Despite many studies being conducted on mobile learning acceptance, few investigate mobile-based assessment acceptance. The objectives of this research are to provide valuable insights into current research on mobile-based assessment literature, and to identify the main gaps in the mobile-based assessment acceptance literature. Therefore, the present study systematically reviews 48 previous studies and eight articles related to mobile-based assessment acceptance to provide a comprehensive analysis of the articles published from 2009 to 2019. Findings indicate that majority of mobile-based assessment studies focused on evaluating the effectiveness and performance of mobile-based assessment system and conducted at the secondary school level. In addition, this study identified several gaps. Further research is needed to study the acceptance problem of a mobile-based assessment system. More investigation is required to predict which external factors that can enhance the acceptance and use of mobile-based assessment among students. The findings of this review study provide a valuable reference for researchers about the current trend of mobile-based assessment research as well as the research gaps that should be covered in future studies.

The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the world like a tornado, caught unprepared of the Chinese higher education system to adapt to widespread unexpected disruption. It forced university students transfer to mobile learning during epidemic disease period, but students' learning efficiency had become a concern for teachers who were used to face-to-face pedagogy. This study applied mixed methods. Qualitative phase interviewed 12 freshmen with e-mail, then constructed a model by thematic analysis that ultimately affects mobile learning efficiency. Quantitative phase survived 367 freshmen by questionnaire and test previous model. The result of path analysis in quantitative phase indicated that individual factors and technological factors positively affect mobile learning acceptance, mobile learning acceptance positively affect mobile learning efficiency. The contributions of this study have strong implications for universities whom conducting mobile learning in other regions, that were still in the midst of the epidemic.

Information quality (IQ) is a multidisciplinary area that can be understood as a measure of the value that information provides to its consumer. In order to obtain it, in the learning ecosystem, it is necessary to take into account the increasingly important role of learning platforms (LP). The purpose of this article was to analyze the IQ impact on LP. For this, an integrative literature review was conducted. Analysis of this field shows that IQ has a significant impact on LP, as it increases user satisfaction, favors the use, positively influences the intention of continuity and is an essential factor for the mobile learning acceptance.

Advanced mobile devices and global internet services have enhanced the usage of smartphones in the education sector and their potential for fulfilling teaching and learning objectives. The current study is an attempt to assess the factors affecting mobile learning acceptance by Saudi university students. A theoretical model of mobile learning acceptance was developed based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. Theoretically, five independent constructs were identified as most contributory towards the use of mobile learning and tested empirically. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using SmartPLS. The results of the study indicate that four constructs were significantly associated with mobile learning acceptance: perceived usefulness (β = 0.085, t = 2.201, and p = 0.028), perceived ease of use (β = 0.031, t = 1.688, and p = 0.013), attitude (β = 0.100, t = 3.771, and p = 0.037), and facilitating conditions (β = 0.765, t = 4.319, and p = 0.001). On the other hand, social influence was insignificant (β = −0.061, t = 0.136, and p = 0.256) for mobile learning acceptance. The contribution of social influence towards the use of mobile learning was negative and insignificant; hence, it was neglected. Thus, finally, four constructs (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and facilitating conditions) were considered as important determinants of mobile learning acceptance by university students.

This empirical research article employs a quantitative research methodology based on existing research on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to model how college students in Puerto Rico perceive, accept and reject mobile learning technologies before university implementation. This study identifies the factors, perceptions, and attitudes of mobile learning acceptance at the individual level. The TAM themes included in this study are: attitude (A), behavioral intentions (BI), ease of access (EoA), ease of use (EoU), external influence (EI), quality of service (QoS), student readiness (SR), university support (US) and usefulness (U). The article's objective is to examine the determinants and behavioral intentions to use M-learning in higher learning institutions in Puerto Rico. By understanding the determinants, universities, and organizations that deliver educational content can develop intervention programs aimed at increasing user acceptance of M-learning.
