The article represents research and work-out results in the field of applied agent-based decision support system development for regional security management. General problem statement of the regional security management information support is carried out. Modeling and automation tools of security manager activities within the region safeguarding process, interacting in the unified information environment, are proposed. A multi-agent technology for network-centric control information support of regional security has been developed. The technology is based on agent-oriented and system dynamics methodologies integration and use hybrid smart agents with integrated simulation toolkit.

This paper introduces a new product modeling method: MAPMNM(Multi-Agent Based Product Modeling for Networked Manufacturing) based on analysing the requirements of product modeling. The method offers a unified product master model and distributed domain models to alliance enterprise based on network by using web service and the agent technology of AI domain. Firstly, the paper gives the framework of the MAPMNM.Secondly, it elaborates on the web services, the architecture and running menchanism of the domain agent in MAPMNM.

A Multi-Agent based transmission fault diagnosis system is researched in this paper. Many data digging analysis methods are employed, combined with data warehouse, OLAP and Multi-Agent technology. An intelligent decision supporting system for monitoring transmission network data is built. Data digging method is used to intelligently analyze and process fault data in the data warehouse, and Agent technology is used to realize data collection, pretreatment, inquiry, knowledge Automatic extraction, mining and other functions, which makes the whole mining process intellectual and intelligent. It aids transmission management with decision-making, thus to make the monitoring and repair of power grid fault more timely and accurate.

The theme of this chapter includes topics of matching, auction and negotiation. We have shown that the knowledge of game theory is very important when designing an agent-based matching or negotiation system. The problem of bounded rationality in multi¬-agent systems is also discussed; we put forward the mechanism design and heuristic methods as solutions. A real negotiation scenario is presented to demonstrate our proposed solutions. In addition, we discuss the future trends of the agent technology in e¬commerce system.

The study is aimed to development of the mathematical apparatus for analysis and synthesis of the multi-level distributed management systems of regional security for the purpose of system adequacy enhancement under management problems complication in this field. Mathematical models for regional security management based on the functional-target technology and the theory of hierarchical multi-level systems are proposed. Models provide formalized problem statement and practical implementation of automation procedures of the structural-algorithmic synthesis of appropriate systems for information support of management activity. Our research work consists of two parts. In the first part formal procedures of the chain synthesis of goals and actions in regional security management are considered. In the second part the model synthesis issues of covering and adequate systems, providing management problem-solving by isomorphism conditions settlement of the all problem decomposition levels and the system functional organization.

With the development of artificial intelligence, Multi-agent technology is applied more and more in reality. In line with multi-user intelligent network examination test system, this paper proposes multi-agent-based general examination system model constituted by multiple mutually independent but collaborated AGENTs. In addition to fulfill their respective responsibilities, every single sub-Agent communicates among each other to gain information and complete missions in a collaborative form. Also, dedicated data mining AGENT is deployed in the system to conduct intelligent analysis and processing on various data, thereby providing decision support for teachers’ teaching and student’s study duties. And this paper presents a new clue for establishing intelligent network examination system under distributed environment.

Abstract This article presents a practical solution in the form of implementation of agent-based platform for the management of contracts in a network of foundries. The described implementation is a continuation of earlier scientific work in the field of design and theoretical system specification for cooperating companies [1]. The implementation addresses key design assumptions - the system is implemented using multi-agent technology, which offers the possibility of decentralisation and distributed processing of specified contracts and tenders. The implemented system enables the joint management of orders for a network of small and medium-sized metallurgical plants, while providing them with greater competitiveness and the ability to carry out large procurements. The article presents the functional aspects of the system - the user interface and the principle of operation of individual agents that represent businesses seeking potential suppliers or recipients of services and products. Additionally, the system is equipped with a bi-directional agent translating standards based on ontologies, which aims to automate the decision-making process during tender specifications as a response to the request.
