STRATEGI MEWUJUDKAN LAYANAN PRIMA DI PERPUSTAKAAN IAIN PONOROGO

Layanan prima menjadi salah satu hal yang harus diwujudkan oleh perpustakaan agar pengunjung memperoleh kenyamanan dan dapat mengambil manfaat dari keberadaan perpustakaan. Artikel ini memaparkan bagaimana kondisi perpustakaan STAIN Ponorogo setelah upaya pelayanan prima dilakukan utamanya pada peralihan status dari STAIN menjadi IAIN Ponorogo. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa perpustakaan IAIN Ponorogo telah melakukan berbagai macam upaya yakni: strategi menyediakan koleksi buku yang lengkap, layanan mandiri peminjaman kunci dengan tiga komputer, memberikan attention yang lebih, memberikan pelatihan/training ORS (Online Research Skill) setiap hari jum’at, selving setiap hari dengan bantuan Office Boy, penghitungan denda dengan otomasi komputer, pelayanan kartu kunjung, kartu sakti dan layanan silang antar perpustakaan, penyimpanan barang di loker dan penggunaan cctv, request buku baru, penelusuran buku dengan menggunakan komputer OPAC, dan ketepatan jam buka layanan, serta memberikan layanan yang ramah dan cepat. Meskipun demikian masih terdapat kekurangan dalam pelayanan yakni layanan yang ramah dan cepat tersebut belum konsisten. [Excellent service is one of the things that must be realized by the library so that visitors get comfort and can take the advantage of the library existence. This article describes how the condition of the STAIN Ponorogo library after the efforts of excellent service is carried out primarily on the transition of status from STAIN to IAIN Ponorogo. The results of the study shows that IAIN Ponorogo library has made various efforts namely: a strategy of providing a complete collection of books, key lending independent services with three computers, giving more attention, providing training/ORS (Online Research Skill) training every Friday , arranging the book (selving) every day with the help of Office Boy, calculating fines with computer automation, visiting card services, magic cards and cross services between libraries, storing goods in lockers and using cctv, request for the new books, searching books using OPAC computers, and accuracy in opening hours service, as well as providing friendly and fast service. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze how the role of IAIN Curup’s library in the development of the campus scientific community. This study uses a qualitative approach, with qualitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are several things that have been done by the IAIN Curup’s Library to show its role in the development of the scientific community, namely providing e-resources; Online research skill training; form a library journal; hold regular FGD activities in the form of scientific discussions and knowledge sharing; and improvement of library facilities and infrastructure.

Library is not only a space for displaying books, but there are many important values within. The paradigm of library has been shifted from books oriented into user oriented meaning library is as sources of information. Besides that, library plays its roles as an institution of cultural heritage conservators in maintaining cultural values, and revitalizing the tradition. In this technology era, this article tries to explain the interesting phenomena in the libraries of the State Institute for Islamic Studies (PTKIN) in Indonesia concerning the history of the emergence and development of such novel traditions including Online Research Skill (ORS) and Writing Skill (RS).

Kirkpatrick Model

The focus of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of Online Research Skill (ORS) trainingprogram in supporting students to study and conduct their research at UIN Maulana MalikIbrahim Malang. The purpose is to explore how effective the ORS training in supporting theirstudy performance. This study used research quantitative method with Kirkpatrick model approachadded. Kirkpatrick Model is used to evaluate the effectiveness of ORS training program at the levelof participants’ reaction and participants training process. In general, the result of the study foundthat the training is effective, and by 86.5% have contributed to the achievement of training objectives.However, the training still needs some improvements, specifically the use of more advanced mediatechnology for the next courses. Thus, based on those results, the researchers recommend that the LIORScurriculum need to be revised/improved based on participants’ views and SCONUL curriculum.
