This research article is a result of a keen literature review. Author gone through various techniques to modify the patch antenna parameters and found implementing veselago media is best among other techniques. In this research paper a MPA was designed on the operating frequency of 2.4 GHz and after that veselago media was implemented to modify its result and found a marvelous change in the simulated result of the MPA. Previously return loss, bandwidth, directivity was found -11dB, 39MHz and 5.698dBi respectively. After implementing the veselago media result achieved are -30dB, 55.5MHz and 6.645dBi respectively.

A reactive impedance surface (RIS) based miniaturized bent slotted patch antenna is proposed and investigated for S-band applications around 2.39 GHz. Bent slots in the patch reduce the patch antenna size by increasing current path on the patch. Further a RIS substrate with cross-shaped patch elements printed over a grounded dielectric is optimized and investigated for antenna miniaturization. The proposed bent slotted patch antenna over RIS substrate is 38.75% miniaturized with respect to traditional patch antenna at a fixed operating frequency. The proposed antenna reveals an overall volume of 0.280λ0 × 0.280λ0 × 0.036λ0on a low-cost FR4 substrate at 2.39 GHz for S-band applications. The proposed antenna is fabricated and measured for its return loss. The measured results are in good agreement with simulated one.

Microstrip antenna exhibits unique properties that have led to wide range of application. The frequency is the most important factor in antenna engineering. However, antenna resonant frequency is determined by various factors. This paper focuses on some of these parameters, and studies have also been performed to obtain design guidelines for patch antenna. Parameters involved vary from -40% to +40% compare to the selected dimensions as a criterion, and the frequency shifts have been obtained, Comparatively, the patch length plays the most important rule on antenna frequency. The feed point location and substrate thickness take a little effect in quantity, and substrate thickness also works on antenna operating frequency. Experimental data and results analyzed are useful for antenna design.

In this paper we have proposed an innovative design for a reconfigurable micro strip patch antenna for wireless applications. It has a central patch antenna operating at 7.5 GHz called as driven patch; with two adjacent wing patches which when connected with the central patch reconfigure the operating frequency to 5.5 GHz and 2.9 GHz. The design is performed by using 3D electromagnetic simulator HFSS considering ideal MEMS switches.
