One research objective for generating gear grinding is to increase economic efficiency and productivity of the process. Furthermore, the gear quality must be equal or higher compared to the non optimised process. In addition to the grinding process and the grinding tools, the dressing process can be suitable to lead to an increase of efficiency of generating gear grinding. Due to the variety of dressing tool specifications process users have the problem of selecting the best fitting dressing tool for their demands. Therefore, it is necessary to know the interactions of dressing tool specification and dressing tool wear. But the influence of the dressing tool specification onto dressing tool wear has yet not been sufficiently investigated for generating gear grinding.

Abstract Background This research was aimed to study the structure of actual investment costs and operating and maintenance costs for raising and distributing ground water through the use of different irrigation methods and for estimating the most important economic and technical indicators for raising and distributing groundwater for the most important agricultural crops in Wadi El-Gadid (New Valley province). Methods This work was based on secondary data issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and field data obtained through personal interviews of wheat and tomato farmers by irrigation method (spray, flooding, and the method of lifting and distribution of water in the case of the use of diesel and conveyor belts), and the use of electricity and deep pumps, through the questionnaire design. A sample of 40 farmers was used. Results The results showed that the productivity and economic efficiency indicators for the lifting and distribution of groundwater by a power source during the agricultural season 2017/2018 increased the average productivity of total yield, net revenue/fed., net return/pound, and irrigation water in both crops. Conclusion The results showed that the method of lifting and distribution of water is more efficient than irrigation by flooding.

Software of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has been widely used for land evaluation and detection of changes in land area. Using GIS it is possible now to combine different environmental, social, economic data, which in turn leads to lower costs and allows collecting and processing a variety of data with the exact calculation of the required results necessary for land use. Therefore, research has been focused on remotely controlled devices. The research has been conducted to simplify the land record keeping (land inventory) system and to improve land monitoring methods using remote-controlled devices. As a result, economic efficiency and productivity have been increased.

This paper discussed the productivity and economic efficiency of the fishing boat for giant threadfish (Eletheronema tetradactylum), which operated in the Malacca Straits. Eleven fishing boats with different weights (GT) were observed for their input as total cost and output as total benefit in order to calculate respective fishing boat productivity and  efficiency. It was found that fishing boat activities on giant threadfish using various boat sizes were efficient with BCR>1 and profitable.  However, the average economic efficiency of all boats was 1.65 with the highest efficiency of 1.74 for the 2 GT fishing boat.  The average productivity of the fishing boat was Rp 4.5 million or Rp 1.5 million/GT with its capital payback period of 29 months. The highest productivity was found on the 2 GT fishing boat of Rp 5.5 million or Rp 2.8 million/GT with its capital payback period of 27 months. However, The 4 GT fishing boat was recommended to be developed for artisanal fishery of giant threadfish because its economic efficiency was relatively high of 1.71 and its produktivity was Rp 5.1 million or Rp 1.3 million/GT with capital payback period of 29 months.   Keywords: economic efficiency, fishing boat,  Eletheronema tetradactylum, payback period
