A new flavonol glycoside, 5,4′-dimethylkaempferol 3-O-β-D-(6′′-α-Lrhamnopyranosyl) -glucopyranoside, together with three known compounds were isolated from the n-butanolic soluble fraction of underground and aerial parts of Linaria vulgaris Mill, collected on the territory of Moldova. The characterisation of these compounds was achieved by various chromatographic and spectroscopic methods (IR, UV, 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR and MS).

A new isoquinoline alkaloid, along with other known 4 bioactive compounds (1 isoquinoline alkaloid, 2 flavonoids, 1 coumarin), were isolated from the ethanol extract of aerial parts of Carduus crispus L. Crispine А N-oxide was newly isolated compound, two of them (quercetin and rutin) were compounds isolated for the first time from indicated plant. The structures of these compounds were elucidated and confirmed with spectroscopic methods e.g. 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, EI-MS, COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and by comparison with literature data.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5564/mjc.v12i0.178 Mongolian Journal of Chemistry Vol.12 2011: 85-87

The title compound, N-benzo[c][1,2,5]thiazol-4-yl-3-trifluoromethylbenzamide (1) was synthesized by reacting 3-trifluoromethylbenzoyl chloride (4) and 4-aminobenzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (5). The compound was characterized by various spectroscopic methods (1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, GC-MS) and its composition confirmed by elemental analysis. The importance of this compound lies in its possession of an N,N-bidentate directing group. Such a structural motif is potentially suitable for metal-catalyzed C-H bond functionalization reactions.

The aerial parts of three endemic Centaurea L. species, namely C. tomorosii Micevski, C. soskae Hayek and C. galicicae Micevski, afforded sesquiterpene lactone cnicin (1) and seven flavonoids: apigenin (2), isokaempferide (3), hispidulin (4), eupatorin (5), cirsimaritin (6), santaflavone (7) and salvigenin (8). The structures of the isolated compounds were determined by UV, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy and HR-ESI-MS spectrometry. 1H NMR spectroscopy was used as a method for quantitative analysis of sesquiterpene lactone cnicin.

Three iridoid glycoside lamiide(I), Ipolamiide(II) and ipolamiide(III) were isolated from N-butanol fractions obtained from the column chromatography of methanol extract from the aerial parts of Phlomis tuberosa. In addition, iridoid cyclopenta[c]pyran-4-carboxylic acid, 7-methyl-, methyl ester and phenol, 4-(3-hydroxy-1-propenyl)-2-methoxy were determined from the chloroform fraction of methanol extract of aerial parts from Phlomis tuberosa. Isolation and structural elucidation of compounds were accomplished by PTLC, TLC, CC and spectroscopic methods (UV, 13C and 1H NMR and DEPT, GC-MS). Aims: Isolation of Isocarpine From Adenocarpus Complicatus. Background: Adenocarpus Complicatus L. is one of Adenocarpus genus which has about 50 species, from Fabaceae (Papilionaceae) family. This plant found in the Mediterranean basin as southern west part of Europe and North Afric forestes. Objective: Isolation of Isocarpine From Adenocarpus Complicatus as Anticandidal Agent method: A new piperidine alkaloid Isocarpine was isolated from the aerial parts of Adenocarpus Complicatus L., which gross in Syria. The structure of the new compound was determined by UV, IR, EI-Ms, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT-135, DQF-COSY and HMQC. Results: The anticandidal activity of isocarpine was screened against 38 Candida strains and showed remarkable inhibitory effect compared with fluconazole as antifungal reference drug. Conclusion: Isocarpine is antifungal agent.

From the aerial parts of Premna integrifolia L., three glycosides acteoside (1), premnaodoroside A (2), and premnaodoroside B (3) were isolated. Their chemical structures were elucidated by means of ESI-MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, HSQC, HMBC spectra and in comparison with the previous literature. To our best knowledge, this is the first report of 1 and 3 from P. integrifolia.

A research on the synthesis of sodium pentagamavunonat (Na-PGV-0) and its stability test using UV-Visible spectrophotometer were carried out. The synthesis of Na-PGV-0 carried out by reacting PGV-0 in tetrahydrofuran solvent refluxed with sodium ethoxide in mol comparison (1:2) for two hours. Structure elucidation by spectroscopic methods using UV-Visible, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and stability test in water using UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The reaction yields 107,21 % (% w/w) products. A products was soluble in water and methanol. Structure elucidation results indicated that the formed compound where the OH phenolic of pentagamavunon-0 was replaced by sodium ions. Stability test shows that decreasing of sodium

Two known pregnane type of alkaloids, axillaridine A and spiropachysine, and an unidentified pregane alkaloid along with oleanolic acid and stigmasteryl glucoside have been isolated from chloroform extract of the aerial parts of Sarcococca hookeriana. The structures of the alkaloids are established on the basis of spectral analysis of 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, HMQC, COSY and HMBC spectrum. All compounds were isolated for the first time from S. hookeriana. So far, species of Sarcococca was not reported to contain spiropachysine which was initially reported as a novel alkaloid from Pachysandra terminalis SIEB. et ZUCC.(Buxaceae).DOI: 10.3126/jncs.v21i0.215Journal of Nepal Chemical Society Vol.21 2006 pp.8-15

Abstract Iridoids, 8-O-Acetylmioporosid, Clerodendrum, NMR, MS Clerodendrum thomsonae Balf. f. has been examined for iridoids. Besides the known compounds melittoside, aucubin, 8-O-acetylharpagide, reptoside and ajugoside a new iridoid, 8-O-acetylmioporoside, has been isolated using SC and HPLC. The structure and relative configuration of the new compound have been determined by spectroscopic methods (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS) and by correlation with mioporoside.
