The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) and its variants are found in many fields, especially logistics. In this study, we introduced an adaptive method to a complex VRP. It combines multi-objective optimization and several forms of VRPs with practical requirements for an urban shipment system. The optimizer needs to consider terrain and traffic conditions. The proposed model also considers customers' expectations, shipper considerations as goals, and the common goal like transportation cost. We offered compromise programming to approach the multi-objective problem by decomposing the original multi-objective problem into a minimized distance-based problem. We designed a hybrid version of the Genetic algorithm with the Local Search algorithm to solve the proposed problem. We evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with the Tabu Search algorithm, the original Genetic algorithm on the tested dataset. The results show that our method is an effective decision-making tool for the multi-objective VRP and an effective solver for the new variation of VRP.

A Synchronous Optimization for Multiship Shuttle Tanker Fleet Design and Scheduling is solved in the context of development of floating production storage and offloading device (FPSO). In this paper, the shuttle tanker fleet scheduling problem is considered as a vehicle routing problem with hard time window constraints. A mixed integer programming model aiming at minimizing total transportation cost is proposed to model this problem. To solve this model, we propose an exact algorithm based on the column generation and perform numerical experiments. The experiment results show that the proposed model and algorithm can effectively solve the problem.

This paper presents a novel mathematical model for a stochastic location-routing problem (SLRP) that minimizes the facilities establishing cost and transportation cost, and maximizes the probability of delivery to customers. In this proposed model, new aspects of a location-routing problem (LRP), such as stochastic availability of facilities and routes, are developed that are similar to real-word problems. The proposed model is solved in two stages: (i) solving the facility location problem (FLP) by a mathematical algorithm and (ii) solving the multi-objective multi-depot vehicle routing problem (MO-MDVRP) by a simulated annealing (SA) algorithm hybridized by genetic operators, namely mutation and crossover. The proposed SA can find good solutions in a reasonable time. It solves the proposed model in large-scale problems with acceptable results. Finally, a trade-off curve is used to depict and discuss a large-sized problem. The associated results are compared with the results obtained by the lower bound and Lingo 8.0 software.

When there are multiple objectives co-existent in Vehicle routing problem(VRP), it is difficult to achieve optical status simultaneously. To solve this issue, it introduces a method of improved multi-objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA). It adopts an approach close to heuristic algorithm to cultivate partial viable chromosomes, route decoding to ensure that all individuals meet constraints and uses relatively efficient method of arena contest to construct non-dominated set. Finally programme to fulfill the multi-objective algorithm and then apply it in the standard example of VRP to verity its effectiveness by comparison with the existing optimal results.

Logistic distribution involves many costs for organizations. Therefore, opportunities for optimization in this respect are always welcome. The purpose of this work is to present a methodology to provide a solution to a complexity task of optimization in Multi-objective Optimization for Green Vehicle Routing Problem (MOOGVRP). The methodology, illustrated using a case study (employee transport problem) and instances from the literature, was divided into three stages: Stage 1, “data treatment”, where the asymmetry of the routes to be formed and other particular features were addressed; Stage 2, “metaheuristic approaches” (hybrid or non-hybrid), used comparatively, more specifically: NSGA-II (Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II), MOPSO (Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization), which were compared with the new approaches proposed by the authors, CWNSGA-II (Clarke and Wright’s Savings with the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II) and CWTSNSGA-II (Clarke and Wright’s Savings, Tabu Search and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II); and, finally, Stage 3, “analysis of the results”, with a comparison of the algorithms. Using the same parameters as the current solution, an optimization of 5.2% was achieved for Objective Function 1 (OF{\displaystyle _{1}}; minimization of CO{\displaystyle _{2}} emissions) and 11.4% with regard to Objective Function 2 (OF{\displaystyle _{2}}; minimization of the difference in demand), with the proposed CWNSGA-II algorithm showing superiority over the others for the approached problem. Furthermore, a complementary scenario was tested, meeting the constraints required by the company concerning time limitation. For the instances from the literature, the CWNSGA-II and CWTSNSGA-II algorithms achieved superior results.

Abstract BackgroundSupply chain provides the chance to enhance chain performances by decrease these uncertainties. It is a demand for some level of co-ordination of activities and processes within and between organization in the supply chain to decrease uncertainties and increase more cost for customers. Partner selection is an important issue in the supply chain management of fresh products in E-commerce environment. In this paper, we utilized a multi-objective genetic algorithm for evaluation supply chain of fresh products in E-commerce environment. ResultsThe proposed multi-objective genetic algorithm is to search the set of Pareto-optimal solutions for these conflicting objectives using by weighted sum approach. The proposed model suitable for fresh products in E-commerce environment to optimize supply chain are derived. The value of objective 1 (f1) performs approximately nonlinearly with the increasing the value of objective 2,3 and 4 (f2,f3 and f4). At the value of objective 1 of 3.2*105, f2, f3 and f4 is about 4.3*105, 86 and 5.6*104. When the value of objective 1 is increased to 7.6*105, the minimum f2, f3 and f4 is about 3.0*105, 38 and 2.56*104. It is noted that the value of objective 1 is increased from 6.4*105 to 7.6*105, the variation of f2, f3 and f4 is 11.7%, 17.4% and 3.4% respectively. It is pointed out that the variation of f2 and f3 with f1 and f4 is kept within obvious ranges. This practical result highlights the fact that the effects of the fact that effects of f2 and f3 are important factors affecting the performance supply chain network of fresh product in E-commerce environment.ConclusionsIn this paper, we utilized a multi-objective genetic algorithm for evaluation supply chain of fresh products in E-commerce environment. Four objectives for optimal process are included in the proposed model: (1) maximization of green appraisal score, (2) minimization of transportation time and total time comprised of product time, (3) maximization of average product quality, (4) minimization of transportation cost and total cost comprised of product cost. In order to evaluate optimal process, set of Pareto-optimal solutions is obtained based on the weighted sum method.
