was to identify the main actors (leaders) involved in transformations of mediumsized cities in Poland and Russia that share similar legacies but took different development paths after the collapse of state socialism. These transformations are discussed using the framework of urban regeneration and are based on empirical data from two cities – Kolomna (Russia) and Kalisz (Poland). The data were obtained through expert interviews, as well as nonparticipant observation in the two cities. Though the process of urban regeneration shows similarities, the process leaders are different.

In the literature, analytical models have been shown to be extremely useful for estimating the decay rates of coliform as fecal indicator microorganisms, providing reliable predictions of bathing conditions in coastal and continental waters. Although a number of different formulations have been developed in the literature, each one may only be suitable for specific environments, and no comparison between these methods has ever been carried out. In the present article, a comparative analysis of bacterial decay models, calculated by eight different formulations, was performed in coastal outfall plumes, considering identical environmental conditions of solar radiation, temperature and salinity. A statistical approach was applied to identify the differences in means and in behaviors of the results obtained in the various simulations. The results indicate good agreement between bacterial decay rates calculated with at least four methods that were considered more reliable, and at least one of the models was shown to be suitable for estimating bacterial decay rates under night-time conditions, considering only the combined influences of temperature and salinity. Moreover, under daytime conditions, it provides consistent decay rates when compared with measurements taken in the field.
