A Novel Rail-Network Hardware with simulation facilities is presented in this paper. The hardware is designed to facilitate the learning of application-oriented, logical, real-time programming in an embedded system environment. The platform enables the creation of multiple unique programming scenarios with variability in complexity without any hardware changes. Prior experimental hardware comes with static programming facilities that focus the students’ learning on hardware features and programming basics, leaving them ill-equipped to take up practical applications with more real-time constraints. This hardware complements and completes their learning to help them program real-world embedded systems. The hardware uses LEDs to simulate the movement of trains in a network. The network has train stations, intersections and parking slots where the train movements can be controlled by using a 16-bit Renesas RL78/G13 microcontroller. Additionally, simulating facilities are provided to enable the students to navigate the trains by manual controls using switches and indicators. This helps them get an easy understanding of train navigation functions before taking up programming. The students start with simple tasks and gradually progress to more complicated ones with real-time constraints, on their own. During training, students’ learning outcomes are evaluated by obtaining their feedback and conducting a test at the end to measure their knowledge acquisition during the training. Students’ Knowledge Enhancement Index is originated to measure the knowledge acquired by the students. It is observed that 87% of students have successfully enhanced their knowledge undergoing training with this rail-network simulator.

OBJECTIVE: To report a case of QT prolongation and syncopal episodes resulting from concomitant use of cisapride and agents known to inhibit its metabolism. CASE SUMMARY: A 53-year-old white woman was involved in two motor vehicle accidents on the same day after experiencing syncopal episodes. Cardiac and neurologic evaluations were negative; the syncopal episodes were attributed to QT prolongation associated with the concomitant use of cisapride and agents known to inhibit its metabolism. DISCUSSION: This is the first case published in the English-language literature describing QT prolongation resulting from the concomitant use of cisapride and agents known to inhibit its metabolism. Clarithromycin inhibits CYP3A4, the isoenzyme responsible for the metabolism of cisapride. Concomitant administration of cisapride with agents known to inhibit CYP3A4 (i.e., azole antifungals, erythromycin, clarithromycin) may result in elevated cisapride concentrations. Elevated cisapride concentrations have been associated with QT prolongation, syncopal episodes, and cardiac dysrhythmias. CONCLUSIONS: Acquired QT prolongation is a well-recognized adverse effect of several drugs. Recognition of newer drugs and drug combinations that place patients at risk for this potentially fatal adverse event is imperative for appropriate monitoring and prevention.

In today's era, cinema is such a genre, towards which a child of two years and an old man of eighty years is also attracted. Even a person from a small town to a small town is not untouched by its hypnosis. Cinema is a complete genre in itself, as it includes all arts like painting, theatrical art, poetry, fiction. The cinema that we see today has a developed and sophisticated form in front of us, a century of hard work behind it. In the present times, cinema has taken the form of industry but it has not only given us entertainment, but also education, so it has become a powerful medium to express the feelings of the public. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that "Movies are not only the best medium of entertainment, but they are also the best medium for knowledge enhancement".

Shallot’s fluctuations in production are able to influence the inflation rates where a deficit on shallot supply makes the price of shallot in the high level. One program to increase shallot ’s production is through Multiple Production Programs or Proliga which mainly use True Seed of Shallot. To spread these technologies, a dissemination method is needed, one is through the field school (FS) for extension workers and potential shallot farmers. An evaluation needs to be carried out to assess the effectiveness of the dissemination. The study aims to determine the increase in participant’s knowledge after attending the field school of shallot and their perception to the technologies. Data collection used a questionnaire taken twice, namely the initial test (pre-test) and the final test (post-test) after the field school activities. Data were analyzed using non-parametric Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test statistics. Farmer perceptions were analyzed using scoring method. The results of the analysis showed that the proliga field school activities significantly increased participants' knowledge with significance at 5% confidence level and the percentage of participants who increased their knowledge as much as 95.65%. Generally, farmers were interesting on the technology in Proliga but need a technology improvement on TSS to get easier application.
