Millennial generation employees are employees who value flexibility in their work. Therefore, work-life balance is one of the factors that can affect the attitude of millennial employees in the company. Job satisfaction is an employee's perspective on his work to see how far the company has met employee expectations. A work-life balance makes employees feel job satisfaction because they can work well while in the office; therefore they do not need to be burdened with problems outside of work. In addition, good quality of work-life balance will increase employee retention so that the company can avoid problems related to employee retention. This research aimed to explore the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction and employee retention of the millennial generation employees in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The sample used in this study was 196 employees from various fields of work. Analysis of data used simple linear regression, by testing the quality of the data through validity and reliability test. Study results found that there was an effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction as much as 8.3%, and there was an effect of work-life balance on employee retention of 4.4%. One of the managerial implications of the research results that can be implemented is organization should provide a good work environment and facilities to increase the motivation of the employees.

Work-Life balance has its importance from ancient days and the concept is very old, from the day the world has been created. There was a drastic change that has occurred in the market of teachers and their personal profiles. There are tremendous changes in various families which have bartered from the ‘breadwinner’ role of traditional men to single parent families and dual earning couples. This study furnishes an insight into work life balance and job satisfaction of teachers working in School of Villupuram District. The sample comprises of 75 school teachers from Government and private schools in Villupuram District. The Study results that there is increasing mediating evidence in Work-life balance as well as Job satisfaction of teachers are not affected by the type of school in which they are working. Job satisfaction or Pleasure of life will be affected as a whole by Work life balance of an individual which is the main which can be calculated by construct of subjective well being.

Purpose: - The impact of work-life balance on work-related outcomes has been the focus of much attention by researchers in organizational behavior and psychology. The aim of this study was to extend this literature by examining the potential moderating effect of religiosity on the relationship between satisfaction with work-life balance and job satisfaction. Methodology/Sample: - Data from The European Social Survey (ESS Round 6 Edition 1.2) provided the basis for this study (N= 21621). Findings: - Results suggested that satisfaction with work-life balance was positively related to job satisfaction and religiosity fostered the effect of satisfaction with work-life balance on job satisfaction. Practical Implications:- The findings of this study suggest that religiosity holds relevance to a variety of work outcomes. Faith and involvement in religious activities act as a personal resource, making individuals more resilient to cope with the challenges arising from work-life imbalance.

Background/Objectives: The interest in work-life balance has increased in Korea since the low birthrate problem intensified in the 2000s, and recently, a 52-hour workweek has been implemented depending on the size of the company to ensure work-life balance. Companies are also adopting the direction and policies of the government to spread job redesign or organizational culture that can bring work-life balance. Work-life balance is seen as a paradigm for high performance in modern society. Activation of smart work, which is a system that can work anytime and anywhere without being bound by time and place, is inevitable. It is assumed that the quality of life of the members of the organization will be improved through smartwork activation, and that the improvement of the quality of life will soon increase the organizational performanceMethods/Statistical analysis: This study utilizes the original data from the 2018 Smartwork Survey conducted by the Korea Information Society Agency, targeting employees of businesses with five or more business units and CEOs of businesses or heads of departments responsible for introducing and operating smart work. The survey collected samples using stratified sampling methods, and the survey was conducted online and in writing to 1,700 people from October 8, 2018 for 27 days. Finally, 566 data were hypothesized through SPSS 21.0 and AMOS structural model analysis.Findings: As a result of analyzing the effect of smart work on organizational performance through the effect of quality on life, Smartwork activation affects organizational performance, and the improvement of quality of life through time saving and work efficiency due to smartwork affects organizational performance. Managers' interest was found to play a moderating role in the structural relationship between smartwork activation, quality of life and organizational performance.Improvements/Applications: This study suggests smartwork activation by empirically analyzing the effect of smartwork activation on organizational performance by the mediating effect of quality of life for employees of companies working in smart office environment.

Prior research has indicated that the nature of work has changed dramatically in recent years in response to economic shifts and an increasingly global economy. In part, this shift has resulted in a greater efficacy of various work-life balance and worker schedule flexibility elements in the experiences of employees in the workplace. However, little is known about the overall comparative quality of work and job satisfaction around the world in response to a shifting and increasingly interconnected global economy. In this study, we use non-panel longitudinal data from the most recent wave of the International Social Survey Program (Work Orientations IV, 2015) to conduct an exploratory comparative analysis of the impact of various workplace conditions, job characteristics, and employee attitudes in relation to comparative job satisfaction across the globe, with a special focus on the role of work-life balance and worker scheduling flexibility. Employees across the globe respond quite differently to work scenarios, which poses challenges for companies operating in multiple countries, requires adjustments to human resource practices to optimize performance levels of employees and reduce turnover expenses, and should caution managers to scrutinize their procedures to adjust to new demands in the workplace. This study adds value by making global comparisons of various workplace factors and their impact on job satisfaction using a database reflecting practices in 37 countries.

Work Life Balance (WLB) is the current biggest problem being faced by the corporate employees. This research aims to evaluate the challenges of WLB that an employee has to face in his daily life, meanwhile what role does Emotional Intelligence (EI) play and to see how organizations can initiate to support them to improve their WLB and make them satisfied of their job. It aims to find out the impact of EI employee Job Satisfaction (JS) in the presence of WLB of corporate employees in Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta. To fulfill this purpose, quantitative methodology was adopted, 300 questionnaires were distributed, and SPSS version 22 was used to analyse data. The results indicate that EI has significant and positive impact on employee JS whether in the presence or absence of WLB. Finally, the results of ANOVA test between male and female employees are statistically different for WLB and EI but no significant difference between the genders was statistically found for JS. There is also no significance difference observed between marital status for EI, WLB and JS. From the findings of the research, some solutions are recommended to improve employees WLB for their job satisfaction in corporate sector.

In emerging cultures, job satisfaction and work-life balance are ongoing factors in gaining the ultimate competitive advantage for organizations. Work-life balance is a core ingredient for job satisfaction and for quality work performance, and employees need to have a sense of commitment to their jobs. The study attempts to determinethe extent to which work-life balance has a moderating effect onjob satisfaction in a call centre organization. The approach for the study was quantitative, and a self-developed questionnaire was the research instrument. The sample was107 employees and, both descriptive and inferential statistics were utilized.  A probability random sampling technique was chosen.  As evidenced in the study, room for improvement was required with both job satisfaction and work-life balance and; the validity and reliability for the study were high. The hypothesis for the study was partially accepted. In addition to a significant relationshipthat exists between the main constructs, work-life balance does have a moderating effect onjob satisfaction. The results and recommendations provide anecdotal evidence to call centre managers and policy makers to reach new levels of operations in order to meet their strategic intent and goal attainment.

In the nursing world, work-life balance and health maintenance has become a prominent issue. Nurses are drawn into a variety of directions which require them to be multitasking. The excessive workload of nurses creates the imbalance between professional and personal life. Thus, the aim of this study is to propose a conceptual framework on the impact of work-life balance on job satisfaction among nurses at public hospitals.  Prior literatures provided a number of examples that illustrated how work-life balance impacted job satisfaction among nurses. However, there is a lack of literature that focuses on how the dimensions of work-life balance such as working hours, work pressure and workplace culture impact job satisfaction. This conceptual framework can be beneficial to the public hospitals as to improve their policies and to upgrade the benefits programs, work distribution and work-life balance initiatives inside the organization. This framework is also designed to serve as a basis for future research in this area.
