The rapid development of automation system is inseparable from the development of technology in the field of control. In its development, a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) has been widely used on an industrial scale. PLC programmable can be used as a controller of three phase induction motor. If an error occurs, it can be quickly identified and the work function of each device can be monitored and will also be easier to develop a method of control in the industry. This situation led to many large industries using PLC for all control equipment. In this study created a system of control of three phase induction motor using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with the method of Star (Y). Inrush current when the displacement of the position of Star (Y) to Delta (Δ) is expected to be reduced. The results of the research that has been done the tool can work well and yield value in accordance with the theory. As well as a tool in the design of specialized trainer so it can be used as a learning media.

Metal sorting conveyor is a device that is used to separate metal and non-metal objects, the drive of this conveyor uses ½ Horse Power (HP) induction motor as its prime mover. To adjust the rotation of the induction motor 1 HP Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) is used. This VFD is set with the double speed parameter so that later the motor can rotate variably in two speeds. The input parameters of the VFD itself use switches in the form of photo electric and inductive proximity which are controlled automatically using Programmable Logic Control (PLC). The digital output of the PLC will then communicate with the digital input of the VFD so that when the object on the conveyor is detected by a photoelectric, the VFD will adjust the frequency by 8,5 Hz, if the object on the conveyor is detected by metal by inductive proximity, the VFD will set the frequency by 14,5Hz . So that at each of these frequencies the motor can rotate with speeds of 241,5 rpm and 359,5 rpm. The results of the trials carried out show that VFD can regulate in a number of speeds in a variable manner, but in this study limited to using two speeds or double speed as a variable speed experiment.

Sebuah kegiatan praktikum sangatlah dibutuhkan dalam dunia pendidikan dimana didasari perlunya saling menghubungkan antara teori-teori dan praktik. Seperti pada bidang keteknikan pasti adanya  mesin-mesin dan peralatan lainnya untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan praktikum. Pada sebuah labolatorium teknik adanya sebuah mesin peralatan pneumatik semi elektrik yang berbasis Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) yang tidak berfungsi mungkin karena rusak atau kurang adanya  faktor pendukung pendukung lainnya.Supaya peralatan tersebut dapat berfungsi kembali harus adanya proses perbaikkan dan perancangan ulang. Untuk cara atau metode perancangan ulang peralatan tersebut ialah mengamati setiap komponen sistem pneumatik apakah ada komponen yang dibutuhkan atau yang harus diganti, mengamati mesin jenis mesin PLC yang digunakan, penambahan sebuah software PLC untuk mengolah data perintah pada PLC yaitu menggunakan software Cx-Programmer.Setelah dilakukannya proses perhitungan pada sistem pneumatik didapatkan hasil untuk kebutuhan udara silinder kerja ganda geser / lodress cylinder (Q) sebesar 0,129 â„“/min, sedangkan untuk kebutuhan udara silinder kerja ganda geser / Dual-Rod Cylinders (Q)  sebesar 1,9 x 10-4â„“/min.

Abstrak PLC (Programmable Logic Control) banyak dipakai dalam dunia industri sebagai unit kontrol utama pada mesin-mesin produksi. PLC merupakan sekumpulan saklar elektronik yang dapat diatur kapan harus ON dan kapan harus OFF sesuai dengan hukum-hukum kontrol logic yang telah diprogram. Salah satu keunggulan dari PLC adalah dapat digunakan menjadi Alat Pengatur mesin yang berlainan hanya dengan mengubah program yang ada dalam PLC tanpa harus mengubah perangkat kerasnya. Pada penelitian ini akan dirancang bangun penggunaan PLC untuk menggerakkan motor DC 12 Volt Sekaligus membaca kecepatan putarnya (RPM) dengan menggunakan sebuah piringan yang berlubang yang akan dibaca oleh sensor LDR. Tafki Aunika Fariz Alfitri, Iman Setiono, in this paper explain that at this time human life has become more advanced especially in the field of science and technology, all people compete to create technology that is useful and easy for humans. At present the equipment in general has used a remote monitoring and operation system. This system usually uses a microcontroller or PLC as a control. In an effort to facilitate human work, in this case I tried to make a design setting the direction of rotation of the DC power windows. This DC power windows motor is usually used in the car to move the windshield up and down. This Windows power DC motor uses a power supply of 12 volt DC and the output is between 0-5 Volt. This design uses Panasonic PLC as its main control. By using the relay as a reverse rotation setting and forward DC power windows, the motor will automatically move in reverse and forward. The input of a 24 Volt DC panasonic PLC originating from the adapter. The design of this tool can later be applied to a glass in the car by using the Panasonic PLC as its control and other component components needed in the design of the rotary direction arrangement. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) adalah suatu rangkaian yang mampu memindahkan beban dari sumber listrik utama ke sumber listrik cadangan. Apabila kemudian PLN kembali normal selanjutnya ATS bertugas untuk mengembalikan jalurnya dengan memindahkan switch kembali ke sisi utama. Suplai daya utama dari PLN tidak selamanya berkesinambungan, suatu saat pasti terjadi pemadaman yang dapat disebabkan oleh perawatan secara berkala atau pun gangguan pada pembangkit di sistem distribusi dan sistem transmisi. Maka untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan back up daya yang berupa generator. Kendala dalam menggunakan generator ini adalah ketika suplai daya dari PLN terputus operator akan membutuhkan waktu yang lama dalam menghidupkan generator, inilah mengapa kita membutuhkan alat bantu otomatis untuk mempermudah operator yakni ATS. Alat yang dibuat ini dilengkapi dengan Programmable logic control (PLC), PLC ini merupakan sistem kontrol utama untuk alat yang akan dibuat sebagai kontrol otomatis sehingga memudahkan dalam pembuatan, instalasi, dan perawatan.Kata kunci : ATS, PLC, Generator

A cable car is a hanging car that runs by cable. Cable car carrier controlled by DC motor. The cable car can be a solution to accommodate the mobilization of agricultural commodities in areas that are difficult to access while still paying attention to safety and reliability. In this research, the speed of a cable car would be automatically controlled with Programmable Logic Control (PLC). PLC functions as a cable car operation controller by considering 3 parameters, namely: wind speed, maximum load weight, and distance (meters). The speed of the cable car is controlled by the PLC using fuzzy logic. Cable car speed is based on parameters of wind speed, load weight and distance. From the results obtained, the PLC has worked well in regulating the speed of the cable car and if any parameter exceeds the PLC limit, it can turn off the cable car.

This project present an experimental test results on energy consumption of a refrigerator compressor triggered by using thermostat and programmable logic control (PLC). The PLC modulates the speeds of the compressor according to refrigeration load using inverter based on control law written in the PLC memory. The temperature setting for both thermostat and PLC were varied at-8 °C and-10 °C respectively. At-8°C the results indicate PLC consumed 4.45 to 6.79% less energy compared to thermostat setting. While at-10°C, the saving made through PLC is in the range of 6.43 to 12.88%. The fluctuation of freezer compartment is better when PLC controlled. As the energy input to compressor is lower due to the slower speed, this enhanced the coefficient of performance (COP).
