The accelerated advancement in technology resulted to the appearance of Self Service Technology. One form of self-service technology in the banking sector is the presence of mobile banking. This study aims to examine the influence of five factors toward the reusing of Mobile Bank Central Asia (BCA) in Bandung. Those factors used in this study were the extension of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) constructs, i.e perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived credibility, customer awareness and social influence. Data was collected through distributed questionnaire to 100 respondents who used Mobile BCA by using judgment sampling. Multiple linear regression technique was employed to investigate the influence among variables. This study empirically concluded that consumer intention to reuse BCA mobile services was positively influenced by social influence, customer awareness and perceived ease of use. On the other hand, perceived usefulness and perceived credibility did not influence the intention of reusing Mobile BCA in Bandung. Further study is suggested to use probability sampling technique to cover the real voice of mobile banking user in Bandung and to explore the lack influence of perceived usefulness and perceived credibility toward reusing of Mobile BCA.

Abstrak Mobile Banking adalah salah satu pelayanan jasa bank yang memungkinkan nasabah untuk memperoleh informasi, melalui jaringan internet. Penerimaan dan manfaatkan yang dirasakan nasabah secara langsung dinilai berdasarkan persepsi penggunaan melalui kerangka TAM. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Minat Nasabah Menggunakan Mobile Bangking Dengan Kerangka Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan jenis penelitian kausalitas. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini nasabah BSM Cabang Yogyakarta yang menggunakan Mobile Banking yang berjumlah 376. Metode pengumpulan menggunakan koesioner yang telah diuji sebelumnya ke 30 responden dan dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas yang menghasilkan 100% pertanyaan dikatakan valid dan layak untuk digunakan. Metode penelitian menggunakan uji analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 17. Hasil yang diperoeh dari penelitian ini adalah Presepsi manfaat (perceived usefulness) berpengaruh positif terhadap minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Dimana tingginya atau meningkatnya Presepsi manfaat (perceived usefulness) maka akan meningkatkan minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Persepsi kemudahan penggunaan (perceived ease of use) berpengaruh negatif terhadap minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Tingginya Persepsi kemudahan penggunaan (perceived ease of use) akan menurunkan minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Presepsi kredibilitas (perceived credibility) berpengaruh positif terhadap minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Tingginya Presepsi kredibilitas (perceived credibility) akan meningkatkan minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Informasi tentang Mobile Banking berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Tingginya Informasi tentang Mobile Banking akan meningkatkan minat perilaku menggunakan Mobile Banking. Although numerous studies have been conducted on the use of self-service technology (SST), little is known about the importance of the situation for individuals’ acceptance of SSTs. This study proposed the situational dependency construct and analyzed the role of the construct in the use of SSTs. To conduct an empirical analysis, a research model combining the situational dependency variable with the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the technology acceptance model variables, which are the most frequently used in studies related to SSTs, was developed. A total of 213 valid data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis through structural equation modeling. The results showed that situational dependence influenced attitude toward using along with perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness and that situational dependence had a strong influence on intention to use. This study provides strategic insight for practitioners to lead acceptance of SSTs.

This study examined the factors that influence consumers’ acceptance and use of self-service technology by integrating a ground theory model such as the technology acceptance model and the theory of innovation adoption. The variables that affect consumers’ attitudes and intentions were investigated; this included perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, complexity and knowledge. Further, the variables from the resistance theory, which consist of usage barriers and ability, were investigated. Interviews and surveys were conducted with two business operators that provide TVM services; eight hundred online and offline consumers who experienced the TVMs were selected as a sample. The research model of this study was developed, and the correlations between the variables analyzed, using structural equation modeling. Our results confirm that the factors such as relative advantage, knowledge, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively affected the attitude and intention toward using the TVM; factors such as usage barriers and complexity negatively impacted the intention to use the top-up machine. These results can be used as baseline data for developing or designing self-service technology. Entrepreneurs should consider these factors to make technology continue to be recognized and persisted in the use of technology.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that shape behavioural intentions of customers towards the adoption of payment banks in India. The conceptual framework of study is based upon integration of technology acceptance model with initial trust, facilitating conditions and social influence. Further, the study tests the moderating role of age, income and self-efficacy on the relationships between dependent variable and associated predicted variable. A total of 507 responses were collected from the state of Punjab (India), using convenient sampling technique and were analysed using the structural equation modelling (SEM). The results revealed that perceived ease of use had the highest impact on the behavioural intentions, followed by initial trust and social influence. Facilitating conditions and perceived usefulness showed lower impact on the behavioural intentions towards the adoption of payment banks. Also, moderation analysis revealed that self-efficacy moderates the relation of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness with behavioural intentions. Results imply that marketers should collaborate with developers to provide the customers with easy-to-operate solutions along with robust customer support mechanism to escalate the adoption intention of those having lower self-efficacy levels.

This study aims to examine the factors influencing consumers' behavior intention to adopt mobile banking apps. The research uses the TAM model with additional variables such as social influence and perceived risk to evaluate how these factors impact the behavior intention of young customers toward adopting mobile banking services. PLS-SEM was used as the main research method. The findings from this paper reaffirmed that perceived usefulness and social influence are the most influential factor in behavior intention, but perceived ease of use and perceived risk showed insignificant impacts on young consumers' behavior intention in Vietnam. This paper also found that perceived ease of use had no direct impact on behavior intention but an indirect impact through facilitating perceived usefulness. This subject makes a practical and academic contribution in the context of a developing country where is lacking research in mobile banking apps.

Present study is an attempt to measure technology readiness of Indian customers towards self checkout service (SCS) through mobile app at retail stores at Hyderabad, India. Self-checkout services (SCS), a key offering of self service technology (SST), ‘is the technological enablement of customers to make payments and complete a checkout, after shopping, with little or no interaction with a service employee.’ Researchers also studied correlations between technology readiness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and likelihood to use SCS. For the purpose of the study TRI 2.0 developed by Parasuraman and Colby (2015) was used along with items of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, adapted from Davis (1989) , and items of ‘likelihood to use’ adapted from Bitner, Ostrom and Meuter (2002) . The findings of the study reveal that respondents’ technology readiness was moderate with respect to mobile based SCS. Significant positive correlations were found between: technology readiness and perceived ease of use, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and likelihood to use, perceived usefulness and likelihood to use. Further the respondents were categorised in to five technology segments as sceptics, explorers, pioneers, avoiders and hesitators.

The use of Information Technology (IT) in the banking sector has seen a phenomenal growth in India. For its effective use and implementation, employees' acceptance and the consequent use of IT are important. Davis' Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) (1989) explains users' acceptance of electronic systems. By applying the extended TAM approach to this study, the authors aim to uncover various factors that affect the attitude and acceptance of bank employees towards CBS. The TAM model identifies perceived usefulness (PU), and perceived ease of use (PEU) as impacting attitude towards IT and behavioural intention. The model is extended by identifying social influence, computer self-efficacy, and technological facility as factors affecting perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The target respondents for this study were bank employees from the public and private sectors banks (State Bank of India, Union Bank, Bank of India, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank) situated in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. Measurement items applied in this study were an adaptation of previously validated measures or were developed on the basis of a literature review. Responses were analysed using the 7-point Likert Scale that ranged from (1) ‘strongly disagree’ to (7) ‘strongly agree’. To test the reliability of the measures, a pilot study was conducted with 20 randomly chosen employees and modified scales. Structural equation modelling was used to analyse the data. Overall, the findings suggest that extended TAM variables positively influence the intention and usage behaviour through PU and PEU. That is, social influence enhances perceived usefulness; and computer self-efficacy and technology facility influence the perceived ease of use. Again, perceived ease of use significantly influences perceived usefulness which in turn has significant effect on behavioural intention and usage behaviour. Social influence of superiors was the prominent determinant of perceived usefulness of the CBS technology. Hence the role of managers as effective communicators is heightened especially in conveying the benefits of using IT and in turn achieving organizational goals.

Advanced mobile devices and global internet services have enhanced the usage of smartphones in the education sector and their potential for fulfilling teaching and learning objectives. The current study is an attempt to assess the factors affecting mobile learning acceptance by Saudi university students. A theoretical model of mobile learning acceptance was developed based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. Theoretically, five independent constructs were identified as most contributory towards the use of mobile learning and tested empirically. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using SmartPLS. The results of the study indicate that four constructs were significantly associated with mobile learning acceptance: perceived usefulness (β = 0.085, t = 2.201, and p = 0.028), perceived ease of use (β = 0.031, t = 1.688, and p = 0.013), attitude (β = 0.100, t = 3.771, and p = 0.037), and facilitating conditions (β = 0.765, t = 4.319, and p = 0.001). On the other hand, social influence was insignificant (β = −0.061, t = 0.136, and p = 0.256) for mobile learning acceptance. The contribution of social influence towards the use of mobile learning was negative and insignificant; hence, it was neglected. Thus, finally, four constructs (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and facilitating conditions) were considered as important determinants of mobile learning acceptance by university students.
