Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between employees’ experience of interpersonal conflict and their engagement in knowledge hiding, according to a mediating effect of their relatedness need frustration and a moderating effect of their narcissistic rivalry. Design/methodology/approach The tests of the hypotheses rely on three-wave, time-lagged data collected among employees in Pakistan. Findings A critical reason that emotion-based fights stimulate people to conceal valuable knowledge from their coworkers is that these employees believe their needs for belongingness or relatedness are not being met. This mediating role of relatedness need frustration is particularly salient among employees who are self-centered and see others as rivals, with no right to fight with or give them a hard time. Practical implications The findings indicate how organizations might mitigate the risk that negative relationship dynamics among their employees escalate into dysfunctional knowledge hiding behavior. They should work to hire and retain employees who are benevolent and encourage them to see colleagues as allies instead of rivals. Originality/value This research unpacks the link between interpersonal conflict and knowledge hiding by explicating the unexplored roles of two critical factors (relatedness need frustration and narcissistic rivalry) in this relationship.

A university campus is an intricate infrastructure. Especially new students, who are thereon for the first time, have a tough time orienting themselves and finding places. The campus of Andhra University occupies more than 422 acres (170.7 hectares). The campus has many different buildings. Every year, thousands of new students join the university. These students either take a campus commuter or walk around to get familiar with the campus compound. Visitors to Andhra University might have a hard time searching for a particular location on the campus. Every day, uncountable numbers of students, staff, and visitors move around the campus compound to perform tasks by walking, cycling, driving, or riding campus commuters. Even if there are maps at various points on the campus premises, users do not have continuous help to reach their destination. On these static maps, they can try to figure out a way to get to their target, but as soon as they start walking in the target direction, they have no help anymore. The main objective of this study is to develop a Spatial Information System for Andhra University (a Progressive Web App). Which provides several features like a voice-enabled optimal navigation solution, shows nearby places within campus premises, and a geo-tagged university (Geo-tagging of all entities within campus premises). To make the web application more operative, the application is appended with more features. For instance, a map shows statistical data with pie charts visualization (statistical data like monthly attendance), machine learning's image recognition model for extracting the building information from the digital or captured images.

Abstract The use of cannabis for therapeutic purposes is becoming more popular in many countries, including the United States and Canada. In Canada, middle-aged and older adults make up the largest proportion of medical cannabis users. Canadian legislation mandates that medical cannabis be packaged in plain-looking containers with small labels, childproof caps, and required health warnings. This is meant to standardize the way cannabis products are distributed, as well as protect children from accidental ingestion. However, there is limited research on how these regulations affect cannabis users over age 45. In the present study, residents of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada aged 45 and older (n=40) were surveyed regarding their experiences with medical cannabis packaging and labeling. Half of the participants (50%) felt they had a hard time opening their medical cannabis container. A majority (60%) thought having an easy-open lid would be helpful. Most participants (78%) reported experiencing difficulties reading the label on their container, and 75% thought it would be helpful to have a printout of the label in a larger font. In addition, 89% of participants who took more than one kind of medical cannabis favored a symbol on their medication bottle that would indicate the type of medical cannabis contained inside. Implications for policy makers and future research are discussed.

Chapter 4 provides an examination of the common states of mind arising out of openness, including schizotypy, reduced latent inhibition, and cognitive disinhibition. The chapter reconstructs a frame of mind artists themselves have a hard time describing. From there, questions center on the shaping, the organizing, and the ordering involved in art-making. Most of the chapter is dedicated to chaos and its roots in personality. But chaos alone isn’t enough. Creativity is making something. Chaos is a means to that end, the making. How the artist uses chaos is just as important as finding ways to stay open to it. Numerous artists are used as illustrations, including Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Jobs, and Joni Mitchell. A four-step model for how raw materials get shaped into art is also presented.

GameStop Corp. is a video game retailer, which has been in hard time over the outbreak of COVID-19, resulted a volatile share price in markets. This article is trying to analyze the actual value of the GameStop Corp. via two different approaches- quantitative and qualitative, in order to calculate the company’s market value and reach a conclusion about the share price of GameStop, by looking at it from different aspects, such as some data from company’s balance sheets, quarter and annual reports overtime, GameStop’s loyalty programmes, and behavioral finance.

Introduction: The year 2019 will be remembered in the human history by the mark of an unknown diseases plaguing the whole world with its devastation, namely coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This pandemic caused by a novel strain of RNA virus has caused a catastrophic health outcome for millions of world citizens but in many cases only the physical aspect of the disease came under consideration. Materials & Methods: This review is based on ample literature search of Medline, the Cochrane Database of Systemic Reviews, and citation lists of relevant publications. Discussion: COVID-19 pandemic has caused a variety of health problems including mental health issues. Initial panic about the completely unknown (Novel) virus plaguing the world was soon joined by an array of mental health problems like anxiety, depression, combined anxiety and depression, traumatic stress etc. Amidst the chaos of unpredictability, mortality, overstretched health facilities etc. we often downplay the importance of paying attention to the mental side of the disease spectrum. As a result, outcomes like child abuse, domestic violence and suicide can increase. Conclusion: It is of utmost importance to educate mass people about the coping strategies to go through this hard time, to ensure proper news sharing, to screen people who are at risk of developing mental health problems and to provide support to those who are in need. Discovering very small water leaks at the household level is one of the most challenging goals of smart metering. While many solutions for sudden leakage detection have been proposed to date, the small leaks are still giving researchers a hard time. Even if some devices can be found on the market, their capability to detect a water leakage barely reaches the sensitivity of the employed mechanical water meter, which was not designed for detecting small water leakages. This paper proposes a technique for improving the sensitivity of the mechanical register water meters. By implementing this technique in a suitable electronic add-on device, the improved sensitivity could detect very small leaks. This add-on device continuously acquires the mechanical register’s digital images and, thanks to suitable image processing techniques and metrics, allows very small flows to be detected even if lower than the meter starting flow rate. Experimental tests were performed on two types of mechanical water meters, multijet and piston, whose starting flow rates are 8 L/h and 1 L/h, respectively. Results were very interesting in the leakage range of [1.0, 10.0] L/h for the multijet and even in the range [0.25, 1.00] L/h for the piston meter.

Education is a field of indispensable transformation. During the hard time of pandemic outbreak, the method of teaching and learning changed undeniably. What had caused the changes? The pandemic or the learning needs and practices of students. Students’ learning needs are, of course, a priority. What could be the ideal form of teaching learning when students are not able to attend their daily transaction of subject content? It's only possible through the virtual mode. A very challenging period for the teaching fraternity, the student community, and the parents as well. Students must adapt themselves to virtual learning, and teachers must equip themselves with a new method of teaching. It is the parents' responsibility to procure items that please their wards. The current scenario of teaching and learning is therefore reliant heavily on digital literacy skills. In every coin there is a flip side. Similarly, digital literacy also has its pros and cons. The objective of this paper is to bring to light the dark side of digital literacy.

Students find linguistics at times abstract and intimidating and they have a hard time understanding how they can apply what they learn in our classes to the real world and how to relate their cultural/community experiences to it. As a consequence, we inadvertently restrict the pool of linguistic students. Inspired bywork done by Hudley et al. (2017), Trester (2017), Chávez & Longerbeam (2016), and by my personal experiences, I created a series of activities for my introduction to linguistics and syntax courses to respond to this problem. I offer some suggestions on how to make our linguistics courses more practical and relatable to our students, in particular first-generation students. The long-term goal is to organically engage and retain a diverse pool of students, thus enriching our field with their perspectives. We can achieve this goal by balancing teaching practices across cultural frameworks.

Emerging Technology Trends in Education is defined as those technologies that represent new and significant developments in the field like the Internet of Things (IoT), Education 4.0 which uses the Blending Learning, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality.  In this time of Pandemic there are lots of challenges encountered like we cannot conduct a face to face classroom instruction and even the simulation of activities. Educational courses that require laboratory of simulation of activities is the biggest challenges because students are having hard time in understanding the practical real-time applications. In this time of Pandemic the evolution of Emerging Trends in Education helps a lot because it’s characteristics to adopt the requirements as required by the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 (IATF.)The purpose of the study is to help and strengthen the role of the Emerging Trends in our Education amidst the Pandemic and to help our Educational Sector boost up the level of education in the new Normal Approach and schools will be able to adapt these emerging technologies specially in this time of a pandemic. In conclusion Emerging Trends plays a vital role because majority of the educational sector are now using Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in their practical laboratory exercises while at home.
